Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”Bang——”

The punk hit immediately passed out, falling to the ground.

Che Huan struck with great force, breaking open the person’s head and drawing blood.

Looking at the gang leader, he had already knocked a dagger out of another person’s hand and was biting down on that person’s arm.

Seeing his companion at a disadvantage, that man tried to run but was bitten tightly by the gang leader, unable to escape, with both arms bloody and nearly fainting from the pain.

Che Huan went to get her cellphone from the bedroom and dialed 110 to call the police.

Half an hour later, the police arrived, and they began collecting evidence on the scene.

Che Huan and the gang leader were also taken to the police station to give their statements.

The bitten fatty insisted that it was Che Huan’s pet dog that had attacked them, which was why they had pulled out daggers for self-defense, and Che Huan had used an electric baton to knock out his friend.

With no witnesses and no cameras in the hallway, Che Huan and the fatty stuck to their differing stories.

The leading Officer Zhang looked at Che Huan, ”Do you have a dog license?”

Che Huan shook her head.

”Illegal pet keeping!” Officer Zhang glanced at Che Huan, then casually picked up Che Huan’s ”Self-Defense Stick” and asked, ”Where did this police baton come from?”

Is this police-issued?

Fearing that she might involve Qiao Qiao, Che Huan insisted that she bought it online.

Remembering the instructions to give her a hard time, Officer Zhang chuckled and turned off the camera, ”Tight-lipped, huh? Illegal possession of a police baton, this charge alone is enough to give you a hard time!”

From the look of things, Che Huan felt the situation was grim, could they be planning to torture her?

Just then, Officer Zhang’s phone rang.

He got up and left the interrogation room, ”Chief, I’m in the middle of taking a statement.”

The bureau chief glanced at Huo Jinyun sitting opposite and said, ”That’s the situation, just wait a bit, we’ll talk after tomorrow.”

After hanging up the phone, he turned to look at Huo Jinyun.

Huo Jinyun sat in the chief’s seat, commanding the room with an air of authority, ”Let me know immediately if there is any news.”

”Of course, Miss Huo,” the bureau chief replied, bowing and scraping.

Huo Jinyun stood up, grabbed her bag, and left the police station. Once in the car, she thought of Wen Hua and looked to the Butler, ”Old Liu, do you think the man who is with Che Huan could be the same one who helped Wen Hua?”

The Butler looked at Huo Jinyun, ”Madam, this...”

Huo Jinyun pondered in secret, if it was really so, this man was not of mere ordinary status. This time, she was determined to expose him!

———Yunqi Academy———

Che Huan was locked up in a detention room, wearing only a thin nightgown, which felt chilly in the middle of the night. She hugged her knees with both hands.

For illegally keeping a pet dog, illegally possessing a police baton, and being suspected of deliberate assault among other charges, she was detained, and her cellphone was confiscated, making it impossible to contact Huo Bei.

Thinking it over, yesterday’s incident didn’t seem so simple. The police didn’t listen to her explanation at all, and were determined that she was suspected of deliberate assault. Could it be Gu Jizhou?

She was afraid of this. During the statement-taking, she hadn’t dared to mention Huo Bei. Bringing him up could have been counterproductive, but what about the gang leader? They wouldn’t mistreat the gang leader, would they?

Unable to sleep all night, she was taken early the next morning for questioning.

Che Huan sneezed and looked at Officer Zhang, ”The gang leader is a dog a friend left in my care.”

”What’s your friend’s name?”

”Qiao Qiao.”

”Contact details.”

Che Huan gave Qiao Qiao’s mobile number, and Officer Zhang contacted Qiao Qiao, asking her to bring the dog license and come over to make a statement.

Listening, Che Huan hoped that Qiao Qiao could improvise. If the chance arose, she would have Qiao Qiao contact Huo Bei.
