Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 256: Now It’s My Turn to Block the Door

The dungeon was forming, and everyone was resting in front of it.

“Sis, why do you have to enter this dungeon?” Lin Moyu asked, sitting side by side with Lin Mohan.

Lin Mohan said, “Teacher calculated that an Origin Rune would descend with starlight.”

Lin Moyu was inwardly shocked – the Origin Rune could actually be calculated?

As they spoke, Lin Mohan took out a round disc-like object.

There was a needle on the disc that always pointed towards the dungeon’s location no matter how the disc moved.

“Teacher used this treasure to calculate it,” Lin Mohan explained.

Lin Moyu’s eyes narrowed slightly. He had seen this thing before.

In a museum in his previous life, he had seen something similar.

A Bagua compass…

The treasure in Lin Mohan’s hand was indeed a Bagua compass.

The Bagua compass was covered in dense, ancient writing. Some characters were identical to the Chinese characters Lin Moyu was familiar with, while others were more complex.

The entire compass exuded an ancient aura. It seemed this object was quite old.

Lin Mohan didn’t notice Lin Moyu’s expression and said softly, “This treasure is amazing. Teacher can use it to calculate many things.”

“This time Teacher calculated the location of an Origin Rune, right here.”

The Origin Rune would descend with starlight and ultimately form a dungeon. To obtain the Origin Rune, they had to enter the dungeon.

Lin Moyu asked, “Is there only one Origin Rune?”

Lin Mohan smiled gently, “The Origin Rune is prepared for me. The seniors are just accompanying me.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “After obtaining the Origin Rune, there’s a 10-day fusion period. Those 10 days will be very dangerous.”

During the 10-day fusion period, they couldn’t leave the Eternal Battlefield. They had to face pressure from Abyss demons and the dragon race.

Lin Mohan put away the Bagua compass, a smile appearing on her pretty face. “Don’t worry, Teacher has made full preparations. As long as I can get the Origin Rune, I can complete the fusion in at most two days.”

“And at that time we’ll teleport to the edge of the Eternal Battlefield. There won’t be any danger there.”

Lin Moyu made a sound of acknowledgment.

He could imagine that Lin Mohan’s teacher must also be a god-level expert. At least someone on par with Bai Yiyuan.

Being able to calculate the whereabouts of the Origin Rune, such ability was astounding.

With a soft sound, whirlwinds arose around them.

A large amount of light in the sky was drawn in, entering the dungeon vortex.

It formed a band of light in the sky, clearly visible for hundreds of kilometers around.

The dungeon’s formation caused quite a commotion. Lin Moyu guessed it was related to the Origin Rune inside.

Other dungeons shouldn’t cause such a big disturbance when forming.

Gu Changfeng came over, his expression slightly solemn. “The commotion is too big, beyond expectations. It will probably attract quite a bit of attention.”

“Abyss demons and the dragon race may come.”

If there really was an Origin Rune in the dungeon, the first team to clear it would likely obtain it.

Of course, if unlucky, they might need to run it multiple times.

If someone cleared the dungeon first, or was lucky enough,

Then their plan would fail.

Lin Mohan’s voice deepened, carrying a heroic air, “No matter what, we have the advantage of being first. Let’s enter the dungeon now.”

“Little Yu, you should leave quickly. Many Abyss demons and dragon race career holders may come soon.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Sister, you enter the dungeon first.”

Lin Mohan made a sound of agreement, “Take care of yourself.”

After saying this, Lin Mohan and the others quickly entered the dungeon.

Lin Moyu sensed the dungeon.

[Blood Source] dungeon.

There was no difficulty to choose.

Like other dungeons in the Eternal Battlefield, there were no level requirements.

Anyone could enter.

Of course, they were responsible for their own life and death.

“Don’t worry, the Origin Rune will definitely be yours.”

“With me here, no one will disturb you.”

Lin Moyu said softly. He didn’t leave, but guarded the dungeon entrance.

Two undead armies appeared, with skeletons surrounding the dungeon entrance.

At this moment, Lin Moyu was blocking the door.

Lin Moyu smiled self-mockingly.

Once it was the Dynasty Guild blocking dungeon doors. He never thought he’d do the same one day.

Sure enough, soon a team of dragon race career holders flew over.

They saw the dungeon entrance from far away.

The flowing light in the sky hadn’t completely disappeared. A band of light could be seen continuously flowing from the sky into the dungeon.

The light in the sky was the source of power for the Eternal Battlefield.

This unusual phenomenon indicated this dungeon was extraordinary.

But seeing the dense skeletons on the ground,

The arriving dragon race career holders felt a bit nervous. There were too many skeletons.

“What are you afraid of? They’re only level 31.”

“Their attributes are pitifully low. I can kill a bunch of these skeletons with one skill.”

“Then try it.”

A dragon race mage raised his staff.

Skill: Heavenly Fire Meteor!

A huge meteor smashed down from the sky.

The skeleton warriors scattered in a flash, quickly fleeing.

The meteor crashed to the ground, hitting nothing.

The skeletons ran away, clearing the dungeon entrance.

“Haha! I told you these skeletons are useless. They all ran away!”

“Then let’s charge in and enter the dungeon. More people will probably come soon.”

The dragon race knight led the way in front as the team charged down.

Lin Moyu walked over from the side at this time, standing steadily at the dungeon entrance.

Seeing Lin Moyu, the dragon race knight laughed loudly, “A level 31 human brat actually dares to block the door. Are you tired of living?”

“Fine, let’s kill a human before entering the dungeon.”

“These skeletons are yours, right? All show and no substance. What use is quantity? Only strength matters!”

Lin Moyu muttered, “Are all dragon race people this talkative?”

The dragon race knight activated a skill in mid-air.

Skill: Charge!

The standard knight skill. His speed suddenly increased as he violently crashed into Lin Moyu.

With his level 56 attributes, under the Charge skill, the impact force was immense.

He believed Lin Moyu would definitely be smashed to pieces.

He was prepared to enjoy the sight of blood and flesh flying.

Bang!

With a huge impact sound, the dragon race knight was sent flying back at an even faster speed.

The Bone Armor in front of Lin Moyu only flickered slightly, not moving an inch.

This little attack power was too weak.

As the knight was sent flying, the dragon race career holders following behind changed expression and hurriedly tried to stop.

But it was too late.

Red light flashed as Slow Curse descended.

The skeletons that had scattered earlier ran back at lightning speed, leaping high into the air tens of meters to forcibly drag them down from the sky.

“If you didn’t come down, I really wouldn’t have a way to deal with you,” Lin Moyu said softly.

The dragon race knight who had been sent flying crashed heavily to the ground, instantly surrounded by skeletons.

Soul Flame burned fiercely, aimed at the casters in the dragon race team.

Lin Moyu’s actions were smooth and fluid, cutting off all their possibilities of escape or counterattack.

He had killed too many dragon race like this, gaining plenty of experience.

With Soul Flame plus the skeletons’ attacks, the dragon race support couldn’t even cast healing skills.

The knight had been sent flying far away and couldn’t come to support.

He only lasted two seconds.

The moment he died, Damage Curse replaced Slow Curse.

Boom!

In the explosion, all except the dragon race knight were killed.

Without healing support, the dragon race knight only held on for 30 seconds.

Once his ultimate defense passed, his life also came to an end.

In less than a minute, this dragon race team was wiped out.

The skeletons dragged their corpses back, placing them behind the dungeon.

Lin Moyu thought for a moment, then put away the undead army.

He only left two skeletons, while he continued standing at the dungeon entrance, blocking the door.

Just two minutes later, another dragon race team arrived.

This time it was much simpler. One skeleton threw the corpse of the previous dragon race knight high into the air.

Damage Curse combined with Corpse Explosion.

This dragon race team was killed without even making a sound.

Corpses fell from the sky like raindrops.

The skeletons continued dragging the corpses behind the dungeon to hide them.

Lin Moyu said calmly, “You should fly higher. If you fly too low, I can blast you.”

At level 4, Corpse Explosion had a blast radius of 160 meters and a detonation range of 400 meters.

To avoid being hit, they needed to maintain at least 500 meters distance.

Generally, neither the dragon race nor Abyss demons would fly that high.

Flying too high made it difficult for them to observe targets on the ground.

Not flying high enough became their death warrant.
