”We’ll make the contract,” Wu Wang said.

A few moments later—

[Contract Details: Wu Wang and Shi Fa will play ’tag’ with you in a custom match. If you lose, you will reveal to them every detail pertaining to how you acquired ’Void Control’. If you win, they will no longer question you, nor report you to the military, and let you go.]

[Breaking the contract will result in penalties]

”Great. Now let’s get started,” said Wu Wang.

Yuan then said, ”I should have asked earlier, but is it possible to have 2-on-1 custom matches?”

”Yes, it’s possible, as long as we do it for Last Man Standing.”

They left the room shortly after and made their way straight to the entrance for Last Man Standing.

”Don’t even think about running away,” Wu Wang warned him.

Yuan silently shrugged before entering the waiting room.

A few minutes later, he received a custom match offer.

Meanwhile, Shi Fa and Wu Wang were left speechless by Yuan’s player record.

[Player: Yuan]

[Cultivation: Ninth Level Third Ascension]

[One Above All Rank: Expert]

[One Above All Highest Win Streak: 200]

”This bastard actually has a 200-win streak!” Wu Wang could hardly believe his eyes.

A few moments later, the three of them were teleported to the arena—a massive 500-mile-long round platform seated in the middle of a colossal colosseum.

Since Last Man Standing was designed for one hundred people to fight simultaneously, the arena seemed far too spacious for only three participants. However, considering they were about to play tag, it was the perfect setting.

”So, let’s make this clear. The moment either of us touches you, it’s our win,” Shi Fa said.

Yuan nodded, ”Sure.”

”What about the time limit?” Wu Wang asked.

”I’ll let you decide.”

”You’ll regret it.”

”Try me.”

Shi Fa and Wu Wang spent the next minute discussing the time limit with each other.

Eventually, Wu Wang said, ”Since we don’t want to bully you, we’ll make the time limit 15 minutes.”

”Fifteen... minutes?” Yuan muttered with a dumbfounded look on his face after hearing it.

”What? Is it too long? Well, too bad.” Wu Wang smiled.

”Hahaha!” Yuan suddenly burst out laughing.

”No, I am fine with fifteen minutes,” he continued as he wiped the tears in his eyes.

The reason Yuan allowed them to set the time limit was that he anticipated they would give themselves less time than they would have received had he set it himself.

However, in Wu Wang and Shi Fa’s eyes, fifteen minutes was already more than enough time. Continuously using Void Control rapidly drained one’s energy, and Yuan would be facing two opponents at once.

”In that case, we will start at your signal,” Shi Fa said.

”The moment you use Void Control, we will begin.”

Yuan nodded.

After a few seconds of stillness, Yuan suddenly vanished into thin air.

A split second later, both Wu Wang and Shi Fa also disappeared, chasing after Yuan.

Yuan appeared about half a mile away a second later, and the two soldiers swiftly appeared beside him half a second later.

However, before they could even start reaching for him, Yuan vanished into the void again.

’He’s fast! Much faster than what we witnessed before!’ Shi Fa quickly realized that they had been underestimating Yuan.

”He’s faster than before. Instead of going after him simultaneously, we’ll go at intervals,” Wu Wang said.

Shi Fa nodded in agreement. ”I’ll go first.”

Once Yuan reappeared, Shi Fa chased after him.

The moment Yuan vanished again, Wu Wang made his move.

The two continued this pattern for the next five minutes. Yet, even after using Void Control more than a hundred times, neither of them came close to tagging Yuan.

’Fuck! This is bad!’ Shi Fa cried inwardly.

Even though they still had ten minutes remaining, the rate at which they were exhausting their energy meant they realistically had only another five minutes before they ran out completely.

After another two minutes, both Wu Wang and Shi Fa noticeably slowed down.

’How is he not slowing down at all?!’ Wu Wang cried inwardly.

Logically, Yuan—whose cultivation was far inferior to theirs—should have been exhausting himself much faster. But somehow, he did not appear tired in the slightest.

Suddenly, Yuan teleported right behind Wu Wang and spoke, ”Do you know why I laughed?”

”You!”

Wu Wang quickly swung around to tag him, but Yuan had vanished already.

”Because I was expecting you to give yourselves a couple of hours to tag me.”

Yuan’s voice resounded right behind Wu Wang again.

Shi Fa tried to tag him from behind this time but failed.

”If this is all you’ve got, you’ll never tag me even if I gave you a lifetime to try,” Yuan said.

After hearing his provocation, Wu Wang and Shi Fa stopped caring about their strategy and started chasing him together.

However, they quickly realized something was different—something had changed.

’I...I cannot sense where he’s going anymore!’ Shi Fa’s eyes widened with shock as he halted and stared at the empty space before him.

Wu Wang also froze when he could no longer sense Yuan.

”What did he do?! How come I cannot sense him anymore?!” Wu Wang exclaimed in disbelief.

”I don’t know... I have never seen this before,” Shi Fa shook his head, looking just as puzzled.
