Bear School Astartes

Hanging from the claws of the Green Dragon’s four limbs were strips and strands of flesh torn from the neck of the Terror Tyrannosaurus, yet she was not the least bit proud.

Instead, she was utterly terrified!

Blood, rich with Dragon Attribute Energy, gushed from the back of the Terror Tyrannosaurus like a fountain! Then as it approached the surface, it was compressed and pressurized by powerful muscles!

Finally, it was so pressurized that when it sprayed out, it turned into a vast mist of blood!

When it splattered on the Green Dragon, a corrosive ’sss’ sound was heard.

However, this was not the main reason for the Green Dragon’s wailing screams.

The outer layer of skin of the Terror Tyrannosaurus had sacrificed most of its defensive power to support its own muscles.

It wasn’t like other species of the New Continent, which added scale armor or hard shells to their skin.

Only bare outer skin and scattered thick scales remained.

Furthermore, because of the constant predatory battles of the Terror Tyrannosaurus, it hardly ever rested.

Its entire skin, besides being covered in countless scars, was encrusted with the dirty, smelly blood scabs from battles, both from its enemies and itself.

This already gloomy dark green skin appeared even more slick and repulsive, grotesque.

Now, on top of the already slick, stinking blood scabs, a fresh, sticky layer of blood from the Terror Tyrannosaurus was sprayed... By all means, the Green Dragon’s claws, which had gripped the back of the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s neck, completely lost their hold!

Her once flapping wings began to carry the released Green Dragon upward.

But the predatory movement of the Terror Tyrannosaurus was faster!

Its long neck, unrestricted by injuries, twisted into position!

”Whoosh” in an instant!

It was a ready bite that the Terror Tyrannosaurus had been waiting for!

The edge of its mouth reached the side of the neck, the demonic jaws opening almost to one hundred eighty degrees!

This structure resembled a snake, seemingly lacking in biting force.

But the drug-induced massive growth of the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s muscles made up for that.

The muscles around its mouth turned this otherwise weak jaw structure into something terrifying!

The Green Dragon, unable to raise her front paws high enough in time, along with the left side of her shoulder, was caught by its demonic jaws.

As soon as it entered the mouth, the crisp ’crack’ was unmistakable!

The bones of the Green Dragon shattered immediately, the front half of her body turning into a tattered ragdoll within the maw of the Terror Tyrannosaurus!

Only then did she let out a whimpering scream.

She had completely misjudged the physical power, vitality, and fierce energy of this monster from the New Continent!

Immediately after, Lann felt a tingling sensation on his scalp!

Without even thinking, he instantly retreated backward!

In the next moment, the Terror Tyrannosaurus, which had been supporting itself on the ground with two claws, stepped backward fiercely!

Then...

The Terror Tyrannosaurus, stepping back by half, swung its head down while holding the Green Dragon with a wingspan of more than twenty meters in its mouth!

As if clasping a live greatsword in its mouth, it sliced through the air where Lann had just been!

”Boom!!!”

”Awoooo!”

The sound of impact and a painful wail burst out simultaneously.

The explosion of debris was so intense that even Lann had to raise his arm, covered by arm armor, to protect his face.

Lann’s expression was extremely grim.

Unexpectedly, just because he was a step late in his warning, the ally had already become a ’weapon’ in the enemy’s mouth.

The Green Dragon struggled in the jaws of the Terror Tyrannosaurus, whether out of persistent fighting courage or because the Dragon Attribute Energy and acidic saliva in its mouth caused agony.

But the Green Dragon’s struggles were of no importance to the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

The Green Dragon, using the right shoulder that had yet to shatter, stretched its head to bite the side of the neck of the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

Her two hind legs, like a cat, kicked and clawed at the opposite side of the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s neck.

But the Terror Tyrannosaurus just endured it, its thick neck muscles dismissing the struggle, as if a small, harmless cat was truly in its mouth.

Its back, torn open from forcibly twisting its neck, was still spraying blood mist like black fog.

In the black mist, red electrical sparks flickered continuously due to the Dragon Attribute Energy.

And those dim yellow eyes refocused on Lann.

Usually, this small amount of meat wouldn’t affect the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s appetite enough for it to be this determined.

Because eating is more important than anything, wasting time and energy on small bites is too costly.

But somehow, after enfolding Lann in its mist, the Terror Tyrannosaurus immediately felt a desire... a desire to eat him!

The Terror Tyrannosaurus lacked reason and wisdom, and after the Convergence of Spheres, it only found the food here unsatisfactory, lacking in nourishment.

That was why it devoured a fifth of the area of the Mahakan Mountains so efficiently.

But Lann was different...

Upon sensing his presence, the Terror Tyrannosaurus sensed a familiar scent.

A scent of abundant and high-quality Life Force!

It strongly desired... to eat him!

Eat!

Eat!

Although his stomach pouch inexplicably keeps receiving things, the Terror Tyrannosaurus never feels satisfied.

To eat is to fight! To want to eat is to kill!

The direct and clear instinct has already permeated the entire life of the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

In its final consciousness, before being tormented by the increasingly tense and urgent battles to the point of breakdown and entering the already uncertain exit from the [Muscle Expansion State], the last thought of the Terror Tyrannosaurus was this simple.

Afterward, the remaining instincts in its body continued to execute this idea.

The Demon Hunter licked his lips, looking at the Terror Tyrannosaurus that held a true dragon in its mouth opposite him.

Now equivalent to a massive forty-meter Terror Tyrannosaurus, its already exaggerated attack range was expanded by ten more meters!

This is still thanks to the Green Dragon not having been bitten by the neck; otherwise, the swing range would be even larger!

Such a ridiculously expanded attack range, combined with the power of the Terror Tyrannosaurus itself...

”Ordinary human legs simply cannot withdraw out of its attack range during its attacks; even I have to frequently use [Acceleration Technique].”

The Demon Hunter mumbled softly.

Meanwhile, the Mentos in his mind began calculating Lann’s physical stamina and other physiological indicators based on the current required movement pattern.

The situation isn’t optimistic; after all, [Acceleration Technique] is still considered a not-so-high frequency if used as an occasional aggressive displacement technique.

With the high-energy blood reconstructed by the [Blood Regeneration Organ] that Lann currently has, it can completely circulate and recover.

But if [Acceleration Technique] is used as a regular technique for each displacement... even high-energy blood can’t sustain this instantaneous physical consumption!

The muscles on the thick neck of the Terror Tyrannosaurus twisted again, blocky and angular chunks of muscle resembling a winch, making its head fuller with strength when swinging!

A single step is more than ten meters, and another swing of the head along with the Green Dragon’s body is another ten meters.

A single step of movement can expand the attack range by more than twenty meters!

And seeing the Terror Tyrannosaurus already about to make that step towards him, Lann’s legs did not have the spiral airflow that should accompany the activation of [Acceleration Technique].

On the contrary, he stretched out his hand beside him, appearing as if he was going to catch something.

Indeed, there was something he needed to ’catch’.

Just as the Terror Tyrannosaurus lifted its step, in the depths of the Ponta River Valley formed at the intersection of the Mahakan Mountains and the Ponta River.

A bright electric blue light suddenly appeared from afar!

The ruggedness of the mountains and the complexity of the footing points did not affect the advance of that figure whatsoever; as fast as it was on flat ground, it was equally fast in the mountains!

So even though this speed is equivalent to a car running at two hundred mph on flat ground, in the mountains, the distance covered per unit time seemed so long!

Under the bright and vast moonlight, the salty sea breeze continued to blow in this inland mountain range.

But beside Lann, a nimble and holy elegant swift horse appeared suddenly!

Lann’s outstretched palm was precisely positioned at the handle in front of the saddle of the horse’s tack.

With a light and precise flip, the Demon Hunter was already mounted on the horse!

”Bumping me to death, meow!”

The dizzy voice of a small cat sounded from the saddle.

The Three-Floral Elu Cat showed a face almost ready to vomit but resolutely restrained, supporting itself to give Lann a thumbs up.

”Neigh!”

The Qilin, whose body bore no difference from an Ancient Dragon, softly neighed while its feet moved elegantly under instinct, and the magically woven silk rune cloth on its side rippled with beautiful waves.

’How on earth did this pesky thing appear here? Was this what we were chasing before? I’m exhausted!’

But its real meaning conveyed through the mutated [Yakxi Rune] always seemed out of sync with the Qilin’s inherent graceful demeanor.

”Have you seen a Terror Tyrannosaurus before?”

Lann asked softly.

Meanwhile, the other party had already swung its neck, using the still struggling body of the Green Dragon as a weapon, swinging it over!

The Qilin remained effortlessly poised.

Between its four hooves, arcs of electricity connected due to the gathering of electrostatic charges.

After leaving four scorched hoof prints from its electric charge on the ground, it easily ran out of the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s expanded attack range.

”Phew!”

Its red crystal-like eyes tilted to look at the Terror Tyrannosaurus, and its moist nostrils flared, spewing out hot air.

’Once seen, this thing crazily withstood my thunderstorm wanting to eat me! Scared me into running fast!’

’But compared to that one back then... why do I feel that this one is much scarier!’

The Green Dragon’s body, initially able to struggle for a bit, was now producing a series of cracking and dislocating sounds as it was swung.

The long neck drooped down, blood seeping from the gaps of teeth, appearing to be exhaling without inhaling, almost dead.

Her and the Terror Tyrannosaurus’s physical quality gap is too great; more use of magic and breathing in the sky would be smart.

But Lann didn’t want to just watch his previous companion die in the mouth of the Terror Tyrannosaurus due to a reckless advance.

So he gently patted the Qilin’s neck, signaling it to first extract the Green Dragon from the Terror Tyrannosaurus’ mouth.

Meanwhile, atop a distant hill, a portal opened again behind two Female Warlocks maintaining spells.

Tishaya walked out, holding a refined necklace in hand.
