Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 1187: Perfect Execution [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

The explosion had finally stopped, but just because the explosion had stopped didn’t mean things went back to normal. No, far from that, the destruction caused by the black orbs that Lyra had planted was immense, the wreckage was maddening as it seemed as if an apocalypse had descended upon the world itself, like the world was finally on the brink of collapse.

In a flash of light, various Velkrian Soldiers appeared as they seemed to either be teleported to the surface or moved by someone with an outrageous speed, whichever it was, it didn’t matter.

The Grand Regent, First Regent, Second Regent, and Third Regent all appeared, their bodies flickering into place, their faces not having eased, their expressions still twisted into frowns as they could sink into depression at any moment.

Beside them, over a million Soldiers who had survived the blast stood, they weren’t exactly injured as they had been saved by their Regents and some artefacts.

The Velkarin Emperor, a truly cunning man, had still anticipated the possibility of his Soldiers being found, after all, no plan in existence was ever foolproof. So, he gave out defensive artefacts that didn’t need Astra Energy to activate and function, just like how the black orbs Lyra had used had functioned.

The Velkarin Emperor had shared the defensive artefacts, but they weren’t enough to go around. Some Velkarin Soldiers saved each other through the artefacts, while the Regents also saved some Soldiers through the artefacts, which was why, despite Asher catching them off guard, a little bit over a million had managed to survive.

And with them not being injured, they could immediately fight and defend themselves. But was it really possible with the number difference between them and the Algorith Frontier? After all, the Algorith Frontier possessed five million Soldiers who were ready to go to battle at any moment.

Although some weren’t available at the moment, as some were always on various deployments and missions.

The Grand Regent’s face was extremely twisted at this point, and why? She had instinctively prioritized saving her Soldiers over her paper, ink, and lighter artefact. Although she had gone back for it, the lighter artefact had been destroyed as it had combusted from the staggering heat.

Meaning, at this moment, she couldn’t pass any form of message to the other underground bunkers.

Although she still had the paper and ink, what was she supposed to do with it?

Write a letter and attach it to a carrier pigeon that could mysteriously phase through the earth, bypass the decoy underground space without being killed, and make it to the silver metallic underground bunker?

She cursed endlessly in her mind. If only she had been a moment faster, if only she had just taken the items with her before she left to save her Soldiers. But alas, just as there was no pill for regrets, there was also no ability that erased regrets, unless someone could go back in time.

Asher, who was within the Second Layer Of Space, stared downward upon the Velkarin Soldiers, his eyes narrowing for a moment as he was a bit surprised that about a little bit over a million Soldiers had survived. He was about to frown when he stopped his own emotions. He had killed two million Soldiers single-handedly; that alone was a huge feat. There was no need to beat himself up that he couldn’t wipe out everyone.

He exhaled. Progress was progress.

As for the dead, he felt no atom of pity for them, not even a flicker of emotion crossing his heart and mind as he wiped them all out. Not because he was an emotionless machine, but simply because feeling pity and being emotional towards an enemy and someone who wanted to kill you was simply plain stupid.

The next moment, Lyra, who was invisible, appeared behind him. She simply floated behind in place without uttering a single word, neither saying her mission was complete nor reporting anything else.

Asher turned towards her as he stared at the woman. Right from the beginning, when they entered the silver metallic underground bunker, Lyra had followed him around as she could sense him. Although Asher didn’t exactly know how she achieved this, since no one was supposed to be able to sense him when he was within the Second Layer Of Space unless they possessed the Spatial ability to do so or a powerful sensory ability.

Lyra couldn’t see Asher, nor could she hear him if he said anything. She couldn’t even sense his gaze or anything of the sort. She was simply using a sensory-type artefact that he had gotten from the nineteen-thousand-year-old End-Class Monster to track her Young Master, as the artefact was so powerful that it could even transcend the Layers Of Space.

Yet, Lyra was simply using it to keep track of her Young Master’s location.

Asher shook his head as he didn’t bother to ask, but he would definitely be asking later on. This just wasn’t the place or time.

’I should be able to bring other people into the Second Layer Of Space. I just have to test it out and train it at my free time.’

Asher thought to himself as he made a mental note to revisit the matter later on.

With a thought, his body vanished from the Second Layer Of Space as he appeared at the First Layer once more. Lyra, who was floating behind him, seeing him appear in place, also deactivated her own ability.

Without turning towards Lyra, Asher proceeded to speak.

”Perfect execution, Lyra.”

His tone was appreciative as he thanked her. Although he didn’t really have to, as she was a subordinate of his, he still did.

”Thank you, Young Master.”

Lyra replied without a change in expression. She had already removed her disguise. She was now dressed in her maid uniform as her katana remained hanging on her waist, as she was ready to enter the battlefield if her Young Master encountered any issue or trouble.

As Asher was about to float downwards towards the Soldiers, a voice came from above from a presence which Asher’s passive Spatial Sense hadn’t even picked up.

”Finally decided to show yourself, Cadet Asher.”

At the voice, Asher and Lyra, who also hadn’t sensed the presence, snapped their heads upwards in the direction of the voice.

And floating above them was Damian Wargrave. Despite the smoke, debris, and everything else, the man’s white-colored Commander uniform remained as immaculate and neat as ever.

Asher sighed mentally as he saw it was Damian. Honestly, this man seemed to surprise him each time they met, and now, the man had evaded his passive Spatial Sense, which maybe he should have expected given how strong the man was, but still.

And not only that, the man seemed to have been watching him even while he was within the Second Layer Of Space. Asher couldn’t understand how Damian had achieved such a feat.

’Maybe by increasing his own sensory abilities?’

Asher guessed to himself as he stared at the man who remained floating above as the sun reflected on his back as though he was some form of higher existence.

’Can he increase his own sixth sense?’

Another question echoed within Asher’s mind, as this was the first time anyone other than Azaron had seen through the ability. Azaron he understood, as the man possessed an affinity with Space.
