Dawn Experiment

#Day 27 — 18:35

Zhao half-carried, half-dragged Vivienne through the door of the treatment suite. Her body was hot against his, her breath ragged, her hands already pulling at his shirt, reaching for his belt, searching for skin. He pinned her arms to her sides and called out, his voice sharper than he intended.

”Aida. I need Aida.”

Mei-Lin appeared first from the kitchenette, her eyes wide, a wooden spoon still in her hand. She took one look at Vivienne—her blouse torn open, her pupils blown wide, her lips parted and wet—and dropped the spoon. It clattered against the floor, but she was already moving, her hands reaching for Vivienne’s face, her voice low and steady.

”Vivienne. Look at me. Vivienne.”

Vivienne lunged. Her mouth found Mei-Lin’s neck, her teeth scraping, her tongue pressing against the skin. Mei-Lin gasped but did not pull away. She held Vivienne’s head, her fingers threading through her hair, her body absorbing the assault.

Zhao tried to pry her off, but Vivienne was stronger than he had ever felt her, her muscles locked, her grip unbreakable. She bit Mei-Lin’s shoulder, hard, and Mei-Lin cried out—not in pain, not quite, but in surprise.

Aida appeared in the doorway, her face pale. She crossed to Vivienne, took her face in both hands, and forced her to meet her eyes. ”Vivienne. You are safe. We have you.”

Vivienne’s eyes were wild, unfocused, her breath coming in short, sharp gasps. She looked at Aida, and for a moment, something flickered behind the glaze—recognition, maybe, or relief. Then her hands were on Aida’s breasts, squeezing, her mouth searching for hers, and Aida let her come, let her kiss her, let her take what she needed while she stroked her hair and murmured words Zhao could not hear.

Mei-Lin slipped away, toward the kitchenette, toward the herbs she had been drying, the mixtures she had been testing. Zhao heard her opening jars, measuring, pouring water into a kettle. The smell of ginger and something else—something earthy, medicinal—began to fill the room.

Aida looked at Zhao. ”Go find Iqbal. Tell her what happened. She’ll want to check Vivienne.”

He hesitated. Vivienne’s hand found his wrist, squeezed, held. He looked down at her, and for a moment, her eyes cleared—just a fraction, just enough.

”Go,” she whispered. Her voice was raw, broken. ”I’ll be here.”

He kissed her forehead, quick and hard, and then he was moving toward the door.

Day 27 — 18:50

Iqbal arrived within minutes, Saanvi close behind. They moved through the treatment suite with the quiet efficiency of people who had done this a hundred times—checking Vivienne’s pulse, her pupils, her skin. Iqbal frowned.

”The aphrodisiac affects people differently. Some are more resistant. Some are more vulnerable. She seems to be on the highly susceptible end.” She looked at Aida. ”There’s no medical counter we’ve found. Not yet. The only thing that works is time—and sexual activity. It metabolizes faster that way.”

Mei-Lin emerged from the kitchenette with a cup of steaming liquid. The smell was sharp, herbal—ginger and chamomile and something else, something Zhao could not name. She knelt beside Vivienne, lifted the cup to her lips.

”Drink,” she said. ”It might help. I’ve been working on this for weeks. It’s not fast—herbal medicine never is—but it should take the edge off, help her body process the toxins.”

Vivienne drank. The liquid spilled down her chin, onto her chest, but she swallowed, and her movements slowed, just a fraction.

Aida looked at Zhao. ”Maggie was looking for you. Something about her team. Go. We’ll handle Vivienne.”

He wanted to stay. He wanted to hold her, to wait with her, to be there when she came back to herself. But Maggie would not have called him unless it was urgent.

He touched Vivienne’s face one last time, then left.

#Day 27 — 19:05

Maggie was waiting in the corridor, her arms crossed, her face unreadable. She did not ask about Vivienne. She did not need to.

”I need a favor,” she said. ”You’re not going to like it.”

He waited.

”I’m building a military force, Zhao. Not security. Not crowd control. A real fighting force. The women on this ship are going to war, whether they want to or not. And the women I have to work with—” She gestured down the corridor. ”They were hired for their looks, not their combat skills. Models. Hostesses. Now I need them to stand a line against Carmona’s psychopaths.”

He said nothing.

”The council wants to treat them with the soft method. Full consent, warm baths, hours of foreplay. That’s fine when you have time. We don’t have time. We have five women tonight, including myself. They need to be treated, and they need to get back to work. No downtime. No recovery. Just efficiency.”

Zhao’s stomach turned. He thought of the submarine—the bodies pressed together in the dark, the desperate scramble, the women who had cried out and been ignored. But he had seen B-Deck. He had seen the women lost to Alexis, the security team stretched too thin. Maggie was not wrong. She was trying to keep her people alive.

”There’s a technique,” he said slowly. ”Micro-climax. Small amounts of sperm are enough to drop the meters. Full loads are wasteful. I learned it from Aida’s old content, before the pandemic. I’ve only done it once, alone. But I can try.”

Maggie’s eyes narrowed. She studied him for a moment, then nodded. ”Five women in one hour. Can you do it?”

”Maybe.”

”Good enough. Follow me.”

#Day 27 — 19:11

The locker room was bright, sterile, the air thick with the scent of soap. Rows of lockers lined the walls. Benches ran down the center. Ten women were in various states of undress. When Zhao entered, a ripple went through them. Some covered themselves. Two bolted for the showers. The rest stood frozen.

Four women remained. They stood in a row, naked, their hands at their sides, their eyes forward. Maggie walked past them, undressed, and stood at attention beside them.

Zhao looked at the women. Their bodies were maps of the past weeks—bruises on ribs and thighs, scratches on arms and backs. They came from everywhere—Africa, Europe, South America, Asia. Their skin was bare below, uniformly shaved—a medical precaution Iqbal had implemented after the third week at sea. With limited antibiotics and the constant threat of infection, the weekly examinations for lesions or early signs of sexually transmitted complications had become mandatory protocol for anyone receiving treatment.

Maggie walked past them, her boots echoing on the tile. She stopped at the end of the row, turned, and began to undress. Her tactical vest came off first, then her shirt, then her pants. She folded each piece with the same precision she brought to everything, placing them on the bench beside her. When she was naked, she stood at attention, her arms crossed behind her back, her eyes scanning her team.

Maggie walked the line, her eyes moving over each woman’s body. ”You know the drill. This is not intimacy. This is survival. Part of your job. Arousal is a tool. Use it.”

She looked at her team. ”The only shower left is the one in the back. We’ll all have to use it. Ten minutes to clean up. Then we start.”

They filed into the shower, Maggie followed. It was cramped, the spray barely reaching everyone, but they washed themselves quickly, efficiently. No one touched anyone else. This was not intimacy. This was preparation.

When they emerged, Maggie lined them up again. ”Pairs. Prepare each other. Rectal intercourse is the most efficient route for suppressant uptake. No external lubrication. Use what your bodies provide.”

The women moved. They paired quickly, their hands finding each other’s bodies. Some used their mouths, their tongues tracing patterns on thighs and breasts. Others used their hands, their fingers sliding into wetness, gathering, spreading. They had prepared for this—Zhao noticed the cleanliness, the absence of any waste. They had done enemas before coming. They had known what to expect.

Maggie lined up with her team, her body still wet, her skin flushed. She arched her back, presenting herself to him, and reached between her legs. Her fingers found her clitoris, circled, pressed. Her hand moved faster, then faster still, until her juice began to drip down her thighs.

She looked at him over her shoulder. ”Prepare me.”

He moved behind her, used her juice to wet his fingers, and pressed them against her ass. The muscle yielded slowly, relaxing under his touch, opening for him. She was slick, ready, and when he withdrew his fingers, she nodded.

Maggie walked the line, inspecting. Helene, the brunette with olive skin and green eyes, was struggling. Her fingers were dry, her partner’s attempts to help her ineffective. Maggie stepped in.

”Use her juice,” she said, guiding Helene’s partner’s hand. ”Not your mouth. More efficient.”

The partner gathered Helene’s wetness and spread it over her own fingers, then pressed them into Helene’s ass. Helene tensed, then relaxed. Maggie nodded and moved on.

She stopped at Choi, a small woman with dark hair and a birth mark on her ribs. Choi’s partner had prepared her well, but Maggie checked anyway, her fingers pressing, testing. Satisfied, she stepped back.

Then she turned to Zhao. ”Undress. Fold your clothes. Then we begin.”

He did. His hands were clumsy, but he folded his clothes the way she had shown him, placing them on the bench beside hers.

Maggie addressed her team. ”Whoever is ready first will go first. The vector will enter from behind. Partners will clean his cock between each turn. Understood?”

Nods.

Maggie looked at Zhao. ”Helene first. Her partner will prepare you.”

Helene stepped forward, bent over the bench. Her partner knelt in front of Zhao, took his cock in her mouth, and cleaned him with her tongue. Then she gathered Helene’s wetness, spread it over him, and guided him to Helene’s ass.

He pushed slowly. Helene was tight, her body resisting. He felt her tense, felt her fight to stay still. He moved carefully, his hands on her hips, his breath steady. He remembered the micro-climax technique—control the pace, control the release. He felt himself climbing, and he slowed, held back, let only a small amount release into her.

He pulled out. Helene’s partner immediately took him in her mouth again, cleaning him, preparing him for the next.

Maggie’s voice was sharp. ”Next.”

Cecilia stepped forward. She was Brazilian, her skin tanned, her body curvier. She bent over, and her partner guided Zhao into her. She moved against him, her hips rolling, her body welcoming. He moved faster, felt himself climbing again, controlled it, released a small amount.

Next was Choi. Her partner had prepared her well, and Maggie had checked her. When Zhao entered, Choi winced, her body tight, but she did not pull away. Her partner cleaned him between thrusts, her mouth efficient, clinical. Choi came unexpectedly—a sharp cry, her body clenching—and Zhao almost lost control. He held back, let only a trickle release.

Melissa was last of the four. She was tight—unbelievably tight—but ready. Her partner had prepared her thoroughly. Zhao entered her, and she moved against him with a grace that surprised him. He felt himself climbing again, faster this time, and before he could stop it, he came—a full load, too much, too soon.

He pulled out, guilty, exhausted. He had meant to save something for Maggie.

Maggie did not scold him. She looked at her team. ”Check your meters.”

They raised their wrists. The Dawn Meters glowed green—high twenties, low thirties. Not perfect, but safe. The treatment had worked.

”Thank the vector,” Maggie said.

”Thank you,” they said in unison. Their voices were flat, professional. Then they dressed, their movements quick, efficient. Some of them walked funny, their asses sore, their steps unsteady. Zhao almost laughed, but held it back. They had sacrificed for their ship.

They filed out. The door closed behind them.

Day 27 — 20:00

Maggie reached for her gear. Zhao caught her hand.

”No.”

She looked at him, surprised. He pulled her back toward the shower—the only one still running, the water hot. He drew the curtain. She let him.

They washed themselves, separate, efficient. But when they were clean, he reached for her. His fingers found her ass, still slick from her own preparation, and he pressed inside her. She gasped—a small sound, almost surprised—and then she was kissing him, her mouth hungry, her hands in his hair.

He turned her, lifted her, and entered her from the front. His body resisted, spent from the earlier session. He focused on her face, on her eyes, willing himself to respond. She wrapped her legs around his hips, but he remained frustratingly soft. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he concentrated, determined to give her this moment of connection.

Minutes passed. His arms trembled from holding her weight. Just when he thought he might have to stop, he felt himself harden. Her eyes widened in recognition. She tightened her legs around him, helping him slide her up and down. His fingers found her ass again, and she cried out, her body arching as she came around him—not a small, controlled release, but a flood.

With a final, almost painful surge, he managed to come inside her, deep, and held her there.

She kissed him, soft this time, and when she pulled back, her eyes were wet.

”Thank you,” she said.

He wanted to tell her that she did not need to thank him. But the words would not come.

She pulled away, dressed, and left.

#Day 27 — 20:34

Zhao walked into the treatment suite, and the soreness in his crotch reminded him of everything he had done tonight. The ache was dull now, manageable, but present—a reminder of five women in an hour, of micro-climaxes and full loads, of the clinical efficiency Maggie had demanded.

The room was dim, lit only by the soft glow of the lamps Aida preferred. The bath was empty, the kitchenette quiet. And the bed—

The bed was a tangle of naked bodies.

Vivienne lay at the center, her golden hair spread across the pillow, her face peaceful in sleep. Aida was curled on her left side, her head on Vivienne’s shoulder, one hand resting on Vivienne’s breast. Mei-Lin was on her right, her face buried in Vivienne’s neck, her arm wrapped around both of them.

They were all naked. The sheets were twisted, damp. And the marks—Zhao could see them even in the dim light. Bruises on Aida’s thighs. Scratch marks on Mei-Lin’s back. A bite mark on Vivienne’s collarbone, still red, still fresh.

They had been rough. Intense. The kind of sex that came from desperation, from fear, from the need to hold onto something solid when the world was falling apart.

The room smelled of sweat and milk and something else—their unique scent, the one he had learned to recognize in the weeks since the world ended. It was the smell of home.

He sat on the edge of the bed, careful not to wake them, and looked at his family.

He had been worried about Vivienne. When he left, she had been lost, her body given over to something she had not chosen, her eyes empty of everything but hunger. He had been afraid that she would not come back, that the woman he loved would be replaced by something else.

But seeing them like this—tangled together, marked by each other, united—soothed something in his chest. Aida and Vivienne had disagreed about the date with Alexis. Aida had been right to worry. Vivienne had been right to save the fishermen. Two conflicting opinions, both right, both necessary. And they had made it through because of this—because of family, because of the bond that held them together even when they disagreed.

He bent over and kissed Aida gently, not meaning to wake her. But her eyes fluttered open anyway, and she smiled—a sleepy, warm smile that made his chest ache.

She sat up, wrapped her arms around him, and hugged him tight. Like she had missed him. Like he had been gone for days instead of hours.

”How is she?” he asked.

Aida looked at Vivienne, still sleeping, still peaceful. ”She wore herself out with us. She should be fine. As long as she rests. As long as one of us is here to take care of her.” She touched Mei-Lin’s hair. ”Mei-Lin’s tea helped. It made her fall asleep faster. The herbs are slow, but they work.”

Zhao nodded.

Aida’s hand found his face, turned it toward her. ”How did the treatment go? Maggie’s request—I knew what she was going to ask. Military style. Brutal. Efficient.” Her eyes searched his. ”I was worried about you. That it would bring back the submarine. That you would be traumatized again.”

He shook his head. ”I’m okay. Just a little sore.” He shifted on the bed, and the ache in his crotch made him wince. ”But I managed. I used the micro-climax technique. Learned it from one of your videos, years ago. Before the pandemic.”

Aida’s eyes widened. She stared at him for a moment, and then she laughed—a soft, surprised sound. ”I had forgotten about that video. I was hungover. The director kept yelling at me to look more enthusiastic.” She shook her head. ”I can’t believe you remembered.”

”I remembered everything,” he said.

He kissed her—soft, slow, grateful. She kissed him back, her hand on his cheek, her thumb tracing the line of his jaw.

Then she pulled back, suddenly alert. ”What time is it?”

He showed her his watch.

She swore under her breath—something in Japanese he did not quite catch—and reached for her robe. ”I missed Chen’s feeding. Again.” She tied the robe quickly, her fingers moving with practiced efficiency. ”Her meter will be climbing.”

She was gone before he could answer, the door closing softly behind her.

Zhao looked at the two women still on the bed. Vivienne, still asleep, her face peaceful. Mei-Lin, stirring now, her eyes opening just a crack.

He bent and kissed Vivienne’s forehead, then Mei-Lin’s. Mei-Lin smiled, murmured something he could not hear, and settled back into the pillow.

He undressed, folded his clothes, and lay down beside them. The bed was warm, the sheets soft, the smell of his family wrapping around him like a blanket.

He was tired. His body ached. His mind was full of the day—the workshop, the date, the locker room, the women who had walked out with their meters green and their asses sore. But here, in this bed, with these women, he felt something he had not felt in a long time.

Peace.

He closed his eyes, and sleep took him.

Tomorrow, they would fight again. But tonight, he was home.
