Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Too bad I’m also a girl, otherwise if we slept together at night, I’d definitely take the initiative.

Su Yu chuckled, ”Thank you for letting me stay at your place. As a token of appreciation for your kindness, I have prepared a gift for you.”

”Oh? What gift?” Wen Ruan grew interested and teased, ”Just so you know, if it’s too cheap, I don’t want it.”

”Relax, it’s definitely substantial. I’m planning to transfer all of my personal holdings, that 8% of the shares from Star Cloud International Group, into your name.”

Wen Ruan was about to take a sip of water when her movements suddenly paused.

She blinked her charming peach blossom eyes, and then burst into laughter, ”Haha! Well then! I won’t be polite. Given Star Cloud’s current valuation, this 8% is worth at least a billion, right? Thanks for the meal, superstar. From now on, I’m yours. To hell with Song, I’m sticking with you!”

She didn’t take it seriously at all, thinking Su Yu was joking, considering the amount was too exaggerated.

However, on the other end of the phone, Su Yu suddenly became serious, ”Wen Ruan, I’m serious. Lawyer Robin will personally arrange and coordinate with you. It’s not just me; Miss Ouyang will also transfer her secretly held 5.1% to you. Remember to thank her with a call later. If possible, it’s better to thank her in person.”

Su Yu paused, her voice carrying a hint of playfulness, ”As for Jin Meixiao, she has quite a bit too, probably around 11%. I guess for decency’s sake, she’ll actively give it to you as well.”

”Boom—”

The bottle in Wen Ruan’s hand slipped and crashed heavily onto the carpet.

”Hey, hey, hey! Superstar, you’re... you’re not joking, are you?!”

Her voice was trembling.

”Of course it’s true.”

”This... this is too outrageous, isn’t it? Let me catch my breath... Wait... why?” Wen Ruan instinctively shrunk her neck, ”You all... you’re not making me take some huge fall, are you?”

”A huge fall?” Su Yu’s sultry voice showed a hint of confusion, then explained, ”Star Cloud International Group’s internationalization strategy is about to commence, and to meet stricter overseas compliance audits and capital market requirements, Miss Ouyang suggested that the equity needs to be streamlined. Gathering scattered shares towards the core management helps with company governance...”

Su Yu’s voice continued, but Wen Ruan was already somewhat hard to hear it clearly.

She of course was aware that Star Cloud was about to start the listing process and knew that equity needed to be clarified.

But she never expected Su Yu and Ouyang Xianyue would give the shares to her freely.

8%...5.1%... Plus Chairman Jin’s 11%...

If all these shares really concentrated in her hands, she would hold over 40% of the shares.

Even if later on for acquisitions of overseas business and introduction of strategic investments the shares get diluted, she would definitely be the absolute controlling major shareholder of this soon-to-list company.

The major shareholder of an entertainment media conglomerate with an estimated market value of hundreds of billions.

Wen Ruan felt her heart racing, her ample chest heaving violently.

Her brain fell into a mess, blank from the immense amount of sudden information.

She didn’t even remember how she hung up the phone.

Only vaguely recalled Su Yu giving her a flying kiss through the receiver before hanging up.

...

After who knows how long, the phone rang again.

[Chairman Jin]

”Crap!!!”

(ΩДΩ)

When she saw those two words bouncing on the screen, she jolted and suddenly sat up from the sofa.

Her eyelids started twitching madly, she took several deep breaths and slapped her face hard before answering the phone.

”Hello? Chairman Jin, good evening.”

”Good evening, Wen Ruan.” Secretary Jin’s voice carried a faint smile, ”Have you eaten?”

”No, no, I just finished working out.”

”Hehe, no wonder you have such a good figure, very disciplined.”

”You’re too kind, it’s just a habit.”

The two exchanged a few pleasantries.

Secretary Jin said nonchalantly, ”Regarding the matter of share consolidation for Star Cloud International Group, has anyone contacted you?”

Wen Ruan’s heart rose, ”Uh... Yes, Su Yu just called me.”

”Hehe, she’s still so petty, quick on action, though,” Secretary Jin casually remarked, then continued, ”But Ouyang is right this time. Since Tang Song intends to cultivate you into a core position in the media field, the shares naturally need to be more concentrated to facilitate things.”

”Chairman Jin... It’s not necessary! I...”

”Alright, the matter’s already been decided,” Secretary Jin interrupted, then suddenly changed the topic, ”Oh, there’s one more thing, consider it an early surprise from Tang Song.”

”Wha—what surprise?” Wen Ruan’s heart was prompted again.

”As the future actual controller of Star Cloud International Group, your resume seems a bit thin. So, he arranged a new identity for you, an academic visitor at a prestigious school.”

Upon hearing this, Wen Ruan’s heart skipped a beat, her brain flushed with heat.

”Academic visitor”—for ordinary people, it might just be an academic title.

But Wen Ruan was well aware of its significance and prestige.

Especially when it’s attached to the likes of ”Oxford” or ”Cambridge,” world-renowned universities.

That means.

Her name will from now on appear in the archives of top global academic institutions;

Means that whether in media reports, project profiles, or company annual reports, there will be that gleaming title line appended;

Means that whenever she attends international conferences, or is interviewed by any financial magazine, she can introduce herself as an ”academic visitor.”
