Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 1198: Chapter 1212: Assault (18)

The Captain suddenly darted out from under the bed, agilely pouncing and biting Xiaoying’s arm.

”Ah~”

Xiaoying screamed in fright, releasing her grip on the large garbage bag in pain.

The bag containing Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi fell towards the floor.

But the Captain had already rolled over, lying on its back, its soft belly catching the bag steadily, then carefully wrapping its four legs around it, its paws splayed out in all directions.

Xiaoying, ignoring her bitten arm, looked at the suddenly appearing Captain, worried that Mr. Huo and the others might come over, tried to calm it, ”Captain, it’s okay, don’t be afraid—”

She tried to get closer, wanting to take the two little ones out of the plastic bag first, but the Captain cautiously swayed side to side, maintaining balance, extending a sharp claw, ready to scratch Xiaoying.

As Xiaoying approached, it seized the chance, eyes wide open, tail wagging and whipping towards her face fiercely, hitting Xiaoying directly in the eye.

Xiaoying covered her eye in pain, not daring to make a sound.

”Woof-woof—”, ”Woof-woof—”, ”Woof-woof-woof—”

The Captain couldn’t move, barking fiercely.

Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi, hearing its barking, woke up in fright and started crying competitively.

”Waa-waa-waa~~”

”Waa-waa-waa~~”

Huo Jinnan, Qin Huan, and Jin Bo heard Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi’s crying and the Captain’s barking, quickly making their way over.

Listening to the commotion in the corridor, Xiaoying hurried into the bathroom, shut the door, her heart pounding wildly.

Glancing towards the window, she climbed up, ignoring everything else, and jumped out.

...

As soon as Qin Huan and Jin Bo entered, they saw the Captain with its four paws in the air, a large garbage bag clutched to its belly with four legs.

The crying came from the garbage bag—

Qin Huan, looking at the situation, quickly reacted, bending down to pick up Xiaoqi and handed him to Huo Jinnan, then picked up Xiaoliao, gently patting with one hand, ”There, there, don’t cry, mommy and daddy are here, don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, it’s okay now.”

Jin Bo glanced towards the bathroom, seeing the door closed, walked over and pushed it, finding it locked from inside.

Just then, Xu Yuan, having finished in the bathroom, heard the commotion and came over too, ”Mr. Huo, Xiaoying is missing—”

Seeing the situation in the bedroom, something had happened!

She omitted the rest of her words automatically.

Jin Bo looked at Huo Jinnan, ”Come over, open the door.”

Huo Jinnan put the now calm Xiaoqi in the crib, walked over, placed his hand on the door handle, exerted force discreetly, and opened the door with a pull.

Jin Bo entered, glanced around, saw the window wide open, and Xiaoying’s figure was already missing.

Huo Jinnan stood there, his expression cold and poised, ”Captain.”

Upon hearing Huo Jinnan’s voice, the Captain looked up at Qin Huan and then at Xiaoliao in her arms.

Qin Huan smiled towards the Captain, ”It’s okay now, go ahead.”

The Captain instantly flashed a fierce look, dashed towards the bathroom, leapt onto the window, sniffed, and then bounded out.

Within less than half an hour, Xiaoying returned to the Huo Mansion, the Captain following behind.

Xiaoying walked while trembling, cautiously watching the Captain, afraid it might bite her again.

”Grrr~”

The Captain bared its teeth from behind.

Xiaoying quickened her pace, entering the bedroom, where she saw Huo Jinnan and Qin Huan sitting at the bedside, Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi already placed in the crib, sleeping soundly.

Qin Huan looked at the Captain and softly said, ”Captain, you watch over Xiaoliao and Xiaoqi here, okay?”
