Chapter 2976: Chapter 2974: No, you need me! Your body is saying you need me!

Daozi: “???”

Across from him.

The Dark Sun watched Daozi—it had initially thought that the one proving their Dao this time was the Wielder of the Will, the Ninth Heavenly Dao.

But when Daozi’s aura of eternity silently arrived, the Dark Sun recognized the aura on him right away.

This was clearly not the Ninth Heavenly Dao but rather the aura of the Eighth Heavenly Dao “Sphere Heaven Dao,” which had recently ‘collapsed’ before all in the myriad practitioners in the universe!

In other words, this was the backup plan of the Eighth Session Heavenly Dao!

It was Sphere Heaven Dao’s second attempt at proving his Dao!

Was the Sphere Heaven Dao deliberately using ‘collapse’ as a way to exit the Heavenly Dao seat and seek detachment by going through the process of ‘proving his Dao for eternity’ again?

“Is this your backup plan, Sphere Heaven Dao? I didn’t expect you to hide it so deeply,” the Dark Sun spoke solemnly.

To be honest, not even he had anticipated the extent and limit of Sphere Heaven Dao’s tactics.

Moreover, after deducing the plan, it discovered that such a second proving of Dao really held the hope for ‘complete detachment.’

However… it’s easy to talk about a second proving of Dao, but the execution is far from simple.

Among the many sessions of Heavenly Dao so far, only the current ‘Sphere Heaven Dao’ had completed the process of a second proving of Dao.

Nobody knew how he managed it.

Indeed, none who proved their Dao to achieve eternity and became the Heavenly Dao were simple characters!

Even the ‘Daoist Priest Virtue,’ who seemed to have been the weakest link in the history of Heavenly Dao, turned the tables at the last moment. Just as it was about to succeed and truly ‘detach,’ it smashed its plans to smithereens, severing all the karmic ties of myriad practitioners!

Faced with the praise of the Dark Sun, Daozi remained expressionless.

Daozi’s intent slightly retreated, merging with his Indestructible body—the Heavenly Dao True Body Descending Mode!

In an instant, the interspatial pocket within the Dream Realm began to contort.

In what had been a barren world, golden lotuses blossomed out of nowhere.

After those ‘Immortal Aura Sand Piles’ had been blown away, pavilions and towers appeared in their place.

Rivers, lakes, small trees, and green grass started showing their divinity.

In the blink of an eye, the interspatial world was transformed into a vibrant small world.

Moreover, these changes weren’t an illusion but real alterations.

It was the True Heavenly Dao Body arriving that caused the myriad practitioners’ universe to automatically evolve to complement the true rewrite!

This change was not only in the environment but also the evolution of the entire interspatial pocket into ‘Daozi’s domain, squeezing the Dark Sun’s control over this area!

Across from him, the Dark Sun didn’t mind its ‘domain’ being invaded.

It looked at Daozi, its tone growing impassioned: “A second proving of Dao, a person proving eternity twice… Is this the ‘Transcendence Method’ you’ve devised? This is a path I had not considered.”

“But you still failed, Sphere Heaven Dao!”

“You haven’t detached completely.”

“That means your ‘Path of Transcendence’ is incorrect.”

It could see that ‘Sphere Heaven Dao’ across from it, who had proven his Dao twice, was still bound by the laws of the Heavenly Dao and was still burdened by this ‘myriad practitioners’ universe’—like a kite tied with a string, bound to the myriad realms and unable to fully detach.

But for the Dark Sun, this was good news!

Since the ‘Sphere Heaven Dao’s’ second attempt to detach failed, it meant there was an opportunity for cooperation between it and the ‘Sphere Heaven Dao!’

The Sphere Heaven Dao had failed, so he would need to find a new method for transcendence!

That was the contract for their cooperation!

As long as there was an opportunity for cooperation, the contradiction between the two could be resolved through negotiation.

“So, Sphere Heaven Dao… what you now need is a brand-new, viable Path of Transcendence!” In the midst of the Dark Sun, a black flame sparked, forming a hand extended toward ‘Daozi’: “You need me!”

“I don’t need you,” Daozi replied, your lump of dark sun is ugly!

“No, you do!” the Dark Sun shouted: “You, like me, are part of the pursuit of ‘detachment.’ Detached from the Heavenly Dao, completely detached from everything, no longer limited, with freedom and eternal life, rather than a constrained eternity! Your body is answering me, you need me, you need to cooperate with me to gain a brand-new ‘Path of Transcendence!’”

Daozi: “…”

He had a feeling that the other party had misunderstood something.

“A perfect Path of Transcendence! And my ‘Transcendence Method’ has even been tested once. At the end of the test… I had seen the point of complete detachment,” the Dark Sun spoke seductively.

There was a charming allure in its voice that made one unable to resist the temptation to hear more of what it had to say.

Daozi gently pinched his fingers.

But, apparently attracted by what the other side had said, Daozi didn’t launch a direct offensive attack.

Seeing its topic taking effect, the Dark Sun revealed a smile in its heart.

It knew that Sphere Heaven Dao couldn’t resist this topic!

Sphere Heaven Dao, like itself, sought true detachment, true freedom. Unlike the scum bum ‘Daoist Priest Virtue’ from before.

“Since you, Sphere Heaven Dao, are already seeking the ‘Transcendence Method’ and have attempted detachment once, you must have realized that the authority of the Heavenly Dao and our Indestructible bodies, while bestowing upon us supreme insight and immortality, also bind us like ropes to this ‘myriad practitioners’ universe.’ Over time, even our ‘self’ can be affected, turning us into the Heavenly Dao instead of the Heavenly Dao becoming us,” the Dark Sun began to elaborate on its temptation.

“But my Transcendence Method is about completely undoing these ‘Binds.’ The Heavenly Dao authority grants us immortality, we can outlast the decay of heaven and earth… the answer is actually very clear.”

“The Heavenly Dao authority’s ties bind us to the myriad realms, and we cannot completely sever this rope. Unless we forsake the Heavenly Dao seat, forsake this ‘Indestructible’ body.”

“If so… why don’t we think in reverse?”

“The previous Heavenly Daos actually fell into a thinking trap. Why must we sever that rope? Why can’t we obliterate the ‘myriad practitioners’ universe’ that the rope is tied to?”

“If this myriad practitioners’ universe turns to ashes, even if we are still bound by the so-called ‘Heavenly Dao’ rope, there would be nothing left on the other end to hold us back. We would still have truly achieved transcendence, would we not?”

“I’ve already conducted one experiment, I was one step away from achieving true transcendence, true freedom. No worries about being limited by the Heavenly Dao laws, no worries about losing oneself…”

“In that instant before the myriad practitioners’ universe was completely destroyed, I felt true detachment.”

“So, cooperate with me, Sphere Heaven Dao!”

The Dark Sun, looking at ‘Daozi’.

He was certain that Sphere Heaven Dao would never refuse this cooperation!
