Be Gentle, My Master

“Her name is Zimo.” Baili Xia drew Xiaoxiao closer, “This is Xiaoxiao.”

Chen immediately said: “Alright, if little sister Zimo doesn’t mind, she can try this role. It might not be the female lead or second lead, but it can be considered the third lead. The screen time is almost the same as the second lead’s…”

Zimo and Xiaoxiao were led away by Chen this way, to the third female lead role, which was far beyond their expectations.

Originally, they expected to come and play some stand-ins, or temporary roles.

They never imagined they would be offered the role of the third lead.

Even if the pay for playing the third female lead isn’t great, it is certainly better than being a temporary actor.

Xiaoxiao was even arranged to another film crew in a relatively important role.

What’s most significant is, they say there are dorms, where they can arrange for them to live in Feixue’s dormitory building.

In the future, they can eat for free at Feixue’s canteen as an employee meal.

They were simply elated beyond belief.

Baili Xia knocked on the door of Mu Lingchuan’s office.

When she entered, she had an uncontrollable smile in her eyes.

“What’s making you so cheerful?” Still sitting behind the office desk, Mu Lingchuan had a glance at her and couldn’t help but ask.

“Nothing special, I’m just in a good mood.” Baili Xia walked over, up to the office desk, “Brother, is there anything you want me to do?”

“Familiarize yourself with these documents first.” Mu Lingchuan casually threw a stack of documents to her.

Baili Xia took them.

She roughly flipped through and found they were all records of Feixue Media’s films and various projects over the years.

She was a bit puzzled: “Brother, what is this…?”

“Didn’t you want to do odd jobs at Feixue? Start by understanding Feixue first.” Mu Lingchuan answered nonchalantly without even looking up.

“So, Brother, are you agreeing to employ me part-time?”

Baili Xia’s eyes lit up, her heart almost trembling with excitement.

“Really?”

Suddenly, upon witnessing her excitement, a teasing thought emerged in Mu Lingchuan’s mind.

He leaned back in his chair lazily looking at her: “Grandfather said, you should come and learn, I am just following his instructions.”

“Uh?” Baili Xia was a bit stunned.

Learn?

Wasn’t it about working?

“Then…

what about the wages…?”

“Wages?” Mu Lingchuan’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion: “You are here to learn, what do you want wages for?”

“No…

No salary?” Baili Xia was instantly dumbfounded.

How could there be no salary?

She could study at home if that’s the case, but right now, she was short on cash, very short.

No salary…

oh, how could they bully her like this?

Could she not continue learning?

She just wanted to do some chores, like pouring tea and fetching water.

Was that ok?

“Looking at you losing your patience like this.” Seeing her getting desperate, Mu Lingchuan finally put away his teasing smile.

He cleared his throat slightly: “Go pour a cup of coffee.”

“Co…

Coffee?” She was still unable to react, mainly because she was still upset about the “no salary” thing.

“Didn’t you come to do odd jobs? Can’t you even pour a cup of coffee?” Mu Lingchuan frowned.

“Pour… Pour a cup of coffee, I can… but…” Was she not here to learn?

Why did it suddenly shift to doing odd jobs?

Then…then does pouring coffee come with a salary?

Those big round eyes of hers were staring straight at him, looking pitifully at him.

Seeing her like this, Mu Lingchuan also started to feel kind of mean.

“Working part-time while learning, with a slightly lower salary, but it’s better than nothing.”

He lifted the corner of his lips: “So, will you do it?”
