Chapter 2408 Towards the World Island! Purple Flame True God! (3)

”Alright, I understand!” Je hastily interrupted Wang Tengʼs performance and said, ”Cut to the chase and tell me what happened.”

”Well, hereʼs what happened...” Wang Teng proceeded to narrate the whole story. He intended to have Round Ball draft a report, but since he had the opportunity to report directly to the president, he naturally had to put on a show given the severity of his injuries.

”The Heishan Royal Clan!” The presidentʼs demeanor turned somewhat cold after hearing Wang Tengʼs account. ”They have no shame. They wanted to lay their hands on a cosmos-stage warrior.”

”Exactly, theyʼre shameless! President, you must punish them severely and avenge your poor student,” Wang Teng chimed in.

The president glanced at Wang Teng in silence, then remarked dryly, ”Judging by your lively appearance, you donʼt seem seriously injured.”

”Cough, cough,” Wang Teng immediately started coughing violently, covering his mouth with his hand, then opened it to reveal bloodstains. ”President, Iʼve been enduring my injuries just to see you again.”

Rofort: ...

”Alright, alright!” The president waved his hand dismissively. ”Iʼll ensure justice is served in this matter.”

”Thank you, president!” Wang Teng beamed with a smile.

The president felt extremely helpless. He had no words for Wang Tengʼs shamelessness, but something seemed to dawn on him. ”I heard rumors that the Black Skull Universe Piratessʼ fleet has been destroyed, with the eternal-stage ruler on board. Is that true?”

”Itʼs just a rumor, no one knows if heʼs alive or dead.” Wang Teng shook his head.

”Alright, I understand.” The president said with a meaningful look at Wang Teng, then nodded thoughtfully. ”If thereʼs nothing else, Iʼll end the call,”

”Wait, thereʼs one more thing!” Wang Teng hastily interjected.

”Another thing? That wasnʼt the main thing?” The president was taken aback.

”Cough, cough, that was just a side note,” Wang Teng coughed awkwardly, feeling a bit guilty.

”You little rascal...” The president couldnʼt help but laugh and cry at the same time. ”Alright, spill the beans. What else do you have to say?”

Wang Teng promptly informed the president about the Virtual Universe Corporationʼs god-stage prodigy contract.

”Oh? The Virtual Universe Corporation actually offered you a god-stage prodigy contract.” The president couldnʼt help but be surprised. It had been years since the Virtual Universe Corporation had offered such a contract. He could barely recall when was the last time it happened.

”So, the people from the Virtual Universe Corporation should be right beside you.” The president concluded.

Wang Teng nodded, looking towards Rofort.

”Greetings, president of the Seventh Stellar Academy!” Rofort stepped forward beside Wang Teng and respectfully bowed toward the holographic display of the president.

Even Ruler, the eternal-stage ruler of the Virtual Universe Corporation, dared not show any negligence in front of the president.

The president nodded indifferently, showing less warmth compared to his interaction with Wang Teng.

”The Virtual Universe Corporation is very sincere about Mr. Wang Tengʼs contract, and we also hope to gain the approval of the academy. Thatʼs why I had him inform you. I hope youʼll pardon the intrusion,” Rofort explained.

”No problem!” The president waved his hand, saying, ”Iʼm pleased and delighted that the Seventh Stellar Academy can produce another prodigy whoʼs obtained the god-stage prodigy contract from your Virtual Universe Corporation.”

”So, does that mean you agree?” Wang Teng inquired.

”Let me see the contract first.” The president looked at Rofort and asked, ”Any objections?”

”Of course not.” Rofort smiled faintly, opening up the terms of the contract and presenting them to the president.

The president quickly scanned through the contents, his surprise evident. ”It seems the Virtual Universe Corporation values you highly.”

”Ah, thereʼs no helping it. As your student, Iʼm just too outstanding,” Wang Teng said, somewhat self-absorbed.

”I wonʼt be able to teach a student like you,” the president retorted, giving him a disdainful look. ”Thereʼs no issue with this contract. If you want to sign it, go ahead.”

”Alright,” Wang Teng replied earnestly upon hearing the presidentʼs words.

”You handle the rest yourself,” the president added curtly before closing the communication, disappearing from Wang Tengʼs view as if afraid Wang Teng would continue to bother him.

Wang Teng felt speechless. Was he really that annoying?

”Haha, Sir Wang Teng seems to be highly valued by your president,” Rofort remarked with a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes.

The attitude of the president of the Seventh Stellar Academy towards Wang Teng took him by surprise.

Each president of the Seven Stellar Academies was incredibly mysterious, rarely making appearances. The fact that one would personally appear for a new cosmos-stage martial warrior indicated many things.

It seemed that Wang Teng was more than just an ordinary student in the academy. At least, he had caught the attention of the president. However, it wasnʼt surprising. If Wang Teng could catch the eye of the upper echelons of the Virtual Universe Corporation, naturally, he could catch the eye of the president of the Stellar Academies.

Such a genius would shine brightly wherever he went. He was impossible to overshadow.

Wang Teng smiled noncommittally and said, ”Since the president says thereʼs no issue, letʼs go ahead and sign the contract.”
