Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Seeing Bi Fu close the door, Wen Nuan felt a bit nervous, ”Mom.”

Bi Fu sat on the bed, ”Why did you throw away the sheets halfway through washing them?”

Wen Nuan stood there, biting her lip, ”He threw them away.”

Bi Fu noticed Wen Nuan’s hands were a bit red and swollen. She remembered that her daughter’s hands were like this every winter, and even in other seasons if she touched cold water. ”Why didn’t you use hot water?”

Wen Nuan stood there and gently responded, ”Isn’t that just lazy?”

”It sure is lazy.”

Bi Fu couldn’t help but comment, thinking about how Qin Shaojin actually cherished Nuannuan; let it be then!

Seeing Wen Nuan standing there, her face slightly reddened, she softly asked, ”Do you like him?”

Wen Nuan glanced at Bi Fu and responded in a small voice, ”He’s okay.”

Just okay?

Looking at her like this, she seems to really like him, right?

Bi Fu thought about the words she overheard when she exited the elevator earlier, feeling a bit unnatural on her face, ”Tomorrow when your dad is around, be mindful. Don’t be as improper as you were today.”

”...”

Wen Nuan pouted, what does ”improper” mean?

When mom was around, she and he were clearly proper!

It must be because of what Qin Shaojin said!

Thinking about those words again, her face involuntarily turned bright red.

Bi Fu looked at Wen Nuan, ”Alright, go and help him.”

Wen Nuan replied with an ”Oh,” and went to the kitchen, seeing him in a white shirt handling fish scales. The sight of his back was irresistibly charming, making her heartbeat a bit chaotic, and her voice became much more tender, ”You... you can also handle fish scales? How about I do it?”

Qin Shaojin turned to look at Wen Nuan, ”Just stand there and keep me company.”

Wen Nuan responded with an ”Oh,” and stood there watching, his face was perfect and complemented by peach blossom eyes, a handsome nose, and thin, sensuous lips, creating a breathtaking visual!

”If you keep staring, we’ll try it once in the kitchen.”

Qin Shaojin lowered his head, skillfully scraping the fish scales with a swish, swish, swish.

Wen Nuan continued to watch, her gaze falling on his white shirt, which astonishingly remained spotless!

...

At five-thirty, Bi Fu came over, glanced at Qin Shaojin, and thought about how Old Wen would be back soon. When he saw Shaojin, he might not be happy, ”Shaojin, it’s getting late. You should head home. I can handle the rest.”

Qin Shaojin squeezed some dish soap, washed his hands several times, went to the living room to grab his jacket, and left.

Bi Fu watched, feeling completely satisfied, ”Nuannuan, go see Shaojin off.”

Wen Nuan replied with an ”Oh,” happily changed her shoes, and followed Qin Shaojin out the door.

Inside the elevator, at this moment, only the two of them were there.

Wen Nuan walked over, stood next to Qin Shaojin, and leaned against him slightly, ”I think my mom’s approval is through, but my dad is more difficult to deal with.”

Qin Shaojin looked at Wen Nuan, ”You don’t have to worry about these things. Failing to win over the future father-in-law is my problem.”

”...”

Wen Nuan sucked in her cheeks, they haven’t even reached that stage yet, and he’s already calling him the future father-in-law!

...

Wen Hua came back early, entered the building, and saw the elevator was stuck on their floor without moving for a while, so he pressed the up button.
