Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 1247: Chapter 1262: Seeing You (7)

Over the weekend, Huo Jinnan moved back to Nanyuan Villa.

The old man stood at the door, watching them get in the car, feeling quite uneasy. He was used to the bustle, and thinking of the quiet days ahead, he couldn’t help but speak out, ”Anan, wait a moment.”

Just as Huo Jinnan reached the driver’s side, before he could pull open the car door, he turned back to look at the old man, ”Grandpa, is there something else?”

The old man, with a grim face and grit teeth, said, ”I want to cut all ties with you!”

Huo Jinnan said, ”I’ll have Qin Shaojin draft an agreement and send it over.”

Without saying a word, the old man lifted his cane and lightly tapped Huo Jinnan’s leg, ”Scram, as far as you can, it’s good that you’re leaving, peace and quiet at last!”

”Yes, Grandpa. It’s time you enjoyed your old age with some peace and quiet.”

Huo Jinnan opened the car door, got into the driver’s seat, and started the car.

The old man stood there, watching from afar, his heart filled with various curses, bastard, heartless thing, ingrate! Just walked away like that!

He swung his cane in the direction of the departing car, and accidentally let it slip from his hand.

Right then, his phone rang.

Seeing it was Huo Jinnan, the old man’s face darkened as he answered, ”Did you forget something?”

Huo Jinnan was sitting in the driver’s seat, one hand on the steering wheel, the other holding the phone, ”Grandpa, I asked Aunt Rong to prepare a room for you. When you’ve had enough peace and quiet, you can come to stay for a few days.”

The old man stood there, his expression comical, clearly meant to be angry but feeling a bit touched. Perhaps that’s what aging does!

But still, Huo the Second had some conscience, not completely heartless!

Huo Jinnan, ”Bad signal?”

The old man replied with a grunt, ”The signal was bad a moment ago, but now I can hear clearly. What did you just say?”

Huo Jinnan, ”I didn’t say anything.”

”...!”

The old man’s face immediately turned dark, and he spoke forcefully, ”Too bad, I heard it all. Let’s talk later, depending on my mood!”

As soon as he finished speaking, without waiting for Huo Jinnan to reply, he hung up the phone.

Uncle Guan stood beside him and quickly handed the cane back to the old man.

The old man took it, and stomped back into the Huo Mansion, heading straight to his room, lay on the bed looking at the doorway. Quiet, truly so peaceful!

Back at Nanyuan Villa, Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi were placed in Qin Huan and Huo Jinnan’s room.

The little one stood in front of the crib, grumbling, poking Xiaoliao, ”Wait till you grow up a bit more and don’t listen to me, I’ll beat you up.”

He glanced at Xiaoqi and pursed his lips slightly, softening a bit.

Huo Jinnan sat on the bed in the bedroom, glanced at the little one, and picked up his phone to call Qin Shaonan, ”Have you found out about that text message from before?”

Qin Shaonan, ”Not yet.”

Huo Jinnan’s gaze deepened but he didn’t say more, he hung up and looked towards Qin Huan.

Qin Huan, ”What’s wrong?”

Huo Jinnan, ”Come here.”

With the little one around, they couldn’t be too affectionate, so Qin Huan just sat next to Huo Jinnan.

Huo Jinnan looked at Qin Huan.

Qin Huan felt a bit puzzled under his gaze.

Huo Jinnan looked for a while, recalling the friendship between Qiao Qiao and Qin Huan, and figured Qiao Qiao wouldn’t deliberately send such a text to grab Qin Shaonan’s attention.

He swallowed the words that came to mind and changed it to another sentence, ”We’ve been together for a year now.”

Qin Huan looked at Huo Jinnan, thinking back, as if they’d never explicitly said anything, just took the plunge into their relationship without even celebrating an anniversary!
