Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 933: Since That’s the Case, I Won’t Be Polite

Under Lin Moyu’s perception, the star system was filled with a rich life aura. Lin

Many of these were human life auras, while the rest were special lifeforms.

With the Undying Law flickering in his eyes, he scanned the starry sky.

Different life auras were clearly distinguishable in Lin Moyu’s perception.

They were like different colored light spots, easily identifiable in the starry sky.

Excluding the human cultivators, he locked onto the nearest special lifeform.

It was about ten thousand kilometers away, on a star fragment with a diameter of less than a hundred meters.

With a flap of his Undead Wings, his soul power surged as he flew over.

Ten thousand kilometers was not far; in the scale of the great world’s starry sky, it was very close.

In just a moment, Lin Moyu arrived at the location.

He saw the special lifeform.

It looked like a transparent film, enveloping the star fragment.

The star fragment was slowly shrinking as it was being devoured by the lifeform.

It emitted the aura of a super god sixth tier, which, according to the task information, was the weakest of the special lifeforms here.

With a light touch of his finger, a detection spell fell on it.

**[Starlight Mist Spirit]**

**[Level: Super God]**

**[Characteristics: A special lifeform created by the interweaving laws of starlight, possessing strong vitality but relatively weak attack power.]**

Lin Moyu’s heart stirred, and a few Skeleton God Generals appeared in front of him.

Several massive sword energies slashed through the starry sky, and the Starlight Mist Spirit let out a squeak as it was torn to pieces by the sword energy.

In the next second, the starlight shone down, and the shattered body quickly began to regenerate.

The starlight acted like threads, weaving the Starlight Mist Spirit’s broken body back together.

Lin Moyu’s heart moved, and the Skeleton God Generals were imbued with the Undying Law.

Even with just one percent of the law, it significantly enhanced the Skeleton God Generals’ combat power.

Several more sword energies were unleashed, this time with an additional layer of gray-white color.

The sword energies once again tore the Starlight Mist Spirit’s body apart.

This time, the sword energies carried the death power of the Undying Law, corroding its body.

The starlight shining down lost its effect and could no longer heal its wounds.

Moreover, the Undying Law caused the wounds to rapidly expand, and the corrosion deepened.

The Starlight Mist Spirit’s body was dismembered by the sword energies, but it did not die.

As the starlight lost its healing effect, the Starlight Mist Spirit’s body began to shine brilliantly, and intense starlight burst from its wounds, forcibly reconnecting the shattered parts.

It looked like a large piece of cloth, clearly torn but still barely holding together. The shattered Mist Spirit, with a scream, lunged at Lin Moyu, its starlight turning into its weapon.

Thin beams of starlight shot towards Lin Moyu and the Skeleton God Generals.

The attack power was not strong; the super god sixth tier Starlight Mist Spirit’s attack power barely reached the standard of a super god fifth tier. The Skeleton God Generals ignored its attacks, and Lin Moyu ignored them even more.

The Skeleton God Generals continuously slashed with their sword energies, shattering it into pieces.

Finally, even the starlight dimmed, unable to maintain the connection, and it exploded under the dense sword energies.

The Starlight Mist Spirit died, turning into a cluster of starlight, shining brilliantly in the starry sky for a full ten seconds.

In the end, only a fist-sized crystal ball remained.

This was the crystal core left by the Mist Spirit, the item required for the task.

A detection spell fell on the crystal core.

**[Starlight Crystal Core: Contains the laws of starlight, can be used to comprehend the laws or to craft items.]**

Lin Moyu held the Starlight Crystal Core, his eyes flickering.

He understood why the task specified not to cause major damage to the star system.

This non-life star system was essentially a production factory for Starlight Crystal Cores.

The star system would continuously produce Starlight Mist Spirits, and cultivators would take on tasks to eliminate them and obtain the crystal cores. Task completion would earn them points, which could be used to purchase various items.

The submitted crystal cores could be used to comprehend the laws of starlight or to craft items.

“A win-win situation!”

Lin Moyu smiled slightly, put away the Starlight Crystal Core, and quickly flew towards the next target.

The Starlight Mist Spirits indeed had strong vitality; ordinary attacks, even if they shattered them, could hardly kill them.

Their bodies were mostly composed of the laws of starlight, giving them strong regenerative abilities.

Even if shattered, they could recover given some time.

One must use laws to completely erase the starlight laws within them.

But doing so would require more effort.

However, for Lin Moyu, it seemed very simple.

Dozens or even hundreds of Skeleton God Generals swarmed, each taking a turn, quickly tearing the Starlight Mist Spirits apart.

Lin Moyu moved from one to the next, killing five or six in just half an hour.

At this rate, he could complete the task in just half a day.

But Lin Moyu was not satisfied with this speed.

For him, killing the Starlight Mist Spirits was quick; the most time-consuming part was finding them.

The star system had many star fragments, some of which housed Starlight Mist Spirits.

The ones he had killed were all found on star fragments, and all were super god sixth tier.

They were very easy to kill.

“If only I could find a group of Starlight Mist Spirits…”

Lin Moyu pondered, the Undying Law rising in his eyes as he began searching.

Soon, he saw a large number of Starlight Mist Spirits.

“Stars!”

In the star system, several large planets had many Starlight Mist Spirits.

However, there were also many cultivators on the planets.

Besides the star fragments and planets, the stars had the most Starlight Mist Spirits, but no cultivators were present.

Lin Moyu instinctively felt something was wrong.

Although stars could harm cultivators, super god eighth and ninth tier cultivators could still move freely on them.

As long as they didn’t stay too long, they would be fine.

Lin Moyu also believed that these people knew there were many Starlight Mist Spirits on the stars.

So why didn’t they go there?

There must be something strange.

After some thought, he guessed a few possibilities.

The most likely was that they would be swarmed.

The Starlight Mist Spirits on the stars were very close to each other, and attacking one could attract a group.

Even if the Starlight Mist Spirits’ attack power was weak, the quantity could lead to a qualitative change.

Moreover, the Starlight Mist Spirits had strong vitality and were hard to kill.

Once surrounded, it would be a troublesome situation.

Lin Moyu could imagine such a scenario.

Unless the cultivators on the planets joined forces, they might be able to clear the stars.

But each was focused on their own tasks, so cooperation was unlikely.

With a slight smile, he said, “Since that’s the case, I won’t be polite.”

Taking out the God-Slaying Fortress, he transformed into a streak of lightning and flew towards the nearest star.
