Chapter 922: What A Huge Bird!

The sudden strong wind caught the team off guard. Fortunately, they could rely on Wang Teng, who used his spiritual power without thinking to pull them back.

At this moment, they were hiding in the cave behind the Black Wind Vulture King’s nest. They watched the storm blowing outside and felt the lingering fear.

Within seconds, the wind outside grew stronger and stronger. It soon turned into a piercing cold gale.

Swoosh!

The gale transformed into wind blades and slashed the walls of the mountain, leaving deep scars behind.

The three martial warriors were shocked. They took a few steps back.

“How dangerous!” Cold sweat dripped down Xiong Dali’s head. He was scared out of his wits. A few wind blades had flown past them just now and almost cut his nose.

This gale was terrifying. They didn’t dare to underestimate it even though they were planetary-stage martial warriors.

“This gale is very strong!” Brakay took a deep breath and said.

“I’ve never heard of the presence of such a powerful gale in the Black Wind Mountains. Even the Black Wind in this region isn’t as scary.” Xiong Dali wiped the cold sweat off his forehead as he nodded with a stern expression.

…

“What do we do now?” asked Hasten.

The three of them looked at Wang Teng. He was the strongest among them. If he hadn’t helped them, they might still be standing outside, welcoming the amazing gale with their bodies and turning into pieces of meat within a few minutes. Then, they would be forced to leave the virtual universe.

“Let’s wait,” Wang Teng replied calmly. He sat down cross-legged in the cave and frowned as he looked at the sky through the entrance.

What kind of beast made that sound just now? Was it behind this gale?

Many questions popped up in his mind.

The three martial warriors also calmed down seeing his reaction. They exchanged glances with one another and copied him, waiting silently for the gale to disappear.

However, life was always unexpected.

The gale didn’t disappear. Instead, it got more and more powerful. If one listened carefully, one could hear the ear-piercing cries of the wind.

Caw…

The same screech was heard once again. This time, it was nearer. It seemed to be right next to them.

The cry was shrill and penetrating. It stabbed into everyone’s ears. Xiong Dali and his friends covered their ears immediately with a painful expression.

Wang Teng’s expression changed. He used his Force to cover his ears to prevent his eardrums from getting injured.

The cries of star beasts were terrifying, especially powerful star beasts. Their cries were a kind of soundwave attack. Martial warriors could get injured unexpectedly if they took them lightly.

Wang Teng straightened his body and walked to the edge of the entrance. He looked up.

The gale immediately changed directions as if it had found its target. Wang Teng frowned. He activated his wind Force, but instead of fighting the wind blades head-on, he gently pushed the gale away.

The gale started to scatter and changed directions, moving away from Wang Teng.

This was his new understanding of wind Force. The wind was always in motion without a specific direction. Sometimes, he didn’t need to use brute force. He could guide the wind to achieve the results he wanted.

Of course, this was related to his talent. His emperor-level wind talent had improved tremendously, so his affinity with the wind Force also became very strong.

The other three martial warriors saw a faint green glow around Wang Teng. Then, the gale started to evade him automatically. Their eyes widened in astonishment.

They were martial warriors too, but why was Wang Teng so impressive?

While they didn’t dare to get close to the entrance, Wang Teng stood there like nobody’s business. It was unbelievable.

Caw…

The clear and loud cry shook the surroundings again. This time, Wang Teng felt that the sound was just above them. He squinted and looked over.

As the gale blew…

A large green bird flew above him along with a tornado.

Whenever it flapped its enormous wings, a gale would be formed that swept through the sky like a raging hurricane.

“That’s one huge bird!” Wang Teng exclaimed.

Silence.

His three teammates had also noticed the giant green bird and were reeling in shock. They were stunned when they heard Wang Teng’s words.

A huge bird?!

It sounded a little wrong.

Suddenly, Wang Teng’s expression changed. After the appearance of this giant green bird, the wind Force around him went out of control and stopped listening to his commands. They automatically headed towards the bird.

Wang Teng grimly looked at the bird in the sky. Surprised, he released all his basic five element Forces to resist the powerful gale.

The wind Force had been snatched by the green bird, so he couldn’t use it to influence the gale anymore. But he didn’t want to give up. He tried to influence the wind Force in the entire area, snatching ‘food’ from the green bird’s mouth.

Actually, he didn’t need to be so serious since he was in the virtual universe, but what if it happened in real life? Should he wait to die?

Instead of putting himself in danger when that happened, why not use the virtual universe as a training ground?

Wang Teng finally detected a hint of wind Force after exerting his wind talent to the maximum. He immediately grabbed it for himself.

He didn’t know that the green bird took his action as a provocation. It lowered its head and fixed its gaze on Wang Teng.

Noticing the change in the wind Force around it was a piece of cake for it.

Wang Teng immediately felt a chill zap down his spine. He had an ominous feeling. When he met the bird’s sharp gaze, a glaring green light shot into his eyes.

“Damn it!” Wang Teng was appalled. He released his spiritual power to resist the invasion of the green light.

Even so, he still took a step back. Blood dripped down the edge of his eyes.

Clang!

The green bird screeched loudly. The wind Force in the area got activated and turned into a strong ball of wind as it shot towards the cave Wang Teng was in.

Boom!

Everyone was thunderstruck. In an instant, the other three martial warriors were cut into pieces and died on the spot. They left the virtual universe involuntarily.

Wang Teng had already released all his Force when the green bird launched its attack. He even released his spiritual power to form a defense shield to block the gale.

Unfortunately, his enemy was too strong. Wang Teng only lasted for three seconds before the gale engulfed him.

Then, an excruciating pain surged through his body, and he was swallowed by darkness.

“F**k!”

Wang Teng opened his eyes and panted. He couldn’t help but curse aloud.
