Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 1379: Chapter 1394: Courting Huo’s Wrath (68)

One week later, Qin Huan finished the script and handed it to Yu Zimu, who passed it on to the animation department.

Huo Jinnan packed things for the trip, while Qin Huan watched the children nearby.

The old man looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Anan, the children are still young, taking them out—”

Huo Jinnan looked at the old man, ”Children aren’t porcelain dolls that break at a drop. A bit of experience isn’t bad.”

Although still worried, the old man said, ”It’s winter now; it’s really cold outside.”

Huo Jinnan remained silent, but Ye Bai, standing off to the side, chimed in, ”Children aren’t afraid of the cold like adults; they’re quite resilient.”

With Ye Bai’s assurance, the old man, though reluctant, stopped voicing his concerns.

After all, they’re not his children; he doesn’t get the final say! Truthfully, he was just feeling a bit resentful since he hadn’t seen them for days.

He just needed to vent!

Qin Huan looked at the old man, ”Xiaoliao, call grandpa.”

Xiaoliao, ”˜*...%”

The old man’s mood instantly shifted from cloudy to sunny, ”Come here, it’s been too long since great-grandpa has seen you; let great-grandpa hold you tight.”

Xiaoliao, held in the arms of the old man, curiously tugged at the old man’s beard, looking intently.

The old man laughed joyfully.

Looking at the old man, Qin Huan realized only now how much he had aged, becoming almost child-like, easily upset and quickly happy again.

However, when unhappy, it’s often directed at Huo Jinnan, never at her.

She handed Xiaoqi to Zhong Qin.

Zhong Qin embraced Xiaoqi, ”Xiaoqi, be good and listen carefully when you go, don’t give your daddy and mommy a hard time.”

Qin Huan looked at Zhong Qin, relieved to have a wonderful mother-in-law, never experiencing the venting of conflicts she saw on various forums. Even though she adored her children, Zhong Qin never disregarded Qin Huan’s feelings or competed for them, and there were no other issues.

”Grandpa, Mom, I’ll go up and help him pack.”

Zhong Qin looked at Qin Huan, ”Remember to pack things for the children to eat, like bibs, don’t forget them.”

”Got it.”

Qin Huan replied and went upstairs.

Half an hour later, Huo Jinnan carried two large suitcases downstairs while Qin Huan carried two small ones.

After loading the suitcases into the trunk, Huo Jinnan brought out the car seat that was ready for the babies, installing it in the back seat, leaving a spot for Qin Huan.

Qin Huan placed pillows, sheets, and blankets for the little ones in the car.

The old man watched, feeling these kids were always on the go and truly needed some relaxation.

...

Huo Jinnan finished packing, hugged Xiaoliao, and looked at the old man, ”Grandpa, there is something I forgot to tell you.”

The old man looked at Huo Jinnan, noticing his expression, frowned; wasn’t everything settled already? What now!

Huo Jinnan said, ”In those days you were in the hospital, Gu Jizhou looked after you for a few days.”

The old man, hearing this, felt a shock in his heart, recalling the sound of coughing he heard that day; it was indeed Jizhou.

Huo Jinnan looked at the old man, ”Then we’ll leave first.”

The old man watched Huo Jinnan, wondering if this meant he could go see Jizhou, and Anan wouldn’t mind?

The thought of being so afraid of Huo’s second son made him a bit annoyed!

He needed to adjust his mindset! It’s not right!

Why was he afraid of Huo’s second son?

Realizing he was on someone else’s turf, worrying about the little great-grandsons needing Huo Jinnan’s approval, maybe being scared made sense!

...

Huo Jinnan opened the car door, saw Qin Huan getting into the car and settling Xiaoqi, then handed Xiaoliao to her.

After Qin Huan settled Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi, she turned back to Huo Jinnan, ”All set.”

Huo Jinnan lowered his head, kissed her forehead, then looked at Xiaowei, seated in the front passenger seat with the group leader.
