Demonic Po*nstar System

Chapter 456: Into the Underground Facility

“Have you had your fun? We got the info. Let’s go.”

The mood changed in an instant.

Aria’s playful pout evaporated. Her reflection straightened. “Right,” she said quietly, and without another word, she grabbed her crescent staff and followed Nyx out of the room.

The boy swallowed, and so did many teenagers watching the Moon Valkyrie’s POV. All humor was gone, replaced by incredible tension. For a moment, thanks to Aria’s masterful playfulness and ability to entertain kids, thanks to her being a big sister who even acted as a mother for some years due to Julia’s absence, the viewers forgot that Valhalla’s Sinners were doing something very strange!

Aria’s POV drifted after Nyx, past the pristine hall and into the corridor that led back to the others. The screams had stopped. And somehow, that made it worse.

The camera moved around the corner.

The many adults who elected to watch Aria’s POV instead, finding the others’ too much to bear, had their breath suddenly catch.

Blood. So much blood. It painted the marble floor in dark pools, smeared in streaks where boots had walked through it. Torn scraps of skin. And most unsettling of all…

Fingernails. Several of them. Pale, bloody, some with bits of flesh still attached.

The chat went dead silent.

Elise Dupre, once a proud business leader, hung limply in the demoness’s grip. Elise’s face was swollen, streaked with blood and tears, her breath ragged and shallow. Her hands… ruined. Wrapped in a hasty cloth to keep her conscious, but the damage was unmistakable.

Bastet stood nearby, wiping her hands with a white cloth. Her expression was blank, detached. She seemed to be a lot more concerned about cleaning herself of the filth staining her delicate skin than about the fact that she just brutally tortured another living being.

Kaiden stood ahead of them all.

His shoulders were rigid. Jaw clenched. His eyes, usually light, playful, teasing, were dark. Even through the screen, the boy could feel it:

He was barely keeping himself together. This man was about to explode.

How could he not? Kaiden already had a good idea of what he was about to see, making him enraged even before his eyes were presented with the sight.

They moved through Elise’s mansion, soon reaching the library. Elise whimpered, weakly raising a shaking hand. Her fingers, what remained of them, gripped a thick leather-bound book on the middle shelf.

*Click.*

The bookshelf shuddered and split down the center. A hidden panel slid open, revealing a metal elevator bathed in sterile white light.

No one spoke.

They stepped inside.

The elevator descended in silence. Aria’s POV drifted toward Kaiden. His reflection in the elevator’s metal wall looked like a man walking into his own execution.

The elevator doors parted.

A cold underground hall stretched ahead, illuminated by white hexagonal lights embedded in the ceiling. Sleek steel walls hugged them from all sides. There was no dust, no age. This wasn’t an old and abandoned safety bunker, only to be used in case of emergency. This was a well-kept and clearly actively used facility.

A large circular platform awaited at the center of the room with runes glowing beneath glass-like flooring.

A transporter.

They stepped onto it, Kaiden at the front, the women in a loose formation behind, Calypso dragging Elise like luggage.

A soft chime sounded.

Then, *whoosh.*

The world around them blurred. Walls became streaks of light as the platform shot forward, faster than any mundane vehicle. Beneath the earth. Far from the city above. Hidden where no satellites or mana-scanners could detect.

“What is this place…?” The boy muttered to himself. He didn’t blink.

None of the viewers did.

They arrived at the end of the tunnel.

A towering metal blast door loomed before them, thick enough to survive a bombing, or worse, a strong awakened going at it with all their might. Beside it, an electronic keypad stood, waiting for a code.

Elise stared at it.

Shaking. Silent.

Then she shook her head.

“No! I won’t tell you the code! I won’t! You’ll never get in! I bet the Awakened Association is about to get here and save me!”

“Bad decision,” Calypso purred. Her expression shifted from that of mild curiosity as she observed the strange underground base to one of intense enjoyment.

The cruel demoness reached for Elise’s eye with the thumb and forefinger of her free hand. She did not hesitate. With a sickening, squelching sound, Calypso tore the eyeball out of its socket with utmost sadism.

Elise screamed, releasing a piercing sound of pure, raw agony that echoed in the metallic chamber. She writhed with her ruined hands flailing and blood pouring down her face where the eye had been.

Calypso observed the eyeball for a moment before tossing it high into the air.

As the wet, bloody orb came free, reached its peak height, and began its slow descent as gravity took hold, the demoness acted. Her tail shot out like a whip. It caught the eyeball in the air, and the razor-sharp tip slashed it in two before it could hit the floor.

Elise, with her single remaining eye, watched the halves of her first eyeball land on the pristine metal floor.

Calypso leaned close. “I don’t think you need your eyes to give us what we want,” she cooed with her fingers reaching forward for the other one.

“Don’t cut the second one apart, Cali. Maybe there is an eye scanner somewhere further in,” Luna cut in, her tone surprisingly sharp and practical.

“Oh, good idea! I am not exactly familiar with human defenses,” the demoness chirped at the Storm Valkyrie, accompanied by a happy grin.

“Yeah, I just felt like I had to step in. Your cruel and sadistic side can be a bit much.”

“Working on it~”

Luna’s suggestion was delivered without malice or hesitation, playing along with the demoness perfectly, treating the mutilation like a tactical discussion.

That was the breaking point. Elise collapsed inwardly with her final resistance crumbling. She broke again, sobbing hysterically, begging for mercy.

“STOP! PLEASE! I’ll do it! I’ll open it! Just don’t touch me again!”

Writhing in Calypso’s grip, Elise slammed her swollen fingers against the keypad. The lights flashed green, and with a heavy, mechanical hiss, the large metal door slid open, revealing the true bunker beyond.

The space was immense, carved out of the earth into a vast cavern hundreds of feet tall and stretching for what looked like miles in either direction. The ceiling was crisscrossed with thousands of powerful, artificial sunlights that bathed the scene in a sterile, yellow glow.

Below, the entire floor was a sprawling, orderly complex of farms. Rows upon rows of crops, various grains, fruits, and vegetables, were tended by hundreds of figures moving between the trenches.

Kaiden’s breath caught in his throat. He saw them immediately: the people tending the crops. On their necks, thick, black slave collars were visibly clamped.

Their condition was horrifying. Many were either completely naked or wore only sad excuses for clothing, thin rags that barely covered them. They were visibly malnourished; their ribs showed beneath taut skin. Kaiden noticed the prevalent skin tones; most of the slaves appeared to be of African or Asian descent.

The Paragon of Sin closed his eyes for a moment. His jaw worked against itself. He had expected the worst, but he was forced to realize that his ‘worst’ did not equate to the worst of the real human scum occupying the same plane of existence as he and his girls had.

This would be worse than he expected, and what his lovers expected as well. The three Valkyries yelped and placed a hand on their mouths. Bastet hissed in disgust. Calypso observed with curious eyes.

The slaves noticed the disturbance. A few heads turned, their eyes wide and dull. They recognized Elise, the woman now being dragged in, bloody and crying. The sight of their mistress, who ruled them with an iron fist, being hauled in like damaged goods, shocked them into silence.

At that moment, the stream showing the sheer scale of the hidden bunker and the visible slave collars was being watched by millions across the globe. The algorithm had pushed the stream to critical mass, driven by the immense, non-stop engagement of every viewer.

People across continents collectively skipped a breath.

One such person was the President of the United States.

The scene of the vast underground farm filled his vision.

He gripped the armrests of his chair.

His voice came as a furious rumble.

“You motherfuckers…”
