Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 649: Azaron Versus Zolthemir-3

Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor’s face turned grim, his expression tightening under the sheer weight of what he was witnessing; this attack was more than enough to seriously injure Crownstar Life Rankers if they didn’t take the necessary precautions, yet Azaron simply walked through it as though it were nothing but a passing breeze, utterly disregarding the devastating nature of the storm as though it held no significance whatsoever.

’What kind of physique prowess is this?’ he thought to himself, his mind unable to settle, yes, he had once heard his own father, the former Emperor, describe just how ridiculous the former Wargrave Primarch was in terms of sheer scale of power and physical might, it had been one of the defining stories that shaped his perception of the Wargrave bloodline, but witnessing something like this firsthand, seeing it unfold before his very eyes, his thoughts couldn’t help but drift back to that moment when his father spoke of the Wargraves, especially those who rose to the position of Primarch within such a terrifying and monstrous lineage, beings who stood above all reason and logic.

Azaron came to a halt, his face devoid of any emotion, his expression calm and indifferent as ever, as though none of this held any weight in his mind, he raised one hand slowly, his fingers curling into a fist, and with an almost insulting ease, he punched towards the sky with immense, raw force. The moment his fist moved, silence tore through the battlefield itself, there was no wind pressure, no shift in air currents, no visible distortion, literally nothing happened, as though reality itself had momentarily refused to react to such an action.

Then it came, not instantly, but as though the world itself hesitated before deciding how to process such an attack, how to imprint it upon existence.

The sky, the churning thunderstorm that had been raging with apocalyptic fury, immediately burst apart, with that single sky-warping punch, the vast, endless sky that stretched beyond comprehension seemed to fracture and shatter instantly, the bolts of lightning vanishing as though they had never existed, the clouds dispersing into nothingness as the sky itself was erased from the heavens by nothing more than a single punch from Azaron, leaving behind an unsettling void of stillness.

Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor stared in disbelief, his mind struggling to process what he had just witnessed, Azaron hadn’t just wiped out the sky, he had also erased the entire energy conversion he had constructed within it, the very foundation of his attack dismantled effortlessly, as though it had never existed in the first place.

Ender appeared in Azaron’s hands once more, but this time, it vanished just as quickly, returning to his soul as though it had never been summoned at all. Unlike the time when Azaron had fought Valentine, the assassin guild leader, that battle had been deliberately prolonged, stretched out for his own enjoyment, but this time, things would be different, there would be no indulgence, no drawn-out exchange, he would show the Emperor what true despair meant, carve it into his very being, and then end his miserable life, ensuring that no one else would dare to cross such boundaries again.

Reality seemed to blink, and within that infinitesimal moment, Azaron had already vanished, reappearing high in the sky where the Emperor stood, and without hesitation, without even a fraction of delay, he spun midair, his heel crashing into the Emperor’s jaw with a devastating, bone-shattering impact. Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor was sent hurtling downwards once again, his body tearing through the sky like a blazing comet as he crashed into the earth below, yet the moment he made contact, nothing happened, the destructive force nullified as he absorbed the energy behind the impact with precise control.

The reason he couldn’t absorb the kinetic energy behind Azaron’s attacks was painfully simple, they were far too fast, far beyond his perception, far beyond his ability to react, he couldn’t keep up, all he could register was pain, wave after wave of pure pain that battered his senses without mercy.

The moment his feet touched the ground once more, Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor’s presence erupted violently, a thunderous surge of force bursting outward as he gathered every single fragment of energy he had absorbed, every reserve of power within his body, compressing it, refining it, forcing it into a single, concentrated point as he prepared to unleash it all at once.

”DIE!!!” he shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice tearing through the battlefield as he punched outward towards Azaron, who now stood directly before him.

Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor had lost himself in that moment, consumed by despair and desperation, as a Crownstar Life Ranker, the sheer amount of energy he could absorb and store due to his bloodline was beyond immense, it was unfathomable, beyond what most could even begin to comprehend, if he chose to release it all, he could erase the Empire entirely, reducing everything to nothingness without leaving so much as a trace behind.

And that was exactly what this attack aimed to do.

An enormous, unquantifiable mass of energy erupted outward, expanding like a catastrophic tsunami of pure destruction, it did not merely target Azaron, it targeted everything, stretching far beyond him, space itself fractured and shattered under the pressure, sound ceased to exist entirely, colors were stripped away from reality, existence itself began to collapse as Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor unleashed everything he had in a single, all-consuming attack that, if Azaron chose not to defend against it, would force him to bleed for the first time in decades.

Seeing the Empire-razing storm of energy surging towards him, Azaron remained completely unbothered, he could have simply stepped aside, dodged it effortlessly, and let it pass, but there were countless citizens who could feel the shockwaves of their battle from thousands of kilometres away, perhaps even millions, and if this attack were to reach them, they would be erased without exception, even his own people within the Wargrave Ducal territory would not be spared from such annihilation.

Although Yveric’s Word Law ability was capable of handling something of this scale, it was better not to leave things to chance, after all, even if he never spoke it aloud, Azaron held his citizens close to his heart.

”You truly are pathetic to the end, Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor,” he stated calmly.

His Astra energy surged violently through his Astra veins like never before, surpassing even the intensity he had displayed during his battle with Valentine, this moment demanded more. With a single thought, his Nebula affinity responded, and within its many facets lay the Void, without hesitation, without delay, Azaron called upon it, and in response, the Void answered.

A pitch-black, devouring nothingness expanded into reality, spreading outward like a presence summoned from the deepest abyss, the moment it manifested, it devoured everything, light, air, oxygen, molecules, space, time, it consumed, it erased, it nullified, Emperor Zolthemir Lux Vanthelmor’s all-out attack collided with it directly, yet there was no resistance, no struggle, no clash of opposing forces, the Void simply swallowed it whole, as it did with everything else that dared to exist within its reach.

Chunks of molten earth, shattered stone, broken landscapes, everything began to tear free from its place, dragged irresistibly towards the ever-expanding Void, yet just before it could continue further, it stopped, halted completely under Azaron’s precise and absolute control, for he had summoned it, and he alone dictated its will.

With the energy fully consumed, Azaron had no further use for it, and with a single thought, the vast nothingness receded, withdrawing back to wherever it had come from, light returned, fractured space repaired itself, reality stabilized as though nothing had happened.

And with that, silence once again descended upon the battlefield, heavy, suffocating, absolute, as though even existence itself needed a moment to recover from the sheer magnitude of what had just unfolded.
