Chapter 2828 You’re Not Nan Hua

Jiang Chen’s spiritual energy covered the whole Wang Di Mountain. At this moment, he saw another person, someone that looked exactly like Nan Hua. However, he was an old man and was shocked.

“Who is he? Nan Hua the Enlightened? Then who’s this in front of me?”

Jiang Chen was confused. He felt an extreme sense of familiarity with that person and the person even looked up, as if he’s looking into his eyes, however the person’s eyes looked confused.

“No!” Jiang Chen’s expression changed.

He suddenly thought of a possibility, this person may not be the real Nan Hua, one was a youngster and the other, an old man. Could both of them be Nan Hua’s clones?

Jiang Chen suddenly remembered that Xing Feng disappeared without a trace after coming here. Where did he go? Did he run off to someplace to cultivate? Or he got eliminated?

“Be careful!”

A ringing and childish shout was heard in Jiang Chen’s mind. His expression changed, he knew that it came from the spirit of his blade.

The Heavenly Dragon Sword slashed towards the iron tree with a devastating qi all of a sudden. However, it wasn’t enough as the tree immediately regrew back to its original state.

When Jiang Chen opened his eyes, the tree blossomed and completely sealed him off.

“You’re not Nan Hua the Enlightened!” Jiang Chen shouted, his gaze became sharp and his breathing became heavy.

He found out that this person had a scheme that would endanger him.

“Hehe, isn’t it too late to find out now? A mere Primal Origin Treasure trying to cut the vines of my Ling Long Treasure Tree? Keep dreaming. I would probably fear you if the spirit had grown. Unfortunately, your spirit just grew a little and contains a little Dao Essence, pretty surprising. I thought it’ll be enough once the spirit reaches the Emperor Realm, your talent is pretty astonishing. Perhaps, the Dao of Freedom will reach a greater height if you take it.” Nan Hua was still wearing a smile, not feeling surprised that Jiang Chen realised his scheme as it was already too late for Jiang Chen.

“Who are you?” Jiang Chen asked, staring at the opposite party coldly.

“How did you know that I’m not the real Nan Hua? If I’m not Nan Hua, how can I pass you the ‘Nan Hua True Scripture’? Hehe, little child, don’t be too quick to judge. It couldn’t be that Nan Hua is lying to you. Not everything you see is the truth. Although your Dao Essence is not solid, it’s good enough for me. I should change my appearance after devouring your Dao Essence.” Nan Hua said with a smile, everything was under his control.

“So, Xing Feng died, silently killed off by you.” Jiang Chen said.

“Your souls are pretty useful to me. I only wanted some Dao Essence from teaching you the Nan Hua True Scripture, obviously, you did not disappoint me.” Nan Hua said with a smile.

He only saw Jiang Chen as a cauldron, one that collects Dao Essence.

“Then, are you really Nan Hua the Enlightened? And who’s the one on the mountain on the northernmost peak?”

Jiang Chen’s expression became heavy. He was confused by this Nan Hua, what was this scheme?

“Bah… I’ll let you know the reason for your death. I am Nan Hua and also not. My true body is this Ling Long Treasure Tree. Whereas my spirit comes from Zhuang Zhou’s dark side, to prolong my life, Zhuang Zhou made a wild decision, he used a part of his soul to prolong my life. He proclaimed that everything has its own rule in this world, yin and yang, turning the Heavenly Astral upside down. It’s a pity that his Dao Essence could not change anything in the end. And I was born. You can call me Nan Hua The Enlightened or you may also call me the Ling Long Treasure Tree, hahaha. I would’ve reached the Heavenly State if it wasn’t for Zhuang Zhou. It’s a damn pity. I wasted billions of years worth of cultivation to save him, yet he put me in this place. I wanted to reign supreme upon this world yet he’s stopping me at every turn. In the end, it cost his own life. Hmph, he wanted to change me, impossible. I am me, what can he do to me? Zhuang Zhou’s Dao Essence is remarkable, possessing great powers, yet he still fell! I refuse to believe that I could not go against the world and reign supreme!” Nan Hua’s eyes became cold, with a hint of anger. The suppressed feelings in his heart could not be contained anymore.

From his point of view, he’s a supreme expert, he should be reborn once he could gather back enough Dao Essence and he would become the true inheritor of the Dao of Freedom.

“Therefore, you want to replace the real Nan Hua The Enlightened!” Jiang Chen said, feeling shocked.

“Not replace, I am Nan Hua and Nan Hua is me, what is there to replace? I want to re-cultivate the Dao of Freedom. However, Zhuang Zhou, that old fella does not want to, the Dao of Freedom is peerless, yet he let it all go when he was at his prime, foolish! I too can obtain the peerless Dao of Freedom without him.” Nan Hua said coldly but with vigour.

Jiang Chen was shocked by his spirit, however he will never be able to get back that Dao of Freedom.

“You’re not Zhuang Zhou, you’ll never understand him, you’re but a small part of his intent, a broken spirit, you’ll never become Zhuang Zhou.” Jiang Chen said with fiery eyes.

“Hmph, not even Zhuang Zhou is my match once I’ve re-cultivated the Dao of Freedom. You’re but a mortal that has not reached the Emperor Realm, how could you understand my ambition? Zhuang Zhou, I want this world, this universe, to bow before me, I shall complete the Dao of Freedom that you have given up!”

Nan Hua looked towards the northern peak with a solemn, firm and prideful eyes.

“Now, your spirit, your Dao Essence, everything shall be mine.” Nan Hua’s qi was unleashed as the ten-thousand year iron tree blossomed.

Three thousand years, it was but a split second when Jiang Chen woke up. He knew that this fortune couldn’t be gained so easily.
