Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 3 Dark Light GrassChapter 3 Dark Light Grass

The combination of these requirements was quite harsh. Russell didn’t have high hopes at first. He wanted to try searching first, and if it didn’t work, he would gradually reduce the keywords.

Unexpectedly, the search results actually showed a place that met the above needs.

A netizen nicknamed ”Public Breeding Expert” announced that the Senluo City Fossil Museum will regularly process large quantities of ghost cultivation materials, and those who need them can pick them up for free.

”The ghost type cultivation materials produced by the Senluo City Fossil Museum? Biological fossils are somewhat related to the ghost type, but fossils are protected by alliance legislation and are precious items that even money cannot buy...”

Looking at the majestic large domed museum building in the navigation picture, he fell into confusion.

However, the heated discussion among netizens in the comment area soon made Russell understand the whole story.

It turns out that the so-called ”large amount of ghost cultivation materials” does not refer to the fossils themselves, but to a plant that can often be seen in fossil mining areas - Styx.

The Styx is indeed a pure plant with ghost attributes. It will only grow near the soil where pet beasts are buried. The soil in the fossil mining area contains the remaining energy of ancient creatures, and the Styx will grow wildly every once in a while.

Since the powder it emits when mature is harmful to the human body and non-ghost-type pets, the Senluo City Fossil Museum needs to regularly remove the Stygian grass in the fossil mining area to ensure that researchers who carry out archaeological work here will not have health problems.

The dungeon that was thrown away as waste by the museum can naturally be used by anyone who wants it for free...

However, strictly speaking, the dwarf grass is not a real cultivation material.

There are not many pet beasts with ghost attributes that are also herbivorous. In addition, the dungeon absorbs the energy of the remains of ancient creatures. In addition to its natural ghost and plant attributes, it often also has other unpredictable attributes.

Eating breeding materials with too complex properties may cause energy disorders in the pet’s body, cause discomfort, and even affect development.

Some people have tried to purify and filter the juice of the Styx. However, the energy contained in each Styx is very meager. The cost of picking in large quantities, purifying, and processing is very high, and even exceeds the cost of directly purchasing some common ghost cultivation materials. , completely worth the loss.

No wonder this blogger is called ”Public Breeding Expert”. Only poor people like Russell would consider using dwarf grass to cultivate their own ghost beasts.

And he has a lot of fans. It seems that even in the world of beast control, there are many poor people...

”This person seems to often publish similar free prostitution strategies. He is really a treasure.”

As a properly impoverished person, Russell quickly followed his ”Civilian Cultivation Encyclopedia” channel.

Although the comment section has mixed opinions on ”civilian nurturing little expert”, and there are also beast masters who have eaten too much dwarf grass and their pets have diarrhea, but Russell is not worried about encountering such problems at all.

The impact of attribute energy on pet beasts is slow. As long as he removes the excess energy from Ayou’s body in time, there will be no side effects from eating more Dark Light Grass.

Today is Friday, which happens to be the day when the Fossil Museum cleans up the Styx. Since there is no business at the Imperial Insect House right now, Russell simply closed the shop and rode a small electric donkey towards the Senluo City Fossil Museum.

…………

The Senluo City Fossil Museum is not too far from Fenglin Road. Half an hour later, Russell stood in front of the museum’s door, which was shaped like a huge dinosaur skull.

According to the information found, this museum is built on the fossils discovered more than ten years ago. Except for a few exhibition halls, most areas are kept secret.

On the side of the road at the side entrance of the museum, a young female staff member wearing a researcher’s uniform was holding a walkie-talkie and directing a row of vehicles to transport waste cleared from the fossil mining area.

Most of them were large trucks transporting slag, and a small truck at the end of the queue was loaded with several large sealed bags half as tall as a person. It can be seen from the dark green juice remaining at the seal of the bag that it contains the dwarf grass that has just been harvested and is ready to be transported away for centralized processing.

Seeing that the small truck filled with several bags of dwarf grass was about to drive away, Russell hurriedly rushed forward.

”This citizen, the Fossil Museum is cleaning up the mining area today and is temporarily closed to the public.”

Thinking that Russell was not paying attention to the tourists who came to visit during the closing time, the researcher politely declined to him.

But Russell’s goal is not to visit the venue. What he cares about most now is the cart full of dungeons not far away.

Although the ”Encyclopedia of Beast Control”, which is compulsory in compulsory education in the world, describes this plant as ”it will grow wildly all year round under suitable conditions.” However, a dwarf plant needs to grow from a young seedling to a height of to centimeters. , and it takes about half a month to bloom and bear fruit.

If he misses this batch, he will have to wait for more than ten days, which is not only a waste of time, but will also face the dilemma of defaulting on rent, energy, and business management fees again.

Dr. Oran’s generosity and care are one thing, but Russell’s requirements for himself and his basic self-reliance are another matter.

After all, he is also a time traveler with a powerful talent for controlling beasts. It would be too shameful and outrageous if he couldn’t even earn any living expenses!
”Hello, I would like to ask, can anyone collect the dungeons disposed of by the museum for free?”

The researcher in front of her looked to be a few years older than herself, with a very kind attitude and no airs. Russell smiled at her and asked very politely.

”Well... it takes a lot of manpower and material resources to deal with these dungeons. Naturally, we are very happy if someone is willing to take them. However, in the past few months, there have been a lot more people asking for dungeons than before. Not long ago, there was a pet beast eating them. If there is a dispute due to vomiting and diarrhea on the underworld lamp grass, you need to briefly explain your intention of using it.”

After listening to Russell’s words, the researcher used the intercom to temporarily stop the last truck transporting the Styx. However, she did not immediately say that she could let Russell take the Styx. Instead, she verified his purpose of receiving the Styx.

There has been a sudden increase in the number of recipients, and some people have caused physical problems by letting their pets eat so much. This is probably the chain reaction of the article shared by ”Civilians Cultivating Little Experts”...

”I plan to feed the black-ringed celestial silkworm larvae with Styx lantern grass. The insect-type pet beasts are very adaptable and have a limited size. They won’t eat too much each time, so there shouldn’t be any problems.”

In view of the fact that there had been disputes over the dark lamp grass, it was normal for the other party to make necessary inquiries. Russell cooperated and stated his plans.

”Black-ringed hawkmoth larvae... can evolve into UFO hawkmoths with ghostly attributes. The risk of eating stylo is indeed low. Register your identity code here and get as much styli as you need.”

All the researchers who can work in the Municipal Museum are academic masters and are familiar with the information about common pet beasts. After thinking for a while, the researcher agreed to Russell’s request to receive the Styx.

After all, it is indeed quite troublesome to deal with mature stygophylla that emit pollen when touched. Just cutting it off is not enough. It must be intensively burned, and the remaining smoke powder must be specially purified, otherwise it will easily pollute the environment.

These tasks are not difficult, but they consume a lot of time. Busy researchers are naturally happy to have someone help with some of them.

What’s more, this kind of official venue is equipped with a security team composed of animal masters, and it can be completely handled if you occasionally encounter one or two weirdos who come to blackmail people.

But Russell’s next question made her look weird.

”Can I take the whole car?”

”...?”
