Chapter 2991: Perfect Half Bloods – III

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Dark Realm, Gelid Alps, Snow Elven Region, High Snow District, Snow Capital, Underground Prison

Tracing the trajectory of the planar tremors, they knew instantly it was originating from the Frosell District. The realization hit them with the force of a physical blow: the Froslings’ blood covenant was not with the Snow Elves. It was with someone else entirely. Someone incredibly powerful, who could not only face the full might of the Snow Elves on their own territory but successfully extract and free an entire race from their iron grasp.

Realizing this, the half-bloods saw a genuine glimmer of hope for the first time in their miserable existences.

If the Froslings were escaping, then maybe—just maybe—the half-bloods could leave with them. They were bound by the same blood covenant, after all. But to achieve that, they had to make the Froslings or their new, mysterious master aware of their existence and their current arrangements.

They knew with absolute certainty that the Snow Elves would never let them go willingly. They were the empire’s supreme weapons, its secret hoarded wealth. But the hybrids had never possessed hope before today. Now that they had a spark, they fully planned to chase it to the very end. After all, what did they have to lose? This dark, frozen cage wasn’t going anywhere; it would always be here waiting for them if they failed. They might as well risk everything to break the sky.

With such resolve, their scorched figures worked through the agonizing pain and stood up. One by one, a thousand Semi-Ruler class powerhouses defied the spiritual fire burning within them, their eyes locked on a singular target: the massive, rune-carved glacial pillar nearest to them, which served as the primary anchor for the suppression array.

Together, they channeled every ounce of their remaining rule-force and Forsell’s Blessing.

With a unified, thunderous roar, a thousand Semi-Ruler class devils unleashed their full physical might directly at the foundation of the pillar, going against the array’s constraints and punishment. The collective impact was cataclysmic. The absolute-zero barriers shattered like glass, and the toxic purple runes covering the ceiling violently fractured, sending a cascading backlash of mana rippling back through the control pedestal.

CRACK!

Deep, jagged fissures tore through the monumental ice pillar. The structural foundation of the subterranean cage groaned under the sheer kinetic weight of a thousand desperate wills. As long as this single anchor came completely crashing down, the automated lockdown would fail, and they would finally be free to thrust their essence into the planar void, announcing their existence to the entire Dark Realm!

As for the consequences of doing such a reckless thing, they didn’t care. They didn’t have the luxury or the time to think that far ahead.

With one of the primary pillars shattered, the oppressive suppression of the array instantly weakened. For the half-bloods—who had already been defying the punishment of the complete array through sheer, unadulterated will—this sudden drop in pressure was like finding a cascading oasis in the middle of a barren desert.

With newfound hope burning in their chests, they didn’t pause to catch their breath. They immediately pivoted, redirecting their unified, crushing strikes toward the next pillar, and then the next.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With every structural anchor that cracked and crumbled, they could feel the suffocating restrictions on their bodies unraveling. Piece by piece, their absolute control over their own divinity and soul energy came rushing back. No longer did they have to rely solely on their raw physical prowess; no longer did they have to work through the grueling, agonizing pain with nothing but stubborn will.

The moment they reclaimed even a hint of control over their high-tier divinity, a torrent of pure Semi-Ruler class energy erupted within the cavern. They immediately used it to patch up their scorched flesh, knitting their wounds and stabilizing their fractured souls in a matter of seconds.

They didn’t wait for their fellows, they rushed, before the sadistic warden could return from his break, they ignited their newly liberated auras and flew straight up.

One by one, a thousand Semi-Ruler class powerhouses slammed into the frozen ceiling of the cave. Utilizing their immense strength and their unyielding Forsell’s Blessing, they began to dig and blast their way upward through the miles of solid bedrock and glacial ice. They tore through the terrain with all the strength they could summon and far beyond their natural limits, fueled by a powerful, collective belief that bound their minds as tightly as any blood covenant: As long as even one of us makes it to the surface, all of us will have made it.

Up on the surface, the very streets of the Elven Capital began to violently buckle and rupture.

The low-tier elves stopped what they were doing, staring in absolute terror as the ground beneath the royal district began to rise and crack like a volcano about to blow. Geysers of pure, concentrated frost and raw elven divinity started blasting through the cobblestones, shattering the pristine architecture into millions of flying shards.

One by one, the half-bloods shot out of the fractured ground like columns of descending starlight.

They took to the sky, suspended in the open air as they took in the scent of freedom for the very first time in their lives. The crisp, unrestricted wind of the Dark Realm hit their faces, and now that they had tasted the intoxicating nectar of true autonomy, they knew with absolute, terrifying certainty that they would never, ever go back to the dark.

However, the illusion of peace was immediately shattered.

Bursting out from the weeping cavern tunnels behind them, the Elven warden and his elite guards flew upward into the sky, aggressively overestimating themselves. It seemed that after centuries of watching these hybrids chained, tortured, and forced into compliance, the wardens had fatally forgotten a fundamental truth: these were not docile livestock. They were Semi-Ruler class devils whose raw power existed far beyond the capabilities of mere mid-tier guards. The wardens had mistaken the cage for the beast’s actual strength.

The half-bloods, seeing the sadistic warden and his forces breaching the surface to recapture them, instantly stopped enjoying their newfound freedom. The collective tranquility in their eyes vanished, replaced by a cold, primordial rage that had been brewing for millennia.

They didn’t run.

They didn’t negotiate.

With a unified, terrifying flex of their divinity, the thousand half-bloods turned back toward their captors and initiated a bloody massacre that the Snow Elves would never forget in the foreseeable future.
