Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

101: Chapter 101 Encounter“Conduct orbital strikes on the planet’s Black Belt and the regions north of it to ensure a large-scale destruction of the planet’s ecosystem.”

At the General’s command, the bottom of the fleet opened up, and dense clusters of muzzles emerged from within.

“Pew pew pew...”

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Because Eighteen Stars was so massive, the fleet’s volley seemed like quite a commotion, but it had almost no impact on the ecosystem of Eighteen Stars.

Seeing that the weapon systems had overloaded, the General could only order the fleet to cease fire.

“Head to the South Pole to replenish energy.”

The fleet retracted its gun barrels and began flying toward the South Pole.

...

Lin Sheng hadn’t moved far from his main body when his consciousness ran head-on into the Origin Star fleet that the General was leading this way.

The lead flagship was about 50,000 meters long, while the other escort ships ranged from 20,000 to 30,000 meters.

Surrounded by so many ships, Lin Sheng felt a bit of psychological pressure.

Mainly, his body wasn’t as large as these ships, and the creations of a technological civilization were full of uncertainties; fighting exotic beasts was like fighting primitive people by comparison.

Lin Sheng wasn’t sure what kind of combat power this ship could unleash, but during his Evolution, he could certainly investigate a bit.

「The Origin Star fleet is equipped with antimatter weapon, which have significant lethality against physical organisms.」

「At full firepower, they can destroy my physical body.」

Just as Lin Sheng was investigating the Origin Star fleet, the Origin Star people also noticed the large pit Lin Sheng had dug and immediately spotted Lin Sheng at the bottom of the pit.

Because they had been ambushed by the Bone Stripper before, the Origin Star people were currently in a high-strung state of mind.

Therefore, the moment they discovered Lin Sheng’s body, they didn’t hesitate and directly poured a massive amount of the fleet’s firepower onto Lin Sheng’s location.

“Rumble!”

One explosion after another echoed across the mountain peak. Watching this, Lin Sheng couldn’t help but frown.

Bombarding right off the bat—it seems this civilization isn’t a kind one.

After the dust settled, a large chunk of South Pole Mountain’s peak was missing. Lin Sheng’s body floated motionlessly in the air above the flattened mountain platform.

Seeing this, the Origin Star personnel controlling the fleet’s firepower wanted to bombard again, but they were stopped by the General.

The General called over the elderly man from before and asked, “What do you think of this situation?”

The elder frowned as he examined Lin Sheng’s body, speaking in a hesitant tone, “Attack it once more, any way you like. I need to observe further.”

Hearing this, the General didn’t hesitate and directly pressed a button in front of him.

“Swoosh~”

“Bang!”

Under the gaze of the Origin Star crowd, the missile passed directly through Lin Sheng’s body and landed on the platform that had been blasted out below.

The bomb exploded, leaving a modest crater in its place.

“It should not be in the same dimension as us.”

After seeing this, the elder spoke thoughtfully.

“I’m not sure if this creature can attack us.”

“But the fact at hand is that we are unable to land an attack on it.”

“Not only that, I’ve also noticed a detail.”

The elder gestured with his fingers.

The nearby Origin Star people focused their attention, watching the elder’s two fingers.

Under their gaze, Lin Sheng’s body began to grow larger and longer.

The process was very slow, but the Origin Star people were very patient.

Once Lin Sheng’s body had exceeded the range defined by the elder’s two fingers, the elder retracted his fingers.

“Do you see? It is growing.”

“Although this rate of growth might not be obvious to it, from the perspective of our size, it is extremely terrifying.”

“It is currently in a dormant state, and this state should be undisturbed by external noise.”

“But if it were to wake up...”

“The consequences would be unimaginable.”

The elder sighed.

“I have a feeling that its threat is even more terrifying than that Gray Mist Giant Beast.”

“If it is allowed to grow, it might be a catastrophe for us Origin Star people.”

After speaking, the elder looked toward Old General Yu She, waiting for his decision.

The Old General looked at Lin Sheng outside with a deep frown, finding it difficult to make a decision for a moment.

If they didn’t kill this creature while it was still weak, it might become a major hidden danger for their civilization in the future.

But the problem was, the Old General had no idea how to effectively damage Lin Sheng.

Their level of civilization was limited; they didn’t even have independent jump technology, let alone cross-dimensional strike capabilities.

Facing this ’dimensional’ creature Lin Sheng, they could only watch, completely powerless against it.

“Everyone stay inside the ships. Do not go out.”

“Take turns staying alert to this creature’s every move. The other ships will proceed with normal energy collection.”

“As soon as this creature makes any unusual movement, issue a warning on the communication channel immediately.”

After thinking it over, the Old General finally ordered the fleet to collect energy on the spot.

Firstly, the energy conversion rate here was relatively high, and secondly, Lin Sheng’s current size wasn’t that large yet; the fleet didn’t feel as powerless facing Lin Sheng as they did against the Bone Stripper.

At least, that’s what the Old General and the other members of the fleet thought.

Under Lin Sheng’s watch, the ships split into two groups.

One group consisted of only one ship, which deployed a main cannon aimed directly at Lin Sheng, ready to fire at any moment.

The other group comprised the remaining ships, which scattered around to collect black stone from South Pole Mountain while deploying small signal base stations across Eighteen Stars.

These signal base stations served for observation and signal transmission; with them, even if the fleet were sacrificed here, successors could easily learn about the situation on Eighteen Stars.

Lin Sheng watched all of this, but he didn’t take any action.

With the Origin Star people’s level of technology, their understanding of consciousness was still superficial.

Even if Lin Sheng stood right in front of them, they wouldn’t see anything other than feeling a bit of pressure.

Until his physical Evolution was complete, Lin Sheng couldn’t do anything to the Origin Star people either.

Everything would have to wait until the Evolution was finished.

Lin Sheng had about half a year of Evolution time left.

During these six months, the Origin Star people would use the energy collected from South Pole Mountain to charge their ships, then fly back to the orbit near the Black Belt to strike it.

During this half-year period, Lin Sheng just observed these actions of the Origin Star people.

During this time, some creatures also broke through the atmosphere to attack the Origin Star fleet in space.

But space is the home turf of technological civilizations; after creating some distance, a few Dark matter bombs were enough to take down even giant beasts tens of thousands of meters in size.
