Death… And Me

Chapter 3727: Teleport!

Skittles immediately took distance, his laws, energy, and elements accumulating while he changed back to his real form. ”I wanted to kill you earlier, but now I have a lot of questions instead. Try to not die!”

However, Kentucky changed his arm back to its humanoid form and raised his hands. It was like he was surrendering! ”Wait, wait, wait! Are you crazy? What do you think you are doing?!”

Skittles was taken aback, narrowing his eyes. ”What? Trying to surrender now?”

”Not that, idiot!” Kentucky pointed around. ”We are in the middle of the city, and most of the high-level Demon Beasts went to the battlefront! Who will protect the others if you start a rampage here? Unless...”

Kentucky’s expression changed. ”Unless you are actually on the Humanoid Races’ Side and your plan was to wipe out this city to start with!!!”

Skittles vomited blood! ”Your ass! How dare you question my pride as a Demon Beast?!”

”Then why are you not thinking about the others, uh?” Kentucky now had an aura of justice... which wasn’t of much use after his coward statement...

Nonetheless, the other Demon Beasts Formations Masters looked at Skittles, and so did the Demon Beasts who were around with their Divine Senses. They all slowly or fastly got away from the guild. There is no way they could survive if a battle including a Divinity Realm Expert took place there.

Skittles’s mouth twitched. Indeed! If he truly started to fight right here in the middle of the city, how many would die in the aftermath? He definitely didn’t forget how Kentucky easily defended against his wing and was actually stronger. Fortunately, he had a few subordinates who could create a temporary energy barrier, but he would need at least a few seconds.

Unwillingly, Skittles retracted his energy and element, letting go of the water laws as well. ”You piece of shit... However, I will not let you use the Teleport Formation!” He just needed to buy those few seconds, that’s all.

*Bzzz...*

Too bad, though. At that moment, the teleport formation activated. ”What the fuck?!”

[It’s just a normal teleport formation. Of course, I can easily hack into it. Hahahaha!]

The moment Kentucky stepped on the formation, Rean already told Sister Orb to work. The Formation wasn’t even a long-distance one. It couldn’t send Kentucky out of the Continent. It was a simple, silver medium-level formation. Kentucky’s arguments gave her more than enough time to take control.

Skittles looked at the Demon Beasts Formations Masters on the other side, the ones operating the formation. ”What are you doing?”

They all felt like crying. ”It’s not us! The formation activated on its own!”

”Goodbye!” Kentucky waved at Skittles.

*Zush!*

With a flash of silver light, Kentucky disappeared.

Skittles almost exploded in rage right there and then. Of course, controlled himself and asked the Formations Masters. ”Quick, which City did he teleport to?”

”Colotia, sir!” The Formations Masters answered straight away.

Following that, he took out his CD and sent a warning to Colotia. It was a much bigger city, so it definitely had a Divinity Realm stationed there too. It’s not that there were so many Divinity Realm Demon Beasts that every big city had one. It’s just that since this continent was one of those bordering the humanoid races, they obviously had more protection.

It only took a few seconds for Januario, the Divinity Realm Expert in Colotia, to receive the message. He mobilized his subordinates, and they arrived at the Teleports Building in a flash. His Divine Sense and Natural Spatial Perception were both focused there already.

Sure enough, he saw the Teleport Formation activating, and he was ready to attack Kentucky. His subordinates had already begun creating a protective barrier around the building to shield the Demon Beasts outside from harm. Unfortunately, this effort ultimately proved meaningless.

”Uh?” Januario rubbed his eyes, even though he was using his Divine Sense to check. Just now, the Teleport Formation definitely activated, and that was definitely the Formation connected to the city of Puuston. Yet... ”No one came out?”

It was an empty teleport. You would only see a teleport activating and receiving no one or no items during maintenance and such. He quickly took his CD, cursing Skittles. ”Are you making fun of me?! There wasn’t a single soul coming out of the teleport formation at all!”

-What?!- Skittles was just as shocked. He spread his Divine Sense again and focused on his Natural Spatial Perception. Perhaps Kentucky pretended to teleport and hid somehow?

---

Meanwhile, just a few tens of thousands of kilometers from the city of Colotia, space warped, and Kentucky appeared outside. Other than a few Demon Beasts appearing inside his Divine Sense, there wasn’t anything else there. Then, he looked at a device in his hand. ”I have to say, this device of yours is surely handy!”

*Zush!*

Rean appeared out of the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, laughing. ”Hahaha! Right? Nothing better than being able to cancel the teleport just a little bit before it reaches its destination. Well, the device does nothing more than manipulate our Celestial Soul System power to do that, though.”

This was the second time Rean used it, the first being back when he pretended to be an injured female Camazotz Bat to be teleported to the center of the Divine Realm. Several times, the system intervened in the twins’ teleports for whatever reason, and Rean made sure to learn how to control it.

Rean looked at his CD, quickly finding where they were. ”Colotia is in that direction, but we are obviously not going there. Let’s see if the distortion of space is still too strong.”

”I’ll do it. I’m better at Spatial powers, after all,” Kentucky took the initiative. With a cutting motion, Space was tore apart, and a tunnel appeared. However, it was very unstable, seemingly about to collapse at any moment. ”The distortion is still pretty high, but I can barely keep it open. Let’s go.”

The two quickly entered the Spatial Tunnel, disappearing inside.

As they did that, news about Kentucky’s shenanigans spread within the Demon Beasts Races, and his aura and appearance were shared everywhere. Too bad they weren’t of much use since Kentucky simply changed them again with Rean’s technique.

---

The Obsidian Dreadoxes’ Race reproduction rate was quite high, but that was only when you consider Divine Demon Beasts, or insects, in this case. Fortunately, they were a very old race, and the many years gave them enough time to grow quite numerous. They lived in mountain ranges that were rich in Divine Energy and especially various types of Divine Minerals. As Reliance commented, they are massive insectoid beasts with crystalline exoskeletons and mineral wings, so it made sense.

Kentucky would definitely understand them, as they also eat Divine Minerals and Metals to increase their powers and defenses.

Still, at the moment, one of the mountain ranges where you could find this race was almost empty. It wasn’t that they died, but that the Demon Beasts were all mobilized to defend their territory. Naturally, the Obsidian Dreadoxes were no exception as Divine Demon Insects.

It was near this Mountain Range that a Spatial Gate suddenly appeared, with a certain black and white bird and a certain... weird and small demon beast coming out. They were obviously Kentucky and Rean. Rean just so happened to pretend to be a Demon Beast again. ”Well then, let’s hope the feather truly brings us to Frife-Ni.”
