Demonic Po*nstar System

Chapter 189: Unexpected Reaction

The titanic clash between Yunohana Tsukikage and Dr. Roht had established one undeniable truth to the thousands watching:

This stream was no longer just adult entertainment. It was historic—a gathering of titans.

While lesser viewers who didn’t mind blowing 1,000 bucks for the fun of it continued spamming emotes, memes, and copypasta, there existed a class above them. The true big dogs of the awakened world. People whose names could shift policy, silence armies, or sway dungeon economies with a single Chronos donation.

Each of them, at some point in the stream, had purchased at least one question slot.

And unlike the masses, they weren’t looking for spectacle.

They were here for insight.

Awakened Association Secretary Grace.

Colonel Martinez.

Grand Strategist Zhao.

High Chairwoman Seraphine.

Astrid Valheim. Gareth Lyons. Selene Morgrave.

And many more.

Legends of the new reality brought to Earth by the arrival of the mana apocalypse.

Each had asked a question, the sort that could shape policies, spawn research papers, or justify black-budget task forces.

Some asked about Bastet’s physiology.

Others asked about Kaiden’s growing combat potential.

Some—ever the tacticians—veiled their inquiries behind political courtesy, skirting the implications of Kaiden’s ”monster subjugation” method without saying it outright.

- Grand Strategist Zhao: How does Bastet now feel about humanity in general? Has her view of other monsters, particularly those still within dungeons or uncontrolled, changed? This could indicate a shift in allegiances or a new understanding of monster psychology.

Kaiden didn’t look at the camera this time.

He looked down at Bastet, who was—yet again—curled around his length, the water sloshing around them quite violently from her eager movements.

His tone was firm.

”Bastet.”

The golden-eyed feline paused mid-slurp, licking her lips clean with a glimmer of satisfaction.

But his eyes told her it wasn’t playtime anymore.

”...Master?” she murmured.

”Answer the question.”

She tilted her head in thought, then shrugged.

”I don’t care about humans.”

Her hand idly traced small circles over Kaiden’s penis.

”I care about you, Master. Only you. Maybe your loved ones as well, because losing them would make you sad. But humanity as a whole?” She yawned. ”They can go extinct for all I care.”

She smirked.

”As for monsters? They’re beneath you. And now, beneath me.”

Her tail flicked once, dismissively.

”Let them rot.”

Kaiden gave a subtle nod to the camera.

Zhao, from his war room, simply folded his hands over his mouth. No further comment.

- Astrid Valheim, Valkyrie Order: What exactly was the binding mechanism that led to her subjugation? Was it magical, psychological, or both? And more importantly, does she cooperate with full volition, or is there compulsion involved?”

Kaiden raised a brow at Bastet. She purred in response to the attention and giggled softly.

”Oh, I have absolutely no idea,” she replied without hesitation. ”One moment, I was Bastet the Sun-Kissed Pharaoh, Mistress of Sands and Devourer of Flesh.”

She mimed a grandiose pose, arms raised, chin tilted.

”...The next, I was trembling, knees on the floor, staring up at my one-of-a-kind man of a Master.”

She leaned up and kissed Kaiden’s cock reverently.

”As for affection? I chose him. All mine. All his. Nothing is compelling me. And I wouldn’t betray him even if I could.”

Then, more quietly, she added:

”Because that’s the last thing I want to do...”

- Colonel Martinez: Beyond her visibly shifted appearance and behavioral changes, has Bastet undergone any other measurable biological or magical changes since her subjugation? Changes in mana signature, physical attributes, unique abilities? This could offer new insight into post-subjugation monster evolution.

Kaiden raised a hand.

”Denied.”

- Colonel Martinez: Excuse me?

”That information is classified,” Kaiden replied calmly. ”Too sensitive. Too exploitable. You’ll have to ask something else.”

There was a long pause on the stream. A beat of silence filled with curious whispers from the crowd and the heavy hum of interest from the power players.

- Colonel Martinez: ... So be it. Then I wish to know...

And then, finally...

- High Chairwoman Seraphine: Does Bastet retain full or partial memories from her time as a dungeon boss monster? If so, what does she recall about her directives, her environment, or any sentient interactions before her subjugation? This is crucial for understanding monster intelligence and potential strategic data.

He gently cupped her cheek, brushing back a strand of her black hair. ”Do you remember anything... from before?”

Her ears twitched.

”Before?” she echoed.

He nodded. ”When you were the boss monster of the desert dungeon. Do you remember what your job was down there? Were you simply ruling it because you could, or did you have some more important duty?”

This question, and the others Kaiden chose to answer, were not selected at random.

He played a calculated, high-stakes game. Kaiden knew that if he kept all information regarding Bastet and the nature of monster subjugation to himself, he would inevitably be hunted down like a dog, regardless of his burgeoning power.

By providing answers to their most pressing questions, particularly those concerning monster intelligence, behavior, and the intricacies of his abilities, he could earn himself a vital measure of favor and leverage with the world’s most powerful players. It was a strategic move designed to build trust and, more importantly, continue to make significant bank while progressing his System stats.

This wasn’t to say he expected universal acceptance or a lack of future threats. He was acutely aware that many would still demand Bastet’s presence in their research labs, and his own, for invasive study.

He knew he was accumulating enemies, those who saw monsters as nothing more than resources to be exploited, or those who simply coveted his unique power. But this public disclosure, under his terms, was the best defense he had to lessen the immediate, overwhelming hostility aimed squarely at him and his Valhalla’s Sinners.

Bastet tilted her head in confusion.

”...What’s a boss monster?”

Kaiden gave her a patient smile as he ventured to explain. ”It’s the final enemy of a dungeon. Killing them usually gives us—awakened humans—more XP and loot than non-boss monsters do.”

She blinked slowly, clearly trying to understand.

”Final enemy...?” she whispered. Her brows creased. ”I... I don’t remember. I remember... heat. Sand. The sound of chains. And then...”

Her hands slowly rose to the sides of her head.

”...and then darkness. Then you.”

Her voice trembled. Then her eyes widened.

”Wait... wait. There was someone. A voice. No... a... command?”

Her fingers dug into her scalp.

The purring stopped.

Then she whimpered, falling to her hands and knees, clutching her temples.

”AAAH! It hurts!”

”Bastet?!” Kaiden instantly dropped forward, catching her in his arms.

”Master!” she gasped, whimpering again. ”It’s burning! It’s like something is scratching inside my skull!”

All three Valkyries had moved at once. Luna held her shoulders, Nyx wrapped her in an astral barrier to stabilize her aura, and Aria brought out a healing potion.

Kaiden pulled the pained felinid closer, sitting up in the water and letting her curl against his lap.

Gone was her lewd eagerness.

In its place... was a frightened girl, desperate for his comfort.

”...Shhh,” he whispered, stroking her hair. ”It’s okay. Don’t force it.”

She whimpered again, nose buried into his chest. ”I don’t want to try and remember, Master. I just want to stay here with you. Is that... okay?”

He nodded, holding her tighter.

”You will. You’re safe now. You’re here with me. That’s all that matters.”

Kaiden’s expression softened with genuine concern. ”Alright, everyone. That’s it for now. My partner needs to rest. No more questions will be answered today.”

And with that, the stream abruptly cut out, leaving millions across the globe staring at blank screens, their questions, demands, and outrage silenced by a single, definitive act of protection.
