Chapter 186 Dragon Shadow FighterChapter 186 Dragon Shadow Fighter

Meng Chunping enthusiastically introduced his own Dragon Shadow fighter jet to the delegation from Pakistan. His passionate explanation made Shabtai Warren and others fascinated and the more they listened, the more excited they became.

This fighter jet is much more advanced than the existing fighter jets they have, it is simply a qualitative leap!
They were very much looking forward to this Dragon Shadow fighter jet replacing their old fighter jets and regaining air supremacy from the White Elephant Kingdom.

Meng Chunping proudly announced: ”The Dragon Shadow fighter is a high-performance, multi-purpose, all-weather third-generation fighter.”

He paused for a moment, then continued with a smile: ”The Dragon Shadow fighter has outstanding medium- and low-altitude high-subsonic maneuverability and combat capabilities, as well as a large range, combat radius, and long airborne time, and has excellent short-distance takeoff and landing characteristics.”

”The most amazing thing is that the Dragon Shadow fighter has a powerful weapon loading capacity. It can be equipped with an advanced beyond-visual-range launch system and can launch a variety of advanced precision-guided air-to-surface weapons.”

Meng Chunping’s voice became more and more excited.

He wanted to sell the Dragon Shadow fighter.

Lin Chenran talked to Meng Chunping before, if they could ”cheat”, no, if they could get Pakistan to cooperate, then the research and development funds of the Dragon Shadow fighter design and development team would be greatly increased.

If we can ”cheat” (pull in) a few more partners, the R&D funds will be huge.

It is enough for the design and development team of the Dragon Shadow fighter to make a profit.

This is the problem with Meng Chunping’s efforts to promote the Dragon Shadow fighter.

After Meng Chunping’s brief introduction, not only the members of the Pakistani delegation were ”drooling” over the Longying fighter jet, but even the military representatives of the Yan State at the scene were moved.

They also think that the Dragon Shadow fighter designed by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory is very promising!
In some aspects, it is on par with the J-10 fighter.

This……

that……

Does the Yan State military want to purchase it?

Previously, the 077 Mechanical Military Factory reported that the Longying fighter was a second-generation and a half fighter, but the Yan State military showed little interest.

The main reason is that most of the senior military officials of Yan State feel that the third-generation fighter jet - the J-10 fighter jet has entered the research and development stage.

I believe it will be successfully developed in the near future.

With third-generation fighter jets, who would care about second-and-a-half-generation fighter jets?

The military representatives of the Yan State who were listening to Meng Chunping’s introduction of the Dragon Shadow fighter jet felt that they were totally wrong.

This Longying fighter may even be superior to the J-10 fighter in some aspects.

Can you bear this?

The Longying fighter adopts a conventional layout with medium aspect ratio slat wings.

The fuselage adopts supersonic area law, beam type and semi-monocoque hybrid structure.

Single vertical tail, differential horizontal tail, twin ventral fins, full span leading edge flaps and trailing edge flaps.

The most surprising thing is that the Dragon Shadow fighter actually uses a more advanced DSI air intake.

The J-10 fighter jet does not use this type of air intake.
The advanced DSI inlet has reduced compression and separation boundary layer resistance, reduced radar reflection waves, and no auxiliary inlet valve or exhaust valve is provided, which greatly reduces the structural weight and effectively improves the overall combat performance.

In terms of power, the 077 Mechanical Arsenal wants to adopt a new turbofan engine.

That’s right, a new turbofan engine is developed based on the AL-31FN turbofan engine and the Taihang turbofan engine.

Meng Chunping said proudly: ”The Longying fighter uses the turbofan engine newly developed by our 077 Machinery Military Factory.”

”The engine has a maximum thrust of 49.4 kilonewtons and an afterburner thrust of 81.4 kilonewtons.”

Sabote Warren raised his hand to indicate that he wanted to say something, and Meng Chunping smiled and gestured back.

Shabtai Warren apologized first: ”Meng, do you have such advanced turbofan engines in the 077 Mechanical Arsenal?”

”It’s not that I question you, but you have been importing aircraft engines from the Russians and the Americans.”

Meng Chunping heard this and said calmly: ”Mr. Shabotay, we have the relevant technology. I believe that within a year, you will be able to see the turbofan engine designed, developed and produced by our 077 Machinery Military Factory.”

Meng Chunping seems very confident!
Immediately afterwards, at his suggestion, the design drawing of the turbofan engine carried by the Dragon Shadow fighter was released.

This dispelled some of the doubts of the representatives of the Pakistani delegation.

Lin Chenran on the side said with a smile: ”Shabotay, if you don’t want to play with the turbofan engine designed and developed by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory.”

”You can purchase turbofan engines from other countries, and we can modify and upgrade them according to the turbofan engines you purchase.”

Then he continued: ”But I suggest that you use the engine designed and developed by our 077 Mechanical Military Factory.”

”After all, we deliver the relevant technology and production lines to you.”

Lin Chenran thought to himself: If I want to purchase the relevant turbofan engine technology and production lines, I will definitely have to pay something - big dollars.

Lin Chenran’s words made all the members of the Pakistani delegation at the scene silent and thoughtful.

It seems that you are giving the other party two choices, but those who understand will understand.

”Boss Lin, we need to go back and discuss the use of various turbofan engines.”

After thinking for a moment, Shabtai Warren decided to put the question aside for the time being.

Lin Chenran did not force the Pakistani delegation to make a choice immediately. He smiled and said, ”Shabotei, it’s okay. We really need to think about it carefully when we go back.”

”There’s no rush for this!”

Immediately afterwards, Lin Chenran signaled Meng Chunping to continue introducing the Dragon Shadow fighter to everyone.

Normal take-off weight: 9100 kg
Maximum take-off weight: 13500 kg

After a half-hour introduction by Meng Chunping, everyone had a clearer understanding of the Longying fighter designed and developed by the 077 Mechanical Military Factory.

It can be seen from the eyes of the Pakistani delegation members that they are very interested in the Dragon Shadow fighter and they can’t wait for this fighter to serve in their own army immediately.

When Lin Chenran saw the expressions of the Pakistani delegation members, he had an idea in his mind.

That should be it!
The next step is negotiation.

That is, the initial investment of both parties, the price of a Longying fighter, and the various expenses of building a fighter production factory in Pakistan in the later stage.

Originally, Sabtai Warren thought that the price would be cheaper due to the relationship between the two parties.

Lin Chenran: How is that possible? You want advanced fighter jets, and you want them for free? Don’t even think about it. In my eyes, there are only green dollars. Friendship? No, if you have money, you can have friendship.

The negotiations between the two sides did not go very smoothly.

Lin Chenran suggested putting the negotiations on hold for the time being.

Give the Pakistani delegation a little time to seek instructions from home.

Shabtai Warren and others also agreed.
