Building a Business Empire with my Technological System

Chapter 402 You are the Target VThe first salvo in Michael Reyes’ campaign against Manny Villar was delivered with calculated precision. In the early hours of a Tuesday morning, the headlines on every major business news outlet were dominated by a single story: Reyes Corporation’s entry into the affordable housing market.

Dubbed ”New Horizon Developments,” Michael’s new venture promised to deliver high-quality, affordable homes equipped with smart technology, green infrastructure, and financing plans tailored for the middle class. It was a direct challenge to Vista Land’s dominance in the real estate sector—and everyone, especially Villar, knew it.

At Vista Land’s headquarters, the atmosphere was tense. Manny Villar sat at the head of the table in a hastily convened emergency meeting. Executives shuffled nervously as they reviewed the announcement. A large display screen showed the promotional video for New Horizon Developments, a sleek presentation that highlighted Reyes Corporation’s innovations: solar-powered homes, app-controlled utilities, and cutting-edge construction techniques that promised faster delivery times and lower costs.

Villar’s expression was unreadable, but the tension in his jaw betrayed his simmering anger.

”This is a direct attack,” Villar said, his voice low but sharp. ”Reyes isn’t just competing with us—he’s targeting our core market. What’s our current exposure?”

The CFO, visibly uneasy, cleared his throat. ”Sir, about 70% of our revenue comes from mid-market housing projects. If Reyes undercuts us, it could erode our margins significantly.”

Villar turned to the head of marketing. ”What’s our position? How do we counter this?”

”We could emphasize our legacy and trustworthiness,” the marketing head suggested. ”Reyes is new to this sector. We can highlight our decades of experience and reliability.”

Villar’s eyes narrowed. ”Experience won’t matter if they’re offering better homes at lower prices. We need more than slogans. I want competitive pricing models and accelerated timelines for our projects. No delays, no excuses.”@@@@

”Understood, sir,” the executives murmured, but the unease in the room lingered.

Meanwhile, at Reyes Corporation, the mood was triumphant. Michael stood in the operations center with Juliet and Bridget, reviewing the impact of their announcement. Reports showed that New Horizon Developments had already generated significant interest, with thousands of inquiries flooding their website and call centers.

At Reyes Corporation, Juliet and Bridget updated Michael on the latest developments.

”The media campaign is working,” Juliet said. ”Public perception of Vista Land is shifting. They’re seen as outdated and mismanaged, while we’re positioned as the future of affordable housing.”

Bridget added, ”Their investors are growing nervous. We’ve received intel that some are considering divesting if their stock continues to drop.”

Michael’s eyes gleamed with determination. ”Push harder. Increase our outreach to their contractors and suppliers. Offer signing bonuses if necessary. And make sure our legal team is ready to counter any moves they make against us.”

Juliet nodded. ”Understood. I’ll also start drafting plans for our next phase—targeting their commercial developments.”

Michael’s smile widened. ”Good. Let’s make sure Villar understands that this is just the beginning.”

By the end of the month, the impact of Reyes Corporation’s campaign was undeniable. Vista Land’s flagship projects faced significant delays, their stock continued to plummet, and public confidence was at an all-time low. Contractors and suppliers defected in droves, while prospective buyers flocked to New Horizon Developments.

In his office, Manny Villar stared at the latest financial reports, his hands trembling slightly. For the first time in his career, he felt the weight of a battle he couldn’t win. Michael Reyes had not just attacked his business—he had systematically dismantled the very foundation of his empire.

Meanwhile, at Reyes Corporation, Michael stood at his window, watching the city lights. Behind him, Juliet and Bridget finalized the next steps in their strategy. The war with Villar was nearing its conclusion, and Michael was already looking ahead to his next move.

”They thought they could hold on to their legacy,” Michael murmured. ”But they never saw the future coming.”

And as the city buzzed with the news of Reyes Corporation’s dominance, Michael Reyes prepared to solidify his position as the undisputed leader of the Philippine business world.
