Death Guns In Another World

Chapter 1005 - 946: Meeting the Empress?

ʼʼI wonder how many XP I will need to hit Level 200? 700000?” Alex wondered after checking his status, his level was slowly rising but he was well aware that he had to work harder to quickly catch up to Lilith and Typhania.

ʼʼBrother, come out the empress has come back and asked to meet you.ʼʼ

Outside of the door, Gracier called out for her.

Alex chuckled. ʼʼI thought I would have to wait for another day before meeting her. The meeting must have ended.ʼʼ

He went to change into nice clothes after taking a bath.

When he walked out of his room he met Kuina. She seemed worried which made Alex question her.

ʼʼWhat is? Is there any problem?” He asked as he approached her.

ʼʼNothing, letʼs talk once youʼre back,ʼʼ Kuina said and passed him.

ʼʼDonʼt worry Iʼll see you later.ʼʼ Alex didnʼt pressure. There was something else she wanted to say but in the end, she didnʼt say it anymore. She must have wanted to warn him to watch out for her motherʼs playful tricks, she loved playing tricks like these and Alex had suffered one of them once.

ʼʼDonʼt worry Iʼll be careful. I wonder what kind of trick the empress will play this time.ʼʼ Alex mumbled before leaving the manor.

A beautifully decorated magic carriage was waiting for him outside with guards.

ʼʼLetʼs go.ʼʼ He said as he boarded the carriage and the driver drove it toward the majestic palace in the distance.

After it had changed its status from a kingdom to an empire, the capital Foxx had grown, and it became several larger than it was in the past. From the window, Alex enjoyed the beautiful scenery the new capital had to offer.

He wondered how much effort it took for the current generation to bring a kingdom to the level of an Empire. One should know that there is a huge difference between a kingdom and an empire. For Kuinaʼs mother to succeed in finally making the other empires acknowledge the kingdomʼs strength which leads to becoming an empire, she must have worked hard, really hard.

It was undeniable that her predecessors must have laid the groundwork for her but still, she was exceptional, if not she couldnʼt have accomplished this.

While Alex was lost in thoughts thinking about how awesome Kuinaʼs mother was, the magic carriage finally arrived at its destination.

ʼʼSir Alexander, please come out, we have arrived.ʼʼ One of the knights dressed in dark golden armor stepped out of the second carriage and opened the door while politely asking Alex to step out.

ʼʼAh ok.ʼʼ Alex was brought out of his stupor, he nodded before stepping out of the carriage as he was escorted to giant golden doors. They automatically opened and the guards instructed Alex to continue alone, it was the instruction they had received, to only bring Alex to the door and let him walk in, from then onward he would be alone.

It was some kind of private meeting, except for the empress and Alex nobody else was authorized to enter the palace.

Alex smiled and entered the palace, he knew that starting from now on the real show would begin and if the empress think that things would exactly go her way then she had been greatly mistaken.

〖Teach him a lesson.〗Silveriaʼs voice rang out inside Alexʼs mind making him smile, he had finally remembered what he had forgotten when he was resting.

ʼʼDonʼt worry I will but-”

〖But what?〗Silveria asked a little bit irritated. She was still upset at him for making a date promise with Gracier when he had forgotten about the promise he made to her.

However, after hearing Alexʼs following words, all accumulated resentments vanished like a puff of smoke.

ʼʼIʼm sorry I owe you a double date and three monthsʼ worth of ice cream. Deal?” Alex knew how to make the silver goddess forgive him.

〖Hmph! It is a deal. You better not forget or else it would become two years worth of ice cream.〗

Alexʼs mouth twitched he almost shouted, ʼWhy not go rob a bank instead?ʼ

Two monthsʼ worth of ice cream would cost him greatly as Silveria didnʼt like the cheap Ice cream, she liked the special ones which cost between 20-50 silver coins the unit. Just imagine how much he would spend on two years worth of Ice cream. It would be an astronomical amount of money.

ʼʼDonʼt worry I wonʼt forget.ʼʼ He said to reassure her.

He continued to walk until he arrived before the throne hall, the door automatically opened like the palace door, inviting Alex in. He smiled before gently caressing his right eye as if to say Iʼm counting on you.

Finally, Alex took a step into the throne hall and saw the empress sitting on her throne at the other end of the hall.

ʼʼWelcome Alex, it has been years since our last meeting.ʼʼ The empress declared, inviting Alex to come closer, which he did.

First step, nothing.

Second step, nothing.

Third step, still nothing.

Alex didnʼt lose his patience, he calmly lifted his leg and took the fourth step but there was still nothing, how just as he was about to lift his leg to take another step, the whole throne hall twisted like a kaleidoscope.

Alex was brought inside a forest, he was surrounded by giant trees and monsterʼs howls could be heard in the distance.

Just as he was about to summon Silveria to play, the scenery changed again but this time he appeared in the middle of a wasteland and the sun was scorching hot, he could feel it on his skin.

ʼWhat level of mastery does one needs to reach to be able to create this kind of illusion? Normally Iʼm almost immune to illusion but there are still people exceptional like this woman capable of putting me inside an illusion. While I could easily break free from this if I were to try. I wonʼt do it. I will observe her illusion, I will study it for my own use.

After all my Death eye is not only immune to most illusions, it can also create them. So, it will a shame not to make use of such a rare occasion as Kuina isnʼt at this level yet.ʼ Alex thought as he lifted his head to look in the distance.

Meanwhile, in the demonʼs continent, a meeting was taking place. The newly introduced Empress was meeting the newly established council.
