Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following the people from the Heavenly Dragon Temple leaving and Elder Song spending the next few hours calming down the excited elders trying to search for the second person who had supposedly broken through to the Domain Lord Realm, the situation in the Star Shattering Sect calmed down and returned to normal.

The only change being the fact that the grand elder of the half spirit race was now in the Domain Lord Realm and a rumor about Grand Elder Xuan planning to expand the size of the guardian formation spreading around the sect.

Of course, none of this had much impact on the current development of the Star Shattering Sect, as Elder Song soon began the process of sending elders out to expand the influence of the Star Shattering Sect in the neighboring outer region of the Sky Empire. Intending to take control of it before the war between the Sky Empire and different invading empires came to an end.

Knowing very well that the moment the war came to an end, the Sky Empire was likely to no longer exist, causing the different invading empires to start setting their sights on the different territories outside the core of the Sky Empire.

Even if the Star Shattering Sect had managed to avoid the war so far due to the fact that it was located right next to the Frozen Wasteland, it had only been able to do so because the different empires were far more focused on taking out the severely weakened Sky Empire. All of them intending to take out what they perceived as a competitor, while leaving a smaller force like the Star Shattering Sect that they didn’t perceive as a threat for later.

”Haaa… I wonder how long those noble families and clans can hold out…” Muttering this to himself as he thought about the current situation of the Sky Empire while sorting through a few documents regarding the recent development of a few smaller branch sects that would soon be established in the neighboring outer region, Elder Song could not help wondering if there was enough time for him to carry out his plans.

The main reason for this thought was due to the fact that the Soul Ascension Realm Experts left in the capital city of the Sky Empire had recently begun showing signs of running away before the imperial capital was fully surrounded by the forces of the invading empires.

Of course, the fact that the imperial capital had yet to be fully surrounded was also because the invading empires wanted these Soul Ascension Realm Experts to leave. After all, none of them wanted to engage in a life and death battle with them and possibly lose one of their own Soul Ascension Realm Experts if it could be avoided. Especially considering that none of the Soul Ascension Realm Experts in the imperial capital of the Sky Empire were part of the imperial family.

Even if they ended up running away, none of the invading empires felt like they would go through the trouble of enacting revenge on them in the future. On the other hand, some of the invading empires even wanted to directly take in these Soul Ascension Realm Experts and offer them a large portion of the conquered territory in return.

With all of this in mind and the chances of the Sky Empire surviving through the crisis becoming increasingly low, the only Soul Ascension Realm Experts capable of keeping the current situation somewhat under control was the three Soul Ascension Realm Experts from the three major religions.

Not only were they the strongest among all of the Soul Ascension Realm Experts in the imperial capital, but they also had no intention of giving up on the Sky Empire. The main reason for this being that they understood that doing so would result in their religions being expelled by the other religions that had taken root in the different invading empires, something that none of them could tolerate. Instead of this, it was better for them to try and hold on to the influence they still had in the Sky Empire and hope for reinforcement from their more powerful churches in the core region of the continent to show up.

Shaking his head as he thought about all of this, Elder Song only hoped that the Sky Empire would be able to hold on long enough for him to finish the process of taking control of the neighboring outer region of the Sky Empire. Feeling confident that they would be able to hold on to this much territory without the invading empires attacking them.

After all, the current Star Shattering Sect had more than one Soul Ascension Realm Expert now that Yi Min had decided to join. Even if she still intended to continue developing her kingdom independently from the Star Shattering Sect as a whole, she would still stand with the Star Shattering Sect in the face of external enemies.

Although the invading empires would be more than strong enough to deal with two Soul Ascension Realm Experts, Elder Song felt that they should not want to fall out with them over two outer regions of the Sky Empire when the most precious resources were located in the core region of the Sky Empire… And that is not mentioning the fact that the Star Shattering Sect also has someone in the Earth Immortal Realm present.

Even if the Earth Immortal Realm Expert in question is unable to move outside the sect from what he had heard from Xuan Hao and Feng Chen, it would still be more than enough to intimidate any of the invading empires and prevent them from having any thoughts.

Of course, all of this was not considering the fact that Xuan Hao was most likely also in the Earth Immortal Realm. Even though information about this had not been confirmed by the person in question yet, it was rather obvious to Elder Song, Feng Chen, and the rest of the higher ups of the sect that he should have reached the Earth Immortal Realm.

After all, without having reached the Earth Immortal Realm, how could he bring back a powerful Earth Immortal Realm Expert like Pei Yang and have him willingly join the Star Shattering Sect.

Even if the other party was in an injured state and owed a debt of gratitude to Xuan Hao for saving him, it would be unlikely for him to have joined the Star Shattering Sect without Xuan Hao being an expert in the Earth Immortal Realm. At most he might have offered to watch over the sect for a period of time. Not go as far as using a day every month for teaching the disciples and elders of the sect. Especially when he had not even fully recovered from his injuries.

”No matter how things end up panning out with the Sky Empire, I have a feeling that the Star Shattering Sect will be fine as long as Xuan Hao is around.” Muttering this as he let out a sigh while turning to gaze out of the nearby window, a determined smile briefly appeared on his old yet spirited face. ”Well… Considering that the Star Shattering Sect will be fine with Xuan Hao around, why don’t I speed up the expansion of the Star Shattering Sect a bit? Maybe also starting the expansion into the outer region partly under the control of the Onyx Empire!”

Turning his attention back on the documents in front of him with a slight smile, Elder Song pulled up several documents located rather far away before focusing his full attention on them.

”Hehe, with the recent emergence of a new Domain Lord Realm Expert and a large number of new elders taking over the roles of some older elders, I think we should have enough people to send out a few more people. Not to mention, I can also have Zu Fei join them for safety in case some of the Domain Lords from the Onyx Empire show up to cause trouble!” Mumbling this to himself as he kept his head in the documents he had just pulled over from a corner of the desk, the fate of countless elders along with the unfortunate Zu Fei was sealed.

The person who caused Elder Song to accelerate his expansion plans for the Star Shattering Sect, cultivating peacefully without knowing what kind of trouble he had ended up causing a large number of the older elders who had been lucky enough to avoid being sent to the neighboring outer region by Elder Song only a few weeks earlier.

In the end, when the matter was announced, the older elders were shocked and speechless. Not expecting Elder Song to suddenly come out with a new expansion plan a short time after the first had been announced.

…

”You… You want me to go!?”

Not at all having expected to also be sent out along with the older elders, Zu Fei could only freeze on the spot not knowing what to say after Elder Song personally came to inform her about the matter…
