Chapter 616: Chapter 615: The conditions of my Great Britain are here

Night had fallen.

Over the Atlantic Ocean, the ”Old Eagle” aircraft carrier was carrying out its patrol duties as usual. For the sailors aboard this carrier, it was just another typical day.

But soon, with the sound of alarms, everything began to change.

”What in the world is happening?”

Marching into the command center with long strides, the captain of the ”Old Eagle” looked at the screens in front of him. Hearing his question, the sailor operating the console hurriedly replied.

”Report to the captain! Radar has detected an unidentified helicopter approaching our vessel!”

”What?”

Upon hearing this, the captain was taken aback.

”Immediately send a warning to the other party and order them to leave at once!”

”We’ve sent a warning, but there has been no response!”

”What in the world is going on?”

As he looked at the red dot getting closer on the radar, the captain’s face grew stern. It wasn’t wartime, but if it was a spy plane from another country, it was far too close to the aircraft carrier. Yet, if it was one of their own planes, why wasn’t it sending an identification signal?

”Ask for the other party’s identity again, and issue another warning! Get the anti-air defenses ready!”

”No, that’s not necessary, captain. It’s one of ours.”

But just as the captain gave the order, suddenly, his executive officer, who had been behind him, spoke up. The captain, upon hearing the executive officer’s response, was momentarily stunned.

”One of ours? What do you mean ’one of ours’?”

While questioning, he turned his head to look at his executive officer—then, he saw the latter giving him a ferocious smile.

”They belong to ’us,’ captain!”

Before the words were fully spoken, the crew watched in shock as their executive officer, like a wild beast, pounced on the captain, pinned him to the ground, then opened his mouth, revealing sharp teeth as he bit deeply into the captain’s neck. With force, he tore open the captain’s throat, turning him into a corpse!

”What, what is happening?”

Witnessing this scene, every sailor in the room was astounded; they had no idea why something like this would happen. Why would their executive officer suddenly attack the captain? But they didn’t have time to ponder this question, because at the same time, mutations started occurring among their colleagues. Screaming, they lunged at their own mates, turning them into mutilated corpses.

Soon, an unexpected battle broke out on the aircraft carrier...

”...So, what you’re saying is that the UK’s aircraft carrier was hijacked by those vampires?”

Fang Zheng looked at Intagura with a bewildered expression, as if to say you must be joking.

”A group of vampires took a helicopter and then hijacked the British aircraft carrier? Don’t you have escort ships for your carriers in the UK?”

”...Budget’s been tight these past few years...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s questioning, Intagura had an expression that said ”The affairs of Great Britain are my own”, though her confidence was clearly lacking. No wonder, for the once-great Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets, the former ruler of the seas, now had its aircraft carrier hijacked by a group of vampires, and the reason was as absurd as a lack of funds to maintain a navy...

That would be a laughing stock if word got out.

”So, we are to clean up the vampires who hijacked the aircraft carrier?”

”Exactly.”

Intagura nodded.

”But at the moment, we haven’t figured out a good method. The vampires clearly have control over the entire carrier. If we send aircraft to transport personnel, they’ll be shot down by the carrier’s air defense systems. But if we rely on large ships...”

”...we won’t make it in time.”

Walter also chimed in from the side.

”And Alucard is still a vampire...”

Fang Zheng finally understood why Intagura and her colleagues looked so troubled. The vampire image in this world matched the legends—they couldn’t cross flowing waters. This meant that even someone as powerful as Alucard was at a loss facing the ocean. Although he could emulate those vampires and take a plane—if he were to be sunk by the carrier’s anti-aircraft fire, then the most powerful vampire of the century would perish in the most ridiculous way.

”Leave it to me.”

Fang Zheng guessed that Intagura had summoned him to see if he had a good solution. Now that he had decided to part ways with her, he naturally wouldn’t hold back. However, hearing Fang Zheng’s response left Intagura and Walter with expressions of surprise.

”Do you have a method, Fang Zheng?”

”Of course, give me the exact location of that carrier... Oh, and Alucard must know where that what’s-it’s-called organization’s lair is, right? Give me both pieces of information. I’ll take care of those vampires on the carrier for you, and we’ll call it even.”

”...Alright then.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s last remark, a frown crossed Intagura’s face, but she said nothing more and simply nodded. Then she turned around, took a map from Walter, and handed it to Fang Zheng.

”But how do you plan to get there? It’s best not to waste time, after all, no one can guarantee the aircraft carrier will stay in the same place. Not only that, but they also have magic bullets that can even take down missiles.”

”Magic bullets?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng chuckled lightly.

”Don’t worry, it’s not a problem for me.”

”Then do you need to prepare anything?”

Since Fang Zheng said there was no problem, Intagura naturally wouldn’t ask further. However, she was still curious about how Fang Zheng intended to reach the aircraft carrier.

”Do you need me to prepare a mode of transportation for you?”

”No need, but it’s a bit too cramped here...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng glanced at the corridor around him.

”Is there a more spacious place? It would be best to find an empty square with no people...”

”???”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s request, Intagura and Walter exchanged puzzled glances, but soon, Walter nodded in agreement.

”Of course, please follow me, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Quickly, led by Walter, Fang Zheng and his group arrived at an outdoor parking lot... Well, in London, land is incredibly precious, and finding a more open space isn’t easy.

”This place... looks a bit narrow, but it’ll do...”

Surveying the parking lot before him, Fang Zheng murmured to himself, then turned his head to look at Intagura.

”I shall take my leave now. Oh, and by the way, I’ll leave the cleanup to you.”

”Wait, what are you going to do? Cleanup? Explain first...”

For some reason, when she heard Fang Zheng’s words, Intagura suddenly had a very bad feeling. But before she could say anything more, Fang Zheng’s surroundings suddenly erupted in a strong airflow, quickly turning into a violent whirlwind that spread out in all directions.

”What on earth is this guy doing?!”

Staring at the roaring hurricane before her, Intagura was also taken aback. She had considered the possibility that Fang Zheng might cause some commotion, but she hadn’t expected it to be on such a grand scale!

”Lady Intagura!”

Just then, Walter and Seras hurried over to stand in front of Intagura, shielding her from the spinning, fierce storm.

”Really, that Fang Zheng, what does he think he’s doing...”

But before Intagura could finish her complaint, the storm before her eyes began to subside, and then a giant shadow emerged from within.

”This is...”

Intagura’s eyes widened, disbelieving what she saw before her. Not only her but also Seras and Walter stood frozen, as if they had been hit by a petrification spell, completely unresponsive.

”Boom!!”

A long tail descended, crushing the row of luxury cars parked in the lot into scrap metal, and the hundred-meter-long giant dragon thus raised its head high, eyeing the tiny humans before it.

”How is this... how is this possible?”

Facing the giant dragon, Intagura was at a loss for words. She had of course guessed Fang Zheng was not human, but she had never imagined he could be a dragon!

The pitch-black giant dragon spread its wings, like a monster that blotted out the sun, and even Intagura and Walter felt an indescribable pressure in the face of such an inhumanly powerful presence. At that moment, Intagura finally realized the source of the oppressive force previously exerted by Fang Zheng... It was the same as Alucard’s, an incomprehensible and terrifying feature exhibited by an inhuman being, one that humans could not resist!

The giant dragon lowered its head to gaze upon the people below. Even though they knew it was Fang Zheng transformed, being watched by such a behemoth still instinctively filled them with fear. And Seras, in particular, ended up trembling and sitting on the ground, looking completely paralyzed.

”Well then, I bid you all farewell until we meet again. Let’s keep in touch when there’s time.”

Having transformed back into his dragon form, Fang Zheng nodded toward the people, then flapped his wings. In the next moment, they saw the giant dragon shoot straight up into the sky like an arrow from a bow, disappearing from view in the blink of an eye.

”..........”

”..........”

Looking at the now empty sky, everyone stood dazed in place, silent for a long time. It wasn’t until much later that Alucard’s voice echoed again.

”I really didn’t expect that guy to be a dragon... Interesting, it’s my first time seeing a giant dragon. But speaking of which, Intagura... how are you going to clean up this mess?”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Intagura snapped back to reality. She looked at the parking lot, now in complete disarray, and her expression darkened.

”... That bastard!!”
