Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Isn’t it really just an attack?

He felt a giant black shadow fiercely assaulting him.

Suddenly, the entire field of view fell into endless darkness, all light abruptly vanished from sight, cold and damp, his whole body felt chilly, followed by a maddening itch, quickly turning into a pain beyond ordinary imagination, like countless ants gnawing at your bones, bones about to split apart, piercing gradually from inside out, spreading to the muscles and skin.

Even the gaps between teeth felt like they were cracking, that pain crazily growing, expanding, stinging the brain like sharp blades, and the head felt like it’s going to burst open with pain.

Every organ, every bone, every nerve seemed to be torn by something...

In the subconscious, desperately wanting something, the faster the better. If not obtained, wanting to use the body to collide, wanting to use the hands to tear at everything that can be torn, as if only by doing so could the pain be alleviated!

...

Looking back, more nightmarish than a nightmare.

Big brother said each time it’s more fierce!

Suddenly realized I forgot to ask how often the attacks were.

Huo Jinnan snapped out of it, sat by the bed, looked at Qin Huan, tightly squeezing her hand, fingers interlocked.

Qin Huan quietly lay there.

Huo Jinnan bowed his head, looked at her abdomen, lifted her clothes, and gently rubbed with his slightly rough palm.

After a while of rubbing, two small bumps appeared on the stomach, one big, one small.

Huo Jinnan lowered his head, kissed the smaller one, then the bigger one, speaking with a magnetic voice, ”Xiaoliao, Xiaoqi, I’m daddy.”

The two small bumps moved as if responding to his words.

Huo Jinnan looked up, saw Qin Huan smiling, eyes fixed, gazing deeply.

The smile gradually faded, restored to usual calm.

He leaned forward, kissed her red lips, grasping firmly.

After a while, he halted his actions, his lips moved away, she remained so calm.

Huo Jinnan looked deeply, ”Have you excluded me from your world too?”

Qin Huan, ”...”

After a while, seeing the nurse come in to help Qin Huan wash her body, he stood up, ”Let me do it.”

The nurse glanced at Huo Jinnan and quickly went out.

Huo Jinnan put the towel into a basin filled with hot water, soaked for a while, squeezed to half dry, walked to the bedside, took off Qin Huan’s top, helped her clean.

Qin Huan lay there, quietly like a delicate and beautiful cloth doll.

After cleaning, Huo Jinnan left the ward, stood in the living room, picked up the cigarette pack on the coffee table, drew out one, thought of the little ones, then put it down again.

He just stood for a while, went back to the ward, lay on the companion bed next to it and fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, the phone rang.

It rang just once, Huo Jinnan woke up, reached out his long arm to grab the phone, glanced at it, saw it was Xiang Xiran, holding the phone, left the ward, stood on the balcony of the living room, answered the call, eyes deeply concentrated on the night outside, without making a sound.

Xiang Xiran waited for a long time, heard no voice from Huo Jinnan, lying in bed, changed position, lazily uttered, ”It’s Xiang Xiran.”

Huo Jinnan coldly snorted, ”Still have leisure to sleep now?”

Xiang Xiran’s face subtly changed, ”These days, your body hasn’t been acting unusually, has it?”

Huo Jinnan, ”Disappointed you.”

”...”

Xiang Xiran’s breathing turned chaotic; could something have gone wrong?

Huo Jinnan spoke with an icy voice, ”Xiang Xiran.”
