Death… And Me

Chapter 1546 Pay Attention To

Rean then explained the things he thought he should talk about with Havek, which was their own system and why they had a problem with the quest they got.

Naturally, Havek was surprised to hear such a thing. ”A system? A Dimensional Realm? Something that can gain Destiny Points to give you advantages?” However, Havekʼs behavior changed soon after. ”Wait, does that mean youʼre not the one who invented the Circuitry Formations?”

Rean shook his head in response, telling him, ”No. It was me who first created the Circuitry Formations. In any case, the very basic form of it with my first communication formations. However, as I mentioned before, the system can complement your own skills after you learn them. After I created it, the system opened a new section and helped me improve upon it.”

Havek finally relaxed after that. ”Then thatʼs fine. I respected you because I believed you had the ability to stand up to me. If you told me that it had never been you who came up with it, then our relationship would be over right now.” In the end, what Havek cared most about was his personal competition with Rean.

Rean shrugged his shoulders after that. ”Donʼt you have anything else to say about the rest? Also, you believed it quite easily, no?”

Havek didnʼt mind that Rean thought that way, saying, ”Well, your improvement in cultivation had always been kind of weird. Of course, Iʼve seen how your brother put you through hell as well. I know that your improvement isnʼt just due to the system but also due to the crazy training youʼve undergone.”

Hearing that, Roanʼs opinion of Havek increased a little bit. Itʼs just that he wouldnʼt mention it.

Havek continued, ”Of course, itʼs hard to believe what you told me. But then again, that also explains why you two know that Sunkan was destroyed and how you escaped from it. Thereʼs one thing, though. You could say that the reason for the planet to be destroyed was also this system of yours, no?”

Rean didnʼt hide it from Havek, nodding as he replied, ”Indeed. Whoever attacked the planet was after our system. However, I donʼt think weʼre the culprits. Do you think that way?”

”Nope.” Havek immediately denied the idea. ”You got that thing and reincarnated on our home planet by chance. If anyoneʼs at fault, itʼs the guys who attacked. Well, I told you that Iʼm very happy with the outcome anyway, so I might even thank those people. This is the Realm of Gods! This is the kind of place where someone as great as me can shine! Hahaha!”

Rean was happy that Havek thought like that. He was sure that even though he didnʼt care much about his family, there were bound to be some things he liked back there. ”Thank you for understanding. Of course, I must also ask you to not spread this information. Even if I doubt someone would believe it anyway.”

Havek agreed with Rean, saying, ”If it wasnʼt you, I wouldnʼt believe a single word of yours either.” Havek then went back to the main topic after that. ”This system of yours has obviously caught my interest, but we can discuss it in great detail later. Letʼs go back to the main problem. This system can kind of analyze the changes in destiny that you and your brother cause to the world around you. This is also the system that gave you the mission related to no one being allowed to leave this place. Above all, the fact that it can revive your lost Nascent Souls but will delay it several decades if you fail.”

Havek felt like so many things happened at once after he said that. ”You said that this system had never given an ʼevilʼ mission. But you canʼt guarantee that itʼs not doing it this time. In the end, this system of yours only gave you a few details. However, you missed one point here. The explanation of your systemʼs mission said that the ʼold people of Upside Down World were about to escape this place, and you should stop it.ʼ Can you see the problem here?”

Hearing that, both Rean and Roan felt like idiots this time. Even Roan was so focused on the objective that he missed this point. ”Holy shit! Thatʼs right! Havek is the one creating passage out of Upside Down World. However, Havek isnʼt old at all. If anything, heʼs one of the newest beings in this world. Naturally, he doesnʼt fit the missionʼs description.”

Following that, the twins took another look at the systemʼs quest content just to make sure.

[Even the oldest humans and demon beasts of the Upside Down World have been in this place for as long as they could remember. Obviously, theyʼre beings that were born and lived here all their lives. After so long, these beings have finally come up with a way of escaping Upside Down World.]

Sure enough, it mentioned the old people of this world, not new ones like Havek. That meant Havekʼs method of escaping had nothing to do with the systemʼs mission.

Reanʼs eyes lit up after realizing that, clearly very happy. ”Since thatʼs the case, let me help you with it, Havek.” Naturally, Rean wanted to help the beings here leave this place. He had never liked that mission to start with.

However, Roan narrowed his eyes in response, saying, ”The problem is, the objective of the mission only said that we shouldnʼt let the people of this world escape. The objective itself doesnʼt mention the old people and demon beasts. Rean, thereʼs still a chance that helping Havek would trigger the missionʼs failure.”

Rean obviously didnʼt like to hear that. ”You just have to let me down every single time, donʼt you?”

Roanʼs mouth twitched in response. ”Do you really think I have something to do it? Iʼm just telling you the truth.”

”Hahaha!” However, Havek laughed out loud in response. ”You two never change.” Soon after, Havek mentioned another point. ”I canʼt guarantee this will nail the issue, but thereʼs one more thing you should pay attention to.”
