Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 740:- New Teacher

The Imperial troops of the 5th division were as usual. It was normal for the Vice-Captains of each division to supervise the training of the troops. Once in a while, the Captains of each Division came to check the progress of the troops. Everyone understood that the Captains of each Division were very busy person. Aside from maintaining and constantly growing their Division, they also had to complete missions from time to time. Maintaining and constantly growing the size of the division was a major responsibility for each general. Each general was also the Captain of their division and each division specialized in a particular aspect of the military.

To keep their divisions strong and effective, the generals had to distribute cultivation resources fairly and wisely. This meant that the talented soldiers received more cultivation resources, while less talented troops received fewer. It was pointless to give extra resources to soldiers who couldnʼt use them as effectively. There was a fair ranking system in each division to help with this. The top-ranking troops got the most resources and other benefits, while those at the bottom got the least.

Besides this, there was also a monthly cultivation reward program. Troops who earned ten stars for their discipline, hard work, and dedication received extra rewards each month.

This also meant that every troop of a division received a fair amount of resources as long as they were dedicated and willing to work hard to become stronger. As long as they put in the effort, they can rise to the top. The generals also had to prepare monthly and yearly budgets for their divisions. Training the troops, feeding them, and paying their salaries all required careful financial planning. They had to make sure there was enough money for everything their division needed.

But their duties didnʼt stop there. Generals also needed to ensure that their troops gained real experience on the battlefield or in their specialized fields.

They had to organize recruitments to bring new soldiers into their divisions and expand their numbers.

Each general had vice-captains and other experts in their division to help with all these tasks. But even with this help, overseeing everything while also fulfilling their duties as generals was no easy task. They had to manage their time and resources effectively, balancing the immediate needs of their troops with the long-term goals of their division.

At first, the role of the General wasnʼt that complex, but as the size of the Istarin Empire grew, so did the size and number of the Empireʼs military. A strong military needed a strong and powerful military even if the Empire didnʼt plan to go to war. A strong army was needed to ensure the safety of its territories and to keep peace within the Empire. ”Be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.”

This was the principle that the Istarin Empire adopted and followed. Aditya could have kept all of these responsibilities under his control, but he felt that keeping all these powers and responsibilities under his control would do more harm than good. It was important to distribute power at all levels. A special team under Spencer was responsible for overseeing everything to ensure that there was no corruption, nepotism, or favoritism. The guards of the 5th Division training ground noticed the Emperor, along with a woman wearing a white mask, walking towards them. Seeing the Emperor, the guards immediately straightened their backs and became even more serious. ”Your Majesty.....!!” The guards saluted Aditya. ”Where is Amber?” Aditya could not sense her Aura anywhere within the capital. ”Your Majesty, Lady Amber has gone to the Silver Meadow Grove to hunt.” The guards knew that it was their Generalʼs hobby to hunt magic animals regularly. As a beast-human, Amber loved to eat what she had personally caught. She went hunting at least once every two days.

At that moment, Vice-Captain Ella, who had sensed Adityaʼs Aura, came running to the entrance. ”Your Majesty....!!” She saluted Aditya, but she couldnʼt hide her surprise at seeing Aditya there. This was the most unexpected thing that has happened today. If Aditya needed Amber, then he would just summon her through someone. ”Miss Ella, please tell Amber to visit the library when she returns.”

”Sure...!! Aditya did not wait any longer. He left with Luna. ”Who is she?” Ella wondered. The woman with a mask was an expert at hiding her Aura. Despite being so close, Ella failed to sense her Aura. ”Thank you for giving me the mask.” Luna thanked Aditya as they were walking back to the Dragon Palace. Because of the mask and as she had hidden her Aura, no one recognized her. Aditya gave her the mask because he knew that if people recognized her, then she would not be accepted, and people would say a lot of nasty things behind her back. ”I did what I felt would be the best for you,” Aditya said while walking in front. His words deeply touched her. Luna followed Aditya and began to wonder in her mind. ʼMaybe things would have been much different if I had met you earlier.ʼ ʼI have made a ton of mistakes. But you have given a chance for a fresh start.ʼ Luna was grateful to Aditya. ”This is where you will live from now on.” Aditya brought her to a hidden bedroom in the library. She wonʼt be staying in the Dragon Palace with Aditya and others. He still did not trust that to that level. Also, Aditya and others would definitely feel uncomfortable if she were to stay in the Dragon Palace. Besides, Aditya was sure that Luna wouldnʼt want to stay with Lilith. So this was the best option for now.

ʼUntil I upgrade the Dragon Palace. Once the Dragon Palace is upgraded I will arrange a new residence for her.ʼ This was slowly becoming an urgent task to finish. After all, with the growing number of the Dragonians and Dragon Warriors, more and more of them came to the Dragon Palace to cultivate. Although the Dragon Palace had special caves where the Dragonians and Dragon Warriors could cultivate, the number of cultivation caves was insufficient compared to the growing numbers of Dragonians and Dragon warriors.

”I will inform the guards about you. You can freely roam around the Dragon Palace. If you want, you can officially join the 5th Division and stay with Amber or find a residence in the Capital through Amber. I have no problem with that.” Since she had signed the contract, Aditya wasnʼt afraid of her running away or betraying him. Besides, so far it looked like Luna has really changed. ”Thank you!!” Aditya just nodded. ”If you need anything then find Watson. If there is nothing else, I will be taking my leave.” With that, Aditya teleported back to his office. After returning to his office, Aditya opened the system and began to check what other things he needed to complete before he could upgrade the Dragon Palace. In the last few months, Aditya has been slowly accumulating the needed materials needed to upgrade the Dragon Palace.

Collecting 100 tons of gold and refined iron wasnʼt a difficult thing for Aditya. Given his vast territory, gathering these resources was a very easy thing. Besides, half of these resources were obtained by plundering the wealth of his defeated enemies and Kingdoms. 『To upgrade the Dragon Palace to level 2, the host must gather the following materials while also completing some requirements.』

1. 100 tons of gold [100/100] [Done] 2. 100 tons of refined iron [100/100] [Done]

3. Increase the number of Dragonians to 50,000 [45,000/50,000] 4. Increase the number of Dragon Warriors to 5,000 [10,000/5,000] [Done]

5. Find the Tree of Blood [1/1] [Done] 6. 10 tons of Mana Crystals [10/10] [Done]』

ʼI need to increase the number of Dragonians by 5,000 to reach my goal.ʼ ʼI will ask the Generals to nominate the most suited Imperial troops to become Dragonians.ʼ Each Division will be given around 700 slots. Seven hundred soldiers from each Division will become Dragonians. As for the rest 100 slots, these slots will be given to the Dukes of the Istarin Empire. The Dukes can nominate their most trusted soldiers or members of their own family to become a Dragonian.

ʼNext time, I will give more slots to the nobles.ʼ After all, Aditya knew the craze among the nobles to become Dragonians. Becoming Dragonians was the most honorable thing to the nobles.

Aditya was able to find the remaining needed Mana stones from Felixʼs storage ring. Felixʼs entire wealth was in his storage ring. Since he trusted no one, he kept everything valuable he had in his storage ring. Other than obtaining nearly 8 and a half tons of Mana Stones, Aditya also found a lot of things. His storage ring was by far the biggest storage ring that Aditya had ever obtained. ʼTomorrow, I will upgrade the Dragon Palace to level 2.ʼ Aditya could hardly control his excitement. ----------------
