Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”Ahhh-!?”

Feeling the air rushing against her face the moment she opened her eyes, Yi Xuan could not stop herself from screaming in fear, as she realized she had been transported somewhere above the clouds. Given that she had yet to reach the Nascent Soul Realm, falling from such a height was almost certain death. Making Yi Xuan start panicking even more.

”Can you quiet down for a moment? Don’t you see that we aren’t falling?”

”A- Huh?”

Suddenly hearing the voice of Lu Wen calling out to her from the side, Yi Xuan could not help tilting her head in confusion before starting to look around herself.

Indeed, like what he had said, she wasn’t falling any more. Instead, she was sitting on top of one of the clouds she had first seen after being transported by the weird stone with the teapot symbol on top of it.

”What in the world is this- And where are we!?” subconsciously grabbing hold of the cloud below her as she said this, Yi Xuan looked towards Lu Wen with a questioning expression on her face. Wanting to know just what was happening and how she had suddenly ended up so far up that the ground wasn’t even visible when looking down because of a dense layer of clouds covering everything beneath her-

”How would I know? I just inject some of my qi into the stone with the teapot symbol on it and then we ended up being transported here.”

However, she had forgotten the fact that Lu Wen likely did not know any more than her about their current situation…

Whoosh~!

Just at this moment, the clouds surrounding them began moving all over the place before suddenly changing into all sorts of different things, one cloud materialized into a small forest, while another materialized into a large floating island that the forest was placed on top of right next to where Yi Xuan and Lu Wen were standing.

””…””

Not able to get say a single word at the serene floating island that suddenly materialized beneath their feet within the span of a few seconds, both Yi Xuan and Lu Wen could only stare silently at each other in disbelief over what had just happened.

If not for the fact that they could clearly feel the ground beneath their feet and the soft grass that covered the entire floating island, they would have thought that the floating island was some kind of illusion.

”Hm? Is that a house…?” Being the first among the two to recover from the shock of a floating island suddenly materializing from clouds beneath them, Lu Wen soon noticed a small house located at the center of the floating island.

The house was not special and looked no different from the house of a normal mortal. No special material had been used in its construction other than normal wood and stone. If not for the fact that the house was located on top of a floating island, it would have been easy to ignore such an ordinary-looking house…

”Let’s go and take a look, we might be able to find a way out of this place inside the house.” Nudging Yi Xuan who had still not fully recovered from the shocking scene of the clouds gathering together to form the floating island that they were currently standing on top of, Lu Wen began making his way towards the ordinary-looking house at the center of the floating island.

Part of him felt curious about what might be hiding inside the small house, while another part of him was scared about the potential danger they might encounter.

”Ah? Ah! Wait up for me!” Realizing that she was getting left behind, Yi Xuan quickly got up before dashing after Lu Wen. Not wanting to be left alone on the edge of the floating island. Especially when she had no idea whether there was anything dangerous lurking somewhere on the floating island.

After all, even if it seemed unlikely for a demon beast to get formed by the clouds in a similar way that the floating island had been materialized, she didn’t dare to take the chance!

…

Creak~

Arriving in front of the small house without encountering any problems along the way, Lu Wen and Yi Xuan cautiously proceeded to open the door of the small house before peeking inside-

”This is…”

”An ordinary house…?”

Being met with what looked like a normal house without anything special about it.

However, given the fact that they were currently on top of a floating island in some unknown location, both Lu Wen and Yi Xuan could not help feeling surprised that there was nothing special about it like they had been expecting.

”Hm? That is… The stone with the teapot symbol on it!?” Continuing to look around the interior of the small house, it did not take long before Lu Wen suddenly spotted a stone, that looked eerily similar to the stone that had ended up transporting them to their current location, on top of a large wooden table.

Not only that, but when he looked through his belongings, he discovered that the small stone was nowhere to be found. Meaning that the small stone located on top of the table was most likely the same stone that he had accidentally used to transport them to their current location!

”The stone! Does this mean we can get out of here if you inject your qi into it!?” Unlike Lu Wen, who had not moved after spotting the small stone with the teapot symbol on top of it, Yi Xuan didn’t waste a single second before jumping forward to grab the small stone.

Swish-!

”Here you go. Now get us back to the sect by doing the same thing you did to get us here in the first place!” Handing the small stone over to Lu Wen before saying this with a look of expectation on her face. Clearly, she did not want to stay on the weird floating island for even a second longer. Understanding very well that it was dangerous for them to stay in an unknown location filled with all sorts of unknown dangers that might end up killing them if they were unlucky.

”Fine…” Knowing that he had been the one at fault in landing them in an unknown situation that might turn out life threatening at any moment, Lu Wen agreed to her request, while in the back of his mind deciding to return to explore the mysteries of the floating island later by himself if it was possible.

The main reason for him wanting to do something like this was not only because he wanted to find something of value on the floating island to justify all the spirit stones and artifacts, he had lost to buy it, but also because he had clearly felt the connection from the stone with the teapot symbol on top of it had grown stronger after being transported to the floating island.

Even more mysterious was the fact that the connection between himself and the small stone was not the only connection he felt after reaching the floating island. Instead, he now also felt a far greater connection to something different on the floating island. The only problem was he could not properly pinpoint the exact origin of this connection. Only capable of feeling how strong the connection was and the rough location being somewhere on the floating island.

”Let’s hope this works…” Muttering this to himself as he threw the thought of the strong connection coming from somewhere on the floating island to the back of his mind, Lu Wen poured his qi into the small stone with the teapot symbol on top of it once again-

Whoosh-!

And not a second later, both Lu Wen and Yi Xuan disappeared from the small house. Leaving no trace of them even being there behind.

…

”We are finally back! Haaah… For a moment I thought we wouldn’t be able to get back from that floating island…” Letting out a long sigh of relief after seeing that they had indeed managed to return to the sect again, Yi Xuan could not help feeling a sense of happiness well up inside her.

Even if they had only been gone for a few minutes, it had still been a scary experience for her. Especially considering that she had not yet left the sect for experience like Lu Wen had been doing.

”Indeed, it was good that we could get out of there safely. For now, we should- Y-you are!” Just about to say something in response to Yi Xuan, Lu Wen froze mid-sentence as he suddenly noticed someone had appeared in front of them.

”Hm? What’s the matter Lu Wen, what happened?”

Having her back facing the direction that Lu Wen was looking, Yi Xuan could not help tilting her head in confusion before turning around to see what he was looking at. Not understanding what had suddenly caused him to freeze on the spot with a fearful expression plastered all over his face.

”E-elder Xuan!?”

However, the moment she turned around, she could not help freezing on the spot like Lu Wen after seeing the person that had appeared behind her...
