Death… And Me

Chapter 3591: No One Will Notice!

Shonror was just as shocked as everyone else. Just when he tried to control his Element inside the sphere, the Divine Energy in there mixed with it. Only a tiny bit of the Divine Energy from inside the Sphere came from himself. The rest came all from the other experts, and they mixed together, becoming a mess.

Let’s not forget. When experts absorb clean energy for cultivation, they make that Divine Energy compatible with themselves. It was the one reason why Celis, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky couldn’t cultivate with someone else’s energies, even though Celis could absorb them for his own use in other ways.

At the moment, the Divine Energy inside the sphere came from such different experts. It wasn’t the clean Divine Energy from Heaven and Earth. That’s why it was such a mess.

Thus, Shonror tried to shoot with the Sphere, but he simply couldn’t get it under his control. Perhaps worse than that was the fact Rean, who was supposed to be much worse than him, did an amazing job earlier. ”Fuck! I refuse to believe I can’t do this!”

Once again, he tried to use his Element to shoot at the snake that was quickly approaching. Had it not been for Rean earlier, it would have swallowed them already. In any case, the shot was taken, and another Ray of Yellow Light appeared...

It had improved, no doubt. It was slightly better as Shonror now knew what to expect, so he could deal with it. Too bad, though. If the previous attack was something akin to a mosquito bite, this one was probably still a mosquito, but a slightly larger one. Still nothing that could bother the monster.

”Guys...” Kentucky warned them. ”The monster is almost here...”

”Let me do it!” Meconth and Sesahi shouted at the same time.

Shonror definitely didn’t want to give up at that point. If he let things as they were, just how humilliating it would be? But then again, seeing the monster quickly approaching, he could only relent, leaving the control to whoever took it first.

Sesahi, the Eight-Tailed Fox, won this time, and her Elemental Affinity turned out to be the same as Rean’s, light. Her race, as no surprise to anyone, was good at illusions, and Light Element was perfect for such things. As for her laws, they were the Major Laws of Mirage, which was kind of a branch of the Light Laws. Too bad her laws meant nothing in this situation since the sphere couldn’t take them.

*Ziu!*

*Tuc...*

Everyone watching felt like crying. She was even worse than Shoror! ”Fuck! Your Divine Energies are getting in the way!” Sesahi cursed, blaming everyone except herself.

”This is not time to complaint, damn it!” Meconth retorted. ”Everyone, fucking stay out of it. I’m not going to get involved either.”

He turned to Rean in the next moment. ”Your name is Rean, right? Take control of it again! We don’t have time for everyone to try their hands at it one by one!”

Rean sighed in response. Truth be told, he didn’t want to control the thing. Why? Because one had to use Divine Energy to accumulate elements, obviously. That’s why he didn’t complain at all when the others told him to let go of the sphere’s control. Now, he had no choice but to go back to control it... but he didn’t. ”Celis, you’re on!”

”What?!” Meconth and the others were taken aback. The monster was right above them, so why would he do such a thing?

Unfortunately, it was too late. Celis had already agreed and immediately took control of the sphere’s shooting ability before anyone complained. Well, they wouldn’t have a need to complain later, either.

*Rumble!!!*

For a moment, it was like the world of fire and molten metals had frozen. Earth Element mixed with all the Divine Energy inside the Sphere, and the sphere shone brighter than a sun!

*ZIU!!!*

*BOOOOOOOMMMM!!!*

Rean managed to injure the snake monster.

As for Celis?

He completely obliterated the thing!

A rain of yellow blood, bones, scales, and organ pieces fell from the skies, hitting the Sphere’s invisible barrier and falling to the sides. Yet, no one paid attention to them. Instead, all their eyes focused on Celis. Wasn’t that a little too overpowered?

Celis let go of the sphere’s control, snorting mentally. ’Hmph! So what if the Divine Energies inside the Sphere were a mix of every expert’s reserves? So what if they aren’t compatible with each other? It is still energy, and there is no energy that I, your ancestor, can’t control!’

Rean, Roan, and Kentucky faintly smiled. ’That’s the World Swallowing Cedar for you. He’s basically a god of energy.’

Of course, none of them said that out loud. Celis just looked at everyone with an innocent expression, speaking. ”I seem to be a little bit well suited to this shooting ability of the sphere. Should I keep using it from now on?”

A little bit? They looked at what was once the gigantic snake monster, which was no more. If that’s just a little bit, then what about themselves?

”Of course,” Celis continued. ”Only seniors Shonror and Sesahi have tried it out so far. Senior Meconth and the others haven’t given it a try yet. Perhaps they can do better, so you should give it a go, too.”

”Ahem...” Meconth looked away. ”There is no need. As a reasonable senior, it is only right that I give the younger generation a proper moment to shine. Good work, young friend.”

BULLSHIT! That’s what everyone wanted to shout. But then again, would they embarrass themselves by trying? No fucking way! One Shonror and one Sesahi were more than enough.

Sesahi and Shonror had terrible expressions. Too bad that saying anything else now would only add to their humilliation, so they closed their mouths and didn’t say a single thing.

”Is that so? Then I would like to ask a favor from you, seniors,” Celis didn’t lose that chance. ”Controlling this sphere requires me to accumulate Earth Element to send through the platform, and to gather Earth Element, I need to use more of my Divine Energy. Is that okay if I reduce my contribution a little bit to make up for it? Of course, I will deal with any monsters that appear from now on.”

Some eyes narrowed. It’s just that Celis not only would have to control the shooting ability of the sphere, but he also had much lower cultivation than anyone else in the other groups. They couldn’t refuse since it could lead to Celis running out of energy earlier than the rest. If they complained about it, they truly would be shooting themselves in the feet since the sphere required everyone to keep working. ”S-Sure...”

”Hum?” Kentucky found it weird. ”But if you reduce the amount of Divine Energy you send into your platform, that will also reduce the protection the platform shield gives you against heat and yang energy. Won’t that be worse?”

”Oh,” Celis corrected himself, ”I’m only talking about those moments when we need to use more Divine Energy to increase the sphere’s speed. I will still fuel it the bare minimum to keep my shield running without any side effects.”

”In that case, no problem,” Meconth said, sighing. ”It is actually better since you will be able to focus on the monsters. That should keep us safer.”

”Thank you.” Celis couldn’t be happier.

There was one thing, though...

Celis...

Had never lost any Divine Energy until now!

His Natural Divine Energy Absorption Ability was far higher than the Divine Energy the platform required to work properly! Not only that, but he also helped the twins and Kentucky through their connection with that. Every single one of them was still brimming with Divine Energy, their reserves completely filled.

They wouldn’t tell anyone about that, of course. With this little move, Celis prepared the terrain for the various experts around to use more of their Divine Energy while his group will keep in tip top condition. Above all, no one would notice a thing!
