Death… And Me

Chapter 3366  Another Shot

”Killing others?” Kalamdra was taken aback for a moment, laughing right after. ”Seems like you know some technique Iʼm unaware of.”

Herbert quickly returned to the twinsʼ side, followed by his clan members. After what happened to Zantie and Xesht, the rest of their group members immediately fled as well, which saved Herbert Clan experts.

Even now, Herbert couldnʼt believe Rean and Roan managed to kill Zantie and injury Xesht so badly that he had to run away. Just the fact they survived the clash between Peak Space-Time Realm expertsʼ attacks was all ready to accept. Too bad he didnʼt have time to show his interest, so he simply pretended everything went according to plan. ”Kalamdra, are you also intending to hold me here? Samalia canʼt leave that amphoraʼs side, so there is only you to try to prevent me from leaving with my companions.”

Kalamdra didnʼt seem to be worried. ”Could it be you think I canʼt hold you here if Iʼm alone? I wasnʼt blind, you know? I saw how much energy you had to spend during your fight earlier, not to mention your injuries. Even if it is only me, Iʼm pretty sure I can pin you down easily.

Herbert snorted. ”Then go ahead and give it a try.”

”Not interested,” Kalamdra quickly gave up. ”Iʼm confident, but I also hate taking unnecessary risks. I donʼt know what else you have hidden in your pockets, so I rather just let you go. There is a condition, though.”

Kalamdra then looked at the twins. ”Instead, Iʼm a lot more interested in these two guys. Just what kind of technique they acquired in the Mist Library that made them so strong? Herbert, if you leave those two here, I will not pursue you.”

Rean and Roan didnʼt expect to be used in such a negotiation. Nonetheless, it wasnʼt up to them to decide what to do, but Herbert instead. They barely know each other, and if Herbert lets them be, he can leave this place and focus on his reward. That would be the most sensible choice.

*Vuf!*

Herbert swang his spear, stretching a little and putting himself between the twins and Kalamdra. ”Then my answer is fuck you!” Together with Herbert, his clan members also gathered around, ready to fight Kalamdra and his companions.

”Tch...” Roan clicked his tongue, annoyed. In his mind, it would have been much easier if Herbert had just given them away and left on his own. Now, his pride simply didnʼt allow him to step back, either. He got by Herbertʼs side, speaking coldly. ”This is not the kind of choice you should make in the cultivation world. Here, you have to be selfish. Otherwise, you will definitely pay in the future.”

Herbert laughed a little. ”Letʼs just say that Iʼm thinking about the future... your future, to be more specific. Maybe I will have more to gain by believing you two.”

Rean also got there, touching Herbertʼs back and sending a blast of Light Element inside his body. Thanks to the fact no one could use Divine Sense in there, no one noticed Rean healing Herbertʼs internal injuries like they were nothing. ”Then we have to make sure your bet was the right choice, donʼt we?”

Rean then glanced at Kentucky, contacting him through their connection. ʼNo need to hold back anymore.ʼ

Kentucky, pretending to be afraid of the situation, laughed internally. ʼHahaha! Thatʼs more like it! Are you going to use everything else?ʼ

ʼYes,ʼ Rean and Roan confirmed.

ʼGood!ʼ Kentucky prepared himself, glancing at Rifindio, who understood that things would get more chaotic.

Kalamdra Sighed after seeing that. ”So thatʼs your choice, uh?”

*Zush!*

He waved his hand, and another expert appeared in the room. It was a demon beast, one at the Initial Stage of the Space-Time Realm. ”Hiki, you saw everything. Make sure to keep those two youngsters away from me while I get rid of Herbert.”

Hiki, a Spiked Blood Wolf, nodded. ”I was already getting bored of waiting inside your Pocket Dimensional Realm.”

Immediately, Kalamdra and Hikiʼs Domains spread. Kalamdraʼs one was an Ice Domain, while Hiki used a blood type one.

”Attack!”

Herbert also spread his Water Domain, which was very similar to Kalamdra. In the next second, their Time, Spatial, Divine Energy, Elements, and Laws clashed, forcing everyone back. Hiki obviously ignored that and went straight for the twins. His Blood Domain had the power to slow down oneʼs circulating, making oneʼs life very hard during a fight.

However, Rean and Roan werenʼt to be underestimated. The Life and Death World Domains appeared once again. Reanʼs Domain made sure any detrimental effects from enemy domains were nullified, while Roanʼs one corroded the domains of the enemies.

Unfortunately, the cultivation difference was too big, so the twinsʼ domainsʼ effects werenʼt as effective. Only around 30% of their power could be displayed against Hikiʼs domain.

Hiki flashed in front of the twins, using his Spatial and Time Powers to hold and slow them down. He was making full use of his bloodline to increase his strength even more.

Yet, Rean and Roanʼs bloodline also activated. The pressure of a Celestial Bloodline immediately spread, and it impacted Hikiʼs own Blood Spiked Wolf Bloodline.

Hiki knew there were humans with bloodlines like demon beasts, especially hybrids, but it was the first time he had met someone of the humanoid race with a more powerful bloodline than his own. Hikiʼs eyes narrowed, but he didnʼt stop. Several blood claws appeared, trying to tear Rean and Roan apart. He simply used his own much higher cultivation to counter the twinsʼ bloodline effect. *Bang!*

Yet, just as he was about to hit the twins, his blood claws missed, hitting the ground instead. Hikiʼs eyes quickly turned in another direction, and countless Blade Feathers materialized. They all shot in his direction, each as sharp and strong as divine steel. Behind those feathers, Kentucky flew at incredible speeds, using the fact the room was enormous to maneuver. It was he who caught Rean and Roan before they were hit by Hikiʼs attack.

*Roar!*

Hikiʼs bloodline power spread and the blood spikes on his body detached. They werenʼt any weaker than Kentuckyʼs blade feather. No, in fact, they were even stronger due to the Spatial and Time Powers they carried.

*Clang, clang, clang...*

Blade Feathers and Blood Spikes collided, with two feathers being necessary to hold down a single spike. Fortunately, those feathers were created by Kentuckyʼs Blade Feather Domain, so he could summon as many as he wanted as long as he had enough Sky Energy.

ʼEven that bird is that strong with such low cultivation... Just what did they find inside the Mist Library Earlier...?ʼ Hiki couldnʼt help but think, but he didnʼt stop and quickly went after the twins and Kentucky.
