Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 307: Chapter 305:”That... is your answer.”

It felt like the wind had gone still as everyone stared at me in dumbfounded shock.

”You... what did you do?” The old hag’s voice came out confused.

”Me?” I shrugged.

”I didn’t do anything.” I waved the severed arm around for emphasis,

”His body just decided to call it quits. That’s all.”

A sudden wave of killing intent gripped me as the armored man, Zebediah, appeared before me,

”You....”

”Cool armor, old man, but...” My eyes turned cold ”... I’ll need you to back up a bit, you’re crowding my space a little too much.”

It seemed his body recognized the danger as he took an instinctive step back before even realizing it, yet the moment he did, his face twisted and an aura of one in the Law Integration Stage erupted outwards, twisting and churning the atmosphere-

”Yea. No. We don’t do that around here.” At a single thought, the phenomena died off before it could even hold any weight.

”What did you....”

BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

A solid fist connected with my face as my figure was sent flying into the distance.

BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

A distant explosion going off as my silhouette reappeared within the skyline.

”DIEEEEEE!!!!” Darius’ furious voice echoed like Thunder as a massive draconic claw came down on my suspended form, before,

BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!

The claw planted me clean into the earth.

The moment the phantom dragon claw disappeared, a broken, battered wreck appeared, almost breathless and dead.

””DANTEEEEEEE!!!!!!!”” Clarissa and Mira screamed in fright.

”Yes? Why are you screaming? I’m right beside you.”

......

......

I could feel the air be sucked out of the environment as everyone turned mechanically towards the sound of my voice.

”Yo! You really did a number on him, huh? I wonder why you’re so upset?” I asked, still resting the severed arm on my shoulder, as I stood casually beside Mira.

The crowd stared.

Then turned to the figure within the massive crater, only to see it collapse and fissure into golden notes of light.

”Ho.. how?” Mira’s stunned voice and face were honestly quite cute in situations like these.

”Hmm? Oh that? He looked itchy so I decided to help him out.” Saying so, I waved my hand and another dozen clones appeared.

They weren’t true clones, merely puppets with no ounce of my power within them, but they made for good punching bags.

”There’s still more where that came from if you’re not satisfied.” I pointed at the clones, addressing Darius whose face had gone grim.

”How did you do that?” He asked, finally restraining his rage.

”Hmmm? I just explained it didn’t I? Mira, your future husband is pretty dumb isn’t he?”

”He’s NOT! My husband!”

”Right. Right. Poison testing, I forgot.” Smacking my head in realization, I turned towards Darius.

”Hey, dude. You should try a little bit harder, being dumb is ruining your chances with her, look. She’s even denying you in public now... haaa.” I sighed, shaking my head.

”That other little bitch would’ve been a better choice, at least he had some spine, unlike you, being all reserved after watching your brother get erased. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Too bad he can’t do shit anymore.” I pointed the severed arm at him, sighing dramatically.

The entire Draken group had their expressions go dark at what they probably presumed was mockery.

”Claire. What is the meaning of this.” Zebediah, The armored man, spoke up grimly.

”I will prefer if you keep your tone respectful, Zebediah, this isn’t your family grounds where you can speak carelessly.” Mira’s mother’s voice had gone stone cold.

”Damn! That’s right! Mother-in-law! You tell him!” I cheered, waving the arm in the air.

”Mo... mother-in-law?” Mira’s stunned voice snapped me out of my excitement.

”What? You obviously aren’t going for that fucker over there, so why not take my chance?” I winked.

”DANTEEEEE!!!!!!”

”Bitch. Stop shouting! That’s all you’ve been doing. If you’re going to make a move, then do it, my clones are getting restless.” I pointed at the still motionless clones, goading him on.

”Matriarch Claire. Once again, I ask you, what is the meaning of this?” The armored dude seemed hell bent on getting an explanation.

”Young zed. Calm your fury.” The aged voice of the old hag finally sounded out as she stood from her kneeling position, regaining some form of composure.

”Elder Helena. My young master was just murdered in cold blood on your family grounds, and you say I should quell my fury? Do you not put my Draken family in your eyes? Or have we been so quiet that you believe us clawless lizards?”

”Pfft....” I almost burst out laughing again, but I held back this time.

”And you! You think this is funny? Do you know what you just did?”

”I squashed a bug.” My cold voice silenced the man immediately.

”I squashed a bug in front of his spineless entourage.” The entire clearing had suddenly gone quiet as my presence filled the air.

”I squashed a bug that dared present himself before me, after I explicitly made it clear the first time that there won’t be a next.”

I took a step, coming to a stop right behind Mira, my form casting a shadow over hers as I leveled the group with a dead stare.

”I squashed a bug who believed his snake of a father and simp of a brother would be able to get him out of every foolish situation he puts himself in.”

”That is all.”

I looked down at the arm resting on my shoulder.

”Ah.”

”Almost forgot.”

I tossed it behind me without another glance.

Thud.

”That is all he amounts to.”

”Nothing but a bug beneath my feet.”

”You...”

”You come here. Parading yourselves like some high and mighty force, yet you only watch and ask for explanations when one of you is killed right in your presence.”

”This is the family my father came from?”

”This is the family Aunt Raven had claimed to be powerful?”

”This is the family that dared disparage my mother’s love for father?”

”Weak!”

For a moment, my voice sounded eerily similar to that of the one belonging to the eyes I’d seen in that darkness, but I didn’t have the mind to dwell on it because, I was suddenly very angry.

”Dragon son? Heir to the draken ancient family?”

”Pathetic.”

”Just like your snake of a father, who could only hide and scheme and slave for others, you are..”

”Weak. Spineless. Pathetic. Useless.”

”That is all you are.”

”You dare...” Darius growled. His aura flaring as a clash erupted between our opposing presence.

”Oh. I dare. Very much so.”

”All you’re capable of, all you’re worth, is posturing and making demands of a woman that has already been claimed. A pathetic attempt at a show of dominance. That’s all it is.”

”What?”

”Heh! You didn’t know?” A feral smile appeared on my face as I wrapped an arm around Mira, turning her around, pulling her body flush against mine.

”He.. hey..” her weak protests went unanswered as her body went limp in my embrace.

”Let. Her. Go.”

”You say you want answers. Well let me give you one.”

”Don’t. You. Dare.”

Ignoring the bubbling Darius.

I looked down.

Mira’s emerald green eyes were looking at me, surprise and confusion clear within them.

Not giving her any chance to speak, I closed the distance between us as our lips met in a tender and passionate kiss.

She froze for the briefest instant before melting into the kiss almost unconsciously.

......

Our eyes locked in a single tender moment as we separated, heavy breaths mingling, as I stood, pulling her even closer, before raising my head and addressing the now raging figure of Darius.

”There.”

”That... is your answer.”

.....

.....

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

And all hell broke loose.

A/N: I know a lot of y’all have been waiting. But, it’s finally here. Time for some proper Darius humbling.

Oh, and to clear up any confusion, Dante and Mira haven’t gotten intimate yet, they only did just bathe together in the bathroom, with some sneaky touches here and there, but this would officially be their first kiss, so, Let’s go, and as always,
