As soon as I arrived by the swarm’s side, all of the Truevils began to stare at me, completely ignoring Scar or Cloud Prowler. As I prepared to use my soul pupils on them to figure out if they were themselves, I heard it, the noise that only Cloud Prowler seemed to hear.

The noise instantly triggered something primal deep within me, and soon I lost control of my body. It began to unwind, each cell began to transform, my body began to grow wider and taller, revealing my thousands of head, arms, and legs that kept growing bigger and bigger in size as every cell in my body began to transform into something not human, not Viltronaian, or Celestial, but World Calamity Tree.

Right in the middle of the ocean of lava, before a swarm of Truevils, I stood in my World Calamity Tree form as I finally regained control of my body. And that was when I realized what had brought so many Truevils together without even having to use my soul pupils on them. They had all been implanted with Daughter Seeds, turning their cores into Daughter Cores.

Learning this, a chill ran down my spine, because only a Ruler-class Calamity Daughter Seed would be able to infect a Ruler-class Unholy Core. Which meant that somewhere in this realm, there was a Ruler-class World Calamity Tree, and it already had subdued hundreds of thousands of Truevils, and maybe more.

Now I knew the goal of the swarm of Truevils was to spread wide and bring food or more victims to the World Calamity Tree.

As for why they didn’t attack Cloud Prowler, it was because as they neared it, they smelled my Calamity Daughter Gem inside it and stopped before they committed friendly fire, I suppose.

I had no idea why they chose not to attack after sensing my Calamity Daughter Gem inside the Cloud Prowler, as there were no records of two World Calamity Trees appearing in a realm at the same time.

They appeared to be communicating with Scar and Cloud Prowler because they mistook the Bloodkins for an actual World Calamity Tree, but they weren’t. Therefore, they weren’t able to answer the call of the World Calamity Tree trying to communicate through the Truevil, with the exception of Cloud Prowler, who, much like domestic animals, had superior senses compared to the Truevil, Scar, or the Hive Spirit that was within Cloud Prowler, yet it couldn’t hear it.

Yes, the Hive Spirit, despite using the Cloud Prowler’s senses and memories, still couldn’t hear those noises. Even now, as I asked it to analyze the noise that forced me to transform into my true World Calamity Tree form, it asked what sound, despite the noise being in my memories. It simply didn’t seem to be able to detect it.

Meanwhile, I stood there as the other World Calamity Tree was trying to communicate with me.

Trying?

Because I had shut off all my senses so that I wouldn’t be able to hear it until I figured out how it was able to force me into involuntarily taking my World Calamity Tree Form with mere noise.

Who knows what else it was capable of getting me to do? And I honestly didn’t believe that the World Calamity Tree was my friend.

Why?

Just like how a thief was the most afraid of being robbed, I was most afraid of being forced into eternal servitude by the Ruler-class World Calamity Tree.

However, there was another, even bigger problem weighing on my mind.

How did a World Calamity Tree that was believed to be hunted to extinction throughout the myriad realms appear on this realm and was able to grow to the Ruler-class realm without being detected by the Mulias Royal Family, who basically owned and maintained this realm?

The more I thought about it, the more convinced I became that there was a bigger conspiracy afoot here.

And the fact that nothing I tried seemed to help me return to my original form or any other form than the World Calamity Tree form made me panic to high heavens.

Yes, not even my reconstruction or Myriad Devil Transformation skill was able to help me morph into any other form but this.

Desperate, I asked Scar to tear off the cell that had my true Calamity Soul Gem from my massive World Calamity Tree form, such that I could reconstruct a new body in any other form than my World Calamity Tree form.

However, I was going nowhere. Every time I tried, I regrew as a World Calamity Tree. It was beginning to appear that it was beyond my control, which was triggering to me considering I took pride in being able to control every cell in my body, but now I seemed to be incapable of that.

It wasn’t just my form. I was getting nowhere trying to decipher the noise that turned me into a World Calamity Tree against my will and continued to keep me trapped in this form.

I was a World Calamity Tree too, so how come I wasn’t able to understand the noise but hear it? What the heck was I missing? I had half a mind to unseal my senses and listen to what the World Calamity Tree was trying to communicate with me. However, I controlled myself, as it was simply too risky.

With no choice left, I asked Scar to hide me in Shell Island. I had a feeling whoever was behind sowing and nurturing the World Calamity Tree in this realm might be keeping tabs on the Tree and its Daughter Cores. They would be the worst people to know about my hybrid secret.

Soon, Scar carried a cell of mine to Shell Island before it grew into a massive tree, having stored all of the other World Calamity Tree form corpses of mine in my dimension space.
