Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 536: Master Puʼs Sacrifice...

Watching as the Core Formation Realm bandit was getting closer and closer, Chu Yang quickly realized that it seemed like the other party did not care about the fact that the other bandits were no longer following behind him.

At least that, or he simply hadnʼt noticed it and had all his attention focused on the caravan.

However, considering the fact that the other party was someone in the Core Formation Realm, Chu Yang doubted this. After all, with his strength, the bandit should have been able to notice if close to two hundred bandits suddenly stopped following behind him before beginning to fight a second later.

Looking at the rapidly approaching bandit, Chu Yan tightened his grip around the handle of his spear as he prepared for the inevitable battle as he began to closely observe his opponent.

”Hm?”

Observing the bandit as he got closer, Chu Yang could not help frowning upon feeling the strong presence of the other party. Even from a distance, Chu Yang realized that the other party was stronger than him. Reaching the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm!

Not only that, but Chu Yang also discovered that the other party had a relatively unstable aura, like he had just recently broken through and had not had time to properly stabilize his cultivation base.

The fact that his cultivation was unstable, was more than a welcome surprise to Chu Yang, as he very clearly understood that the other party should not be able to use his full strength in such a state. Even if he had reached the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm given the fact that his cultivation base was still unstable, he would not be able to fully use his power!

Even more confusing, was the fact that the bandit did not seem to even acknowledge his presence at all and was instead keeping his full attention on the luxurious carriage located behind him.

”Here I come beau-”

Interrupting whatever the bandit was about to say as he finally got close enough, Chu Yang used the Mountain Breaker spear move from the Soul Spear Divine Mantra to attack him while he was still focusing his attention on the luxurious carriage. Having completely ignored him.

Swish~

As he sensed the attack heading his way, the bandit showed a bewildered expression on his face for a split second before quickly responding to the attack throw out by Chu Yang-

Bang!

Using his own weapon in the form of a saber to block the attack of Chu Yang from killing him!

Ptsh!

However, due to the fact that he did not manage to fully block the attack, he still ended up spitting out a mouthful of blood as he felt pain spread through his body from the arm which the saber, he had used to block the attack was in.

”You-”

Bang!

About to say something to Chu Yang, the bandit was once again interrupted as Chu Yang continued his attack without allowing the bandit any time to comprehend what was happening, as he was forced to defend himself against Chu Yangʼs attacks.

”Ah! How annoying!”

Knowing that Chu Yang was intend on fighting him, the bandit could only reluctantly give up on rushing towards the luxurious carriage, as he turned to face Chu Yang with all his might.

Boom-boom-boom!

As the fight between Chu Yang and the bandit continued on for a few minutes, the bandit seemed to have finally realized that no one other than himself had showed up so far.

”Where in the world is everyone!? Did those cowards run away…?” Muttering this to himself as he was gaining the upper hand in his fight against Chu Yang, the bandit could not help turning around to see where everyone had gone-

BOOM!

As dozens of bandits were killed by one of the servantʼs attacks the moment, he turned around to see what had happened to everyone.

”NOOO! BROTHERS!”

Along with the angry roar of the bandit leader who saw what happened to his brothers, the fight between the servant and the rest of the bandits increased in intensity, as the bandit leader madly attacked the servant with everything he had. Completely disregarding his own safety.𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

”Ah-!”

Catching the servant off-guard, the bandit leader finally managed to land a proper hit on the servant, as a visible wound dripping fresh blood appeared on the servantʼs face.

”…”

Watching this scene from afar as the battle become more and more chaotic, the bandit suddenly froze for a split second as he tried to comprehend what was happening behind him.

Swish~

Using this opportunity, Chu Yang used most of the qi left in his body to execute the Mountain Breaker spear move from the Soul Spear Divine Mantra-

Ptsh!

Managing to land a fatal blow on the bandit in front of him before he had time to react, still shocked after witnessing his leader and the other bandits locked in a brutal battle for survival against a powerful opponent.

”You!” Feeling the strength leave his body as the spear pierced through him, the bandit looked at Chu Yang filled with killing intent as he understood what had just happened. However, he was not about to go down without a fight, as he prepared to sacrifice his life to take Chu Yang down with him.

”Even if I die, I will-”

”AH-!”

Just as he was about to use a forbidden technique to sacrifice himself and take his opponent down with him, the bandit heard the scream of his boss in the distance. Watching with a painful expression on his face as the servant forcefully broke through a barrier formed by the bandit leader and cut off one of his arms.

The sight of what happened to his boss caused the bandit to stop himself from using the forbidden technique.

Swish~!

”Hmph!” Seeing Chu Yang coming towards him once again for another attack, the bandit only frowned before using his rapidly decreasing strength to dodge the attack before rushing towards the chaotic battle taking place between the bandits and the servant.

”…”

Not understanding what the bandit wanted to do, Chu Yang decided not to chase after the other party, as he was already exhausted after their battle.

Not only were the other party three minor realms above him, but he also had far more experience than himself when it came to fighting.

The reason why he could fight him, was not only because the banditʼs cultivation mantra and fighting techniques were far worse than his own, but also because the other party constantly got distracted during their fight. Allowing him to narrowly stay on a relatively equal footing against the bandit. Even managing to land a fatal blow after the other party had been distracted by the chaotic fight between the other bandits and the servant behind them!

…

”Look! Master Pu is coming back!”

”Is he perhaps here to finish off boss!?”

”This bastard! He can not even leave boss alone when he is about to die! Brothers! Letʼs stop him before he reaches the boss!”

Spotting Master Pu running back towards them, the other bandits did not seem to notice the fact that he had been injured, as the bandits who spotted him quickly tried their best to stop him when he got close enough.

Whoosh!

However, all of this was to no avail, as they had no way to stop Master Pu, who had already begun the process of using his forbidden technique. Wanting to sacrifice his own life in an attempt to help out his boss.

”Master Pu! Please stop what you are doing!”

”Donʼt do it Master Pu!”

”Why are you doing this!? What are we going to do in the future?!”

Hearing the anxious and saddened screams of the other bandits as they looked at him filled with hopelessness, Master Pu could not help shedding a tear as he became even more determined to save the boss.

You guys! If there is a next life, I hope to have such wonderful brothers again… If I had just not focused on the luxurious carriage and had instead been there to help out from the start. None of this would have happened in the first place!

Thinking this to himself as he arrived at the main battlefield where the bandit leader and the servant were located in combat with each other.

”Boss! Get everyone out of here, I will hold him back!”

Not waiting for his bossʼs reaction, Master Pu executed the final part of his forbidden technique, as he felt his strength rapidly increase, while his body began deteriorating at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Fwoosh!

At the same time, a large seal formed around the servant, as he suddenly found himself trapped inside a large bubble-

Boom!

Even attacking the bubble-like seal only caused a small amount of damage and it would at least take a few minutes for him to get out.

”… Everyone… RETREAT!”

Not knowing what had just happened, the bandit leader ordered the others to retreat with a confused expression on his face. Not understanding why Master Pu had suddenly come back to safe them.
