Chaotic Sword God

Chapter 3845: The Cloaked Old Man

At this moment, the god artifact that Jian Chen wielded was the high quality God Tier sword from the Wukun Master, the Heaven-lifting sword. Apart from the twin swords, it was the strongest sword Jian Chen had wielded so far. When the Heaven-lifting sword pierced the great elder’s forehead, a tremendous might filled his soul, instantly obliterating it.

In an instant, an Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor great elder of the Wind clan had perished, unable to fight back or put up a struggle.

Jian Chen’s battle prowess was already extraordinary. In the past, he was unrivalled among Immortal Emperors with only a medium quality God Tier sword. Now that he had switched his weapon to an even stronger high quality God Tier sword, it was overkill. His battle prowess skyrocketed.

Coupled with a surprise attack, killing an Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor was obviously a piece of cake. It was effortless.

Only the Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor remained, but he was frightened out of his wits. He gazed at the glowing Heaven-lifting sword that had pierced his companion’s head in shock. His eyes were slightly dazed and filled with fright.

Everything occurred far too quickly. In the blink of an eye, his stronger companion had perished. It had a tremendous impact on him.

“W-w-who are you?” the Seventh Heavenly Layer great elder asked subconsciously. His face was filled with fear as his voice trembled.

However, he seemed to realise that the situation was against him after saying that. Without any hesitation or any regards for his deceased companion, he turned around and fled desperately into the distance.

Someone who moved against a great elder of the Wind clan was without a doubt an enemy of the Wind clan. The great strength capable of instantly killing an Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor had also completely obliterated all thoughts of resisting.

The only option that lingered in the Seventh Heavenly Layer great elder’s mind was to flee from this place and reunite with the Immortal Exalt ancestor who entered the Skyscraping World.

However, despite his speed, he was as slow as a snail compared to Jian Chen who grasped the Laws of Space.

Jian Chen drew out the Heaven-lifting sword steadily and casually took a step like he was going on a stroll. In the next moment, he seemed to teleport silently in front of the fleeing Immortal Emperor.

The Seventh Heavenly Layer great elder’s expression changed drastically. He immediately stopped, almost directly running into Jian Chen. He looked at him fearfully and cried out frantically, “Fellow Yang Yutian, I am a great elder of the Wind clan. How has our Wind clan provoked you?”

“You don’t need to know that. All you need to know is that everyone from the Wind clan who entered the Skyscraping World can forget about leaving,” Jian Chen said emotionlessly. Killing intent surged in his eyes as the Heaven-lifting sword erupted with light, turning into a silvery-white streak that swept out.

The great elder from the Wind clan narrowed his eyes. In the blinding light, a medium quality god artifact armour covered his body. A curved blade appeared in his hand; the Laws of Wind revolved around it, slashing out like a bolt of lightning.

Ding!

The Heaven-lifting sword and the curved blade collided. With the crisp sound of colliding metal, the curved blade was cut into two. Then the Heaven-lifting sword continued onwards. The pressure of a high quality god artifact filled the surroundings, slashing towards the great elder’s chest with dazzling light.

It first made contact with the medium quality god artifact armour on the great elder, but the various defences from the armour seemed fragile before the Heaven-lifting sword. It tore through all of the defences like it was unstoppable, slashing the medium quality god artifact armour into two like it was a piece of paper.

Without the protection of the god artifact, the great elder from the Wind clan’s body was feeble. Along his chest, he was cut into two.

Ever since he wielded the Heaven-lifting sword, Jian Chen’s overall battle prowess had risen to an entirely new level. It became even easier for him to deal with Immortal Emperors.

Of course, there was another important reason. Jian Chen’s cultivation had not increased in any evident way, but his consolidation over the years did not come without benefits. In particular, after comprehending the imprint of the Way of the Sword left behind by the Skyscraping Sword Venerable in the Skyscraping World, his usage and grasp over the Way of the Sword even exceeded the past.

The Seventh Heavenly Layer great elder did not perish. His eyes were filled with deep fear, abandoning his body without any hesitation. A ball of blinding light, his soul, fled from his body.

This was the soul of a Seventh Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor. It was extremely well-formed and firm, shining brightly like a star.

But in the next moment, a layer of invisible fire seemed to spring forth from his soul. At the cost of igniting his soul, he obtained unparalleled speed in an attempt to flee from this danger.

Swish! A streak of light shot over and struck his soul. His soul exploded, dissipating in the wind.

The second great elder from the Wind clan had also perished.

In less than five seconds, a Seventh Heavenly Layer and an Eighth Heavenly Layer Immortal Emperor had perished like this in the Skyscraping World, unable to resist at all.

“It won’t be long before that Immortal Exalt ancestor of the Wind clan follows in your steps too.” Jian Chen looked at the corpses of the two Immortal Emperors indifferently. Shortly afterwards, he reached out, and their Space Rings immediately ended up in his hands.

He rummaged through the Space Rings before finding a precious jade box. He opened it up. Sure enough, the Divine Fruit of Yin Gales lay inside.

After pausing his gaze on the Divine Fruit of Yin Gales for a moment, Jian Chen’s lips gradually turned into a smile. He murmured, “Wind clan of the Fierce Gales Heaven, this… is only the beginning…”

At this moment, Jian Chen seemed to sense something and turned around.

In the thick mist, a dark figure quickly drifted over, radiating dimly with the might of an Immortal Exalt.

But very soon, the dark figure seemed to sense the abnormal situation here. After a pause, it suddenly accelerated, arriving several kilometres away from Jian Chen in a flash.

He was a person covered in a cloak. The presence he gave off had already reached the Third Heavenly Layer of Immortal Exalt.

Jian Chen was not unfamiliar with him. He was the cloaked old man who had ignored him in disdain.

“Hmm? It’s actually you?” the cloaked old man said in a hoarse voice as if he was slightly surprised. Shortly afterwards, he turned his gaze hidden within the great cloak towards the corpses of the two great elders from the Wind clan and said in surprise, “Yang Yutian, you killed these two? They’re from the Wind clan, and they possess great authority. Aren’t you worried about revenge from the Wind clan? The Mistress of Contrary Winds from the Wind clan is not someone to be trifled with.”
