Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 227: Feng Chen’s Breakthrough!

”Who… Who in the world was that!? And what was that snake like creature made of rocks!?” Standing only a short distance away from where the fight had just taken place, Xuefeng was filled with shock as she clearly felt the terrifying sword qi of the person who killed the rock snake.

This was not to say that the snake was weak in any way, as both she and Elder Meng were not able to get any closer to the place that the fight was happening as both of them would suddenly feel a terrifying pressure bearing down on both of them. Making them unable to move even a single step forward.

”We have to get back to inform the rest of the sect about this as soon as possible!” Compared to Xuefeng who was still looking towards the abandoned battlefield, Elder Meng had a serious look on her face as she said this out loud for Xuefeng to hear.

”Why…?” Not understanding why Elder Meng was suddenly in such a hurry to return to the sect again, Xuefeng asked in a confused tone while she tilted her head slightly to the side.

They had still not finished investigating the group of people that had set up an underground base inside the territory and mined for some sort of weird crystals… Should they not at least dig up a few of those blue crystals themselves to bring back before they returned to the sect?

”The snake from earlier was not in the Nascent Soul Realm but was in the Domain Lord Realm! The person who fought it earlier is definitely someone in the Domain Lord Realm as well! We have to inform the others about the fact that someone in the Domain Lord Realm showed up in our territory!

From what I know, he should most likely be someone coming to check out the secret realm that recently appeared at the edge of the Northern region of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom… At the edge of the Flying Sword Sect territory!” Saying this, Elder Meng did not wait for Xuefeng before she moved back towards the city to inform the rest of the people that came with them about the fact that they would be leaving.

”Ah! Wait for me!” Seeing that she had been left behind by Elder Meng, Xuefeng exclaimed in a panic before she ran after Elder Meng.

Not forgetting to cast on last look in the direction of the place where the mysterious person and the snake had fought each other earlier.

The remnants of power left behind as both parties fought each other still remained and would most likely become a hotspot for wandering cultivators to come and try to comprehend some of the attacks left behind by the snake and sword cultivator.

…

”Elder Xuan! Are you okay!? Was it you fighting earlier? I heard the fighting all the way back here and couldn’t sleep at all!” The moment Xuan Hao made his way back into the inn room where Bai Ning was staying, a barrage of questions suddenly came out from Bai Ning’s mouth as he worriedly looked up and down Xuan Hao. Trying to spot any injuries.

”I’m fine and yes it was me fighting earlier.” Already having fixed himself up before returning, Xuan Hao did not really feel that him fighting earlier was something that he needed to hide as he answered Bai Ning’s questions truthfully.

Xuan Hao also did this because he noticed the worried look on the Bai Ning’s face, he had clearly begun growing attached to him…

But was this not too fast? He had only met him a little over a day ago… Maybe it was because he was giving him a new place to live and a chance to continue practicing his blacksmithing that his late teacher had taught him before passing away?

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao did not to think too much about it and decided to just take this as a good thing.

After returning to the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao thought about having Bai Ning stay at his pavilion and have his two disciples help him adapt to life inside the Flying Sword Sect… This way he would not have to do much himself!

Other than that, it might be a good opportunity for Bai Ning to get someone other than an Elder of the sect like himself to talk with and he was not too far apart Qing Yi and Chu Yang when it came to age.

”It’s already late by now, you should get some sleep before we continue towards the Flying Sword Sect tomorrow morning.” Noticing the fact that Bai Ning was already beginning to doze off as he was standing there, Xuan Hao smiled a bit to himself as directed him towards one of the two beds in the room.

”Yes!” Hearing Xuan Hao, Bai Ning did not say much as he moved towards the bed Xuan Hao directed him to before he moved under the blanket and closed his eyes and before long, Xuan Hao felt the calm breathing of Bai Ning as he had fallen asleep only a few seconds after laying down on the bed and covering himself with the blanket.

From this, it could easily be seen how tired Bai Ning was.

Xuan Hao did not say much and just sat in a meditative position on the bed next, he was not going to sleep like Bai Ning and would instead be spending the rest of the night to recover from his earlier battle with the snake.

Even though Xuan Hao had won, he had clearly sustained quite a few injuries after being thrown around by the snake so many times and had to use some time to recover before he could return to his peak state again.

At the very least, it would not take him too long to recover and the rest of the night was more than enough time for him to recover to his peak again.

”The people from the Spring Flower Sect are leaving…? Maybe it was because of my earlier battle just outside the city?” Sensing the people from the Spring Flower Sect gathering together before quickly moving out of the city, Xuan Hao had a curious look on his face as he thought about it for a short moment before ignoring it and focusing back on recovering.

Xuan Hao wanted to meet the people from the Spring Flower Sect, but he would not bother doing it while he was in the process of recovering.

Originally, he wanted to pay them a visit before leaving the city, but that no longer seemed to be possible…

No matter what, he would still have to meet the people from the Spring Flower Sect at some point in the future when both sects were going to merge together.

Xuan Hao did not really believe that Sect Master Feng Chen would be against both sects merging as it would strengthen them and allow them to join the sect alliance the Sky Empire was putting together in an attempt to lessen the influence of the different churches inside their territory.

Shu Yao, who was the current Sect Master of the Spring Flower Sect was the one who came to ask about the merger would of course not say anything against it in the first place!

…

At the same time Xuan Hao was recovering inside the inn room, Feng Chen had reached a critical step in his cultivation as his aura constantly fluctuated and seemed to be reaching a breaking point as the floor beneath him began cracking apart.

”Hah!”

Letting out a loud roar as the aura around him finally managed to breakthrough and climb to the Eighth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm, but this was not the end of it!

Feng Chen did not stop there as his aura continued to climb. Going from someone who just reached the Eighth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm, all the way up to the pinnacle of the eighth stage!

At this moment, Feng Chen had a determined look in his eyes as he felt the barrier to the Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm standing in front of him as he attacked it with all his might.

BOOM!

With a final push towards the barrier to the ninth stage, Feng Chen felt exhausted as sat in the middle of his room. Looking at the surrounding room that had already become a completely destroyed by the aura that leaked out from him during his breakthrough.

”I-I succeeded!” Feeling his newfound strength as he broke through to the Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm, Feng Chen happily smiled to himself before closing his eyes to stabilize his cultivation base.

He had managed to reach the Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul realm in one go. Completely jumping over the eighth stage in the process.

Even if he had to spend longer than normal to stabilize his cultivation base, Feng Chen felt that it was worth it!

After all, he had just reached the Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm! Outside of the Half-Step Domain Lord Realm, this could be considered the pinnacle of the Nascent Soul Realm!
