Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following the discovery that the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race was about to form a pseudo domain; Xuan Hao gave him a few pointers to help make the process of forming his domain easier.

Whoosh~

Not wasting any time, the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit found a place to sit down before fully immersing himself in comprehending the pointers Xuan Hao had given him. Understanding how valuable the pointers of an expert in the Domain Lord Realm were for someone like himself.

”Elder Xuan, is there perhaps something you want to ask about?” Seeing how Xuan Hao had specifically given the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race a few pointers, Elder Song did not take more than a few seconds to realize that he had done this to make the other party leave.

Although, even if the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race knew about this, he would not be the slightest bit mad. After all, the pointers Xuan Hao had given him on the Domain Lord Realm were real and would help him in reaching the Domain Lord Realm in the future.

”Hehe, can’t hide anything from you Elder Song, I only wanted to ask about why so many of the sect’s elders have been gathered here. As far as I know, nothing major should have happened during the few weeks I was gone.” Chuckling to himself as he said this, Xuan Hao felt that Elder Song was indeed the smartest person among the elders of the sect. Nothing could elude his sharp senses.

If not for the fact that he was only in the Nascent Soul Realm, Xuan Hao would have been more than happy to have him take on the mantle of Sect Master. Feng Chen would most likely also have be more than happy if someone skillful like Elder Song could take his place as Sect Master and allow him to focus all of his attention towards increasing his cultivation.

Although the strength of the Sect Master did not matter too much in the grand scheme of things, as the main power of a sect always resided in the ancestors and powerful elders who had long since stepped aside to focus all their attention on cultivation or training a select few skilled disciples. The strength of the Sect Master could still not be too low, as it would at least have to be within the upper echelons of the sect.

Something that had now changed from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Domain Lord Realm since the Flying Sword Sect and Spring Flower Sect became the Star Shattering Sect…

”Gathering of elders? You want to know about the plans I have for the sect’s expansion?”

”Sect’s expansion? Sure, I’m curious about what you were up to.”

”Hehe, that is great!” Realizing that Xuan Hao wanted to know more about his plans, Elder Song’s eyes started shining for a brief moment before he started talking.

”The reason I gathered so many elders here is because I was planning to begin the next phase of the sect’s expansion into the major kingdoms. Considering how much stronger and larger those kingdoms are compared to the rest of the kingdoms we have set up branches in so far, the number of elders present here is only barely enough to establish a foothold for now.

In the future when the sect grows stronger and we get more Nascent Soul Realm Experts, I was planning to send out a few more to stabilize the new territory and ensure that the sect can hold on to its new territory without it developing into a chaotic mess where outlaws gather.

Other than this, I also planned to establish a few trading sections in the new branch sects that are going to be established to ensure a stable flow of resources and-”

Listening to Elder Song as he continued talking about all the different things he had planned when it came to the different branch sects, future trade routes between sects, disciple recruiting, management of the different minor powers under the major kingdoms and so on, Xuan Hao could not help sighing in amazement over just how detailed Elder Song’s plan was.

Not to mention the fact that it involved over a thousand different minor powers that would be managed by the Star Shattering Sect in the future, Elder Song had even included the different mortal villages and cities in his plans.

Although most sects and kingdoms would neglect these mortals, Elder Song understood just how important they were for the continuation of the sect. After all, most of the sect’s future disciples would come from these different mortal cities and villages. For this reason alone, Elder Song had seen it as vital to make sure that they would do well.

”Looks like you have already thought things through…” Knowing that Elder Song was not going to stop talking on his own any time soon, Xuan Hao decided to interrupt him before he ended up delaying the group of elders from leaving today. Even now, he could feel all of them looking towards him and Elder Song.

”Hm?”

Stopping his very in-depth explanation of how he planned to establish a new group of elders in the Star Shattering Sect that would be in charge of recruiting new disciples from all across the sect’s large territory. Sending the most talented to the main sect, while the rest would go to the closest branch sect.

”Look at how the time flies; the sun has already started going down. Hehe, Xuan Hao, if you will excuse me, I have something to attend to.” Letting out an awkward laugh upon realizing that the sun had started going down, symbolizing the fact that he had spent over half a day talking, Elder Song quickly returned to the large group of elders behind him. Not wasting a second before starting to give out instructions to them like nothing had happened.

”””…”””

The group of elders in question could only silently cry to themselves at the fact that they had been ignored, as they were soon sent off by Elder Song. All heading towards the location where they would be in charge of establishing a new branch sect over the next few years.

As for Xuan Hao, he quickly left the Ninth Star Peak and made his way back towards the Seventh Star Peak where the sect was located. Preparing to keep his promise with Elder Song and have Song Jia join one of his teaching sessions with Mui.

…

”Hong Xuan… Does he really want to fight it out with Star Shattering Sect even after finding out about that terrifying guardian demon beast? Even if one of the old ancestors really reached the Domain Lord Realm, I doubt it will make any difference.” At the same time that the Star Shattering Sect was about to move against the different major kingdoms, Elder Sheng Mei, one of the two most influential elders of the Flame Sky Kingdom was quietly cursing the other most influential elder of the Flame Sky Kingdom.

The reason why she was so annoyed at Elder Hong Xuan was because she had just recently found out that he had made a visit to the ancestors of the royal family and somehow managed to convince them to leave seclusion to side with him on the matter. Instantly destroying any sort of influence in favor of joining under the Star Shattering Sect that she had managed to build up over the past few years.

No matter how much influence she had as an elder, she was still nothing when faced with the old ancestors who were only a single step away from the Domain Lord Realm.

Although they were only separated by a single minor realm, this minor realm was like the difference between heaven and earth. An Eighth Stage Nascent Soul Realm Expert like her simply did not stand a single chance in the face of a Peak Nascent Soul Realm Expert with a pseudo domain!

”But… What on earth did that fellow use to convince them to leave seclusion and take his side on this matter? No matter how little they know about the outside world due to focusing all their attention towards reaching the Domain Lord Realm, they should at the very least be aware of just how strong the Star Shattering Sect is… And more importantly, how terrifying that guardian demon beast is.

Even I can tell that it should at least have reached the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, maybe even the Fourth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm!” Feeling a shiver run down her spine as she recalled the terrifying guardian demon beast, Elder Sheng Mei could not understand what had caused these ancestors to have the confidence in going against the Star Shattering Sect.

”Hm? Wait… There seems to be something that might explain it, what if they managed to get their hands on that powerful forbidden technique that some of the other resisting kingdoms got their hands on- No, maybe the person behind this forbidden technique was the one to convince them to follow the word of Hong Xuan!” Freezing on the spot as she suddenly realized this, Elder Sheng Mei could not help feeling something was wrong.

Even she knew the side effects of the forbidden technique, so the ancestors would know them as well. Considering the attitude of doing anything to reach the Domain Lord Realm, she doubted that these old ancestors would willingly use such a forbidden technique that would essentially kill them.

In the end, what had caused them to still go forward with resisting the Star Shattering Sect?
