Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

60: Chapter 60 Operation Cleaner4:30 AM. The sky was not yet bright, and the city slept under the blizzard.

Inside the underground garage of Jinding Phoenix City, three black polar off-road vehicles were starting silently, their engine roars masked by the thick layer of snow.

Ye Nanxing wore a cold-weather tactical trench coat, equipped with a stun baton and a hunting knife at her waist, her gaze icy.

She sat in the driver’s seat, her fingers swiftly bringing up the vehicle’s navigation system, her tone crisp and decisive:

”Sun Hao, Zhang Tianjin, you are responsible for the North District Traditional Chinese Medicine Wholesale Market. Zhou Cheng, Zhao Wei, you are responsible for the East District Farmers’ Market.”

”I will go to the South City Old Wharf alone—there is a batch of abandoned warehouses there. No one will fight over them, but their value is extremely high.”

Zhang Tianjin couldn’t help but ask.

”South City... there were signs of zombies there last night. You’re going alone?”

Ye Nanxing didn’t even turn her head:

”The most dangerous places hold the most bountiful rewards.”

Huabei City · South City Old Wharf

The blizzard was like a blade, and the world was deathly silent.

Ye Nanxing stepped on the thick snow, walking slowly through the container yard of the South City Old Wharf.

This was originally an early material distribution center for the city, but it had been abandoned as the city center shifted eastward. Now, only thousands of densely packed iron containers stood like cold tombstones amidst the wind and snow.

—To ordinary people, this place was a ruin.

—To Ye Nanxing, this was a treasure trove.

Her gaze was calm to the point of being mechanical. She held a silent stun gun in her hand, with her exclusive spatial device strapped to her back, her eyes locking onto the containers with red markings like a hawk.

This was information she had accidentally heard in her past life.

”South City Old Wharf once had a large reserve of emergency supplies, which were later secretly recovered by the Y07 Base troops.”

Back then, she had no ability to fight against the base’s people, so she didn’t think much of it.

In this life, she would seize them before anyone else.

She climbed over a snowdrift, arrived at the first block, and moved her mind.

”Hum—”

Hundreds of cubic meters of containers disappeared one after another in silence, being stored into her spatial dimension.

Compressed grain silos, spare fuel drums, vehicle-mounted water purifiers, industrial-grade purification filter cartridges, emergency medical stations, tactical tents, thermal clothing, communication relay towers—

After these items entered the space, Ye Nanxing could see what was inside the containers directly in her mind.

Item by item, supplies that were ”non-essential” but became ”life infrastructure” immediately after the Apocalypse broke out were all silently swept away by her!

Fifteen minutes later.

A total of 1089 containers, completely emptied!

Ye Nanxing wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked toward the small warehouse at the end of the wharf.

”I cannot let any place go.”

The warehouse wasn’t large, but inside, twenty full rows of shelves were still sealed with a large amount of daily necessities.

Household generators

Vehicle-mounted solar panels

Commercial cold chain boxes

Foldable mattresses, portable heaters, water purification equipment

Hand-cranked radios, spare gasoline, electrolyte salt tablets, flares, industrial vacuum-sealed medicine...

These items would almost never be snatched by ordinary citizens, yet they were the ”survival foundation” that the base would focus on requisitioning in the later stages.

Ye Nanxing directly opened her space—

Rumble, rumble—

The goods ”disappeared” from the warehouse like a receding tide, being taken into her private space. She pulled at full capacity, opening the maximum storage limit!

The entire warehouse was cleared within five minutes!

Ye Nanxing took a deep breath and was just about to turn and leave when Sun Hao’s low growl suddenly came through her earpiece:

”Damn! Bodies are reanimating in the wholesale market on our side! A dozen of them! Do we fight now?!”

Ye Nanxing replied calmly:

”Don’t get bogged down in a fight. Bypass them if you can. If you really have no choice—blow out their knees, don’t attract the horde.”

Just as she finished speaking—

”Creak—”

The warehouse door made a soft sound.

Ye Nanxing’s body froze, her gaze turned cold instantly, and she slowly retreated into the shadows of the shelves on the right, dagger in hand.

Footsteps, dragging with the crisp sound of bone friction, moved forward, alternating between the snow and the concrete floor.

A figure stumbled into the warehouse!

Its skin was pale, its eyeballs bloodshot and bulging, and there was a terrifying deep laceration on one side of its neck, almost exposing the trachea. A low gurgling sound came from its mouth:

”Woo—woo—woo...”

—A zombie.

But its movements were different from those slow, sluggish infected she remembered.

It was faster, its limbs were slightly crawling in posture, its fingernails were longer, and there was even a faint blue light in its eyes.

”...A mutant.”

Ye Nanxing’s eyes narrowed; she knew this was no ordinary creature.

She didn’t hesitate, lunging out from the side, and a shot from her stun gun hit its chest—

”Snap—!!”

Blue electricity crackled, and the zombie convulsed and fell to the ground!

She leaped forward, and her dagger precisely pierced its left eye—

One hit, one kill!

The air returned to dead silence.

Ye Nanxing stood up, looking at the distorted muscle lines of the corpse, and whispered:

”...The virus has already started mutating ahead of schedule.”

Her gaze turned completely cold:

”The subsequent plan—must be accelerated!”

She quickly issued an order:

”Counting complete, harvesting of the target area finished. Everyone—shorten the recovery time to within two hours.”

”This is the edge of the city, and also the core of the future.”

She looked up toward the outside of the warehouse; the blizzard was becoming increasingly dense.

On the horizon, a low humming sound that did not belong to the blizzard was slowly rising.

Huabei City · North District Traditional Chinese Medicine Wholesale Market

”Bang—!”

A metal shelf was knocked over, smashing onto the floor tiles with a loud noise, shattering medicine bottles.

Sun Hao retreated in a hurry while firing three shots forward in succession!

”Bang, bang, bang!”

The gunshots exploded inside the enclosed wholesale market. The bullets hit a lunging zombie, knocking it back several steps.

But the female zombie’s body tilted, her neck bent at an eerie angle, and she was still struggling to crawl!

”Damn it! Zhang Tianjin, can’t you be faster?! It’s coming up again!!”

”I’m killing a zombie for the first time too, dammit!!”

Zhang Tianjin held a steel rod, but his hands were trembling, and he was so scared that he missed three times in a row!

Before him, a zombie that looked like a female shop clerk had a torn throat and rolled-back white eyes, letting out a sharp, cat-like low growl as it lunged at him!

”Bang!” Another shot!

Sun Hao missed the head and only tore off the opponent’s arm.

”Bang!” Smoke rose from the muzzle.

”Bang!” The bullets were finally exhausted, and the magazine clicked empty!

”I’m out of bullets!” Sun Hao roared, ”Prepare melee weapons!”

Zhang Tianjin’s eyes also turned red: ”Come on!!!”

He raised the steel rod and smashed it into the side of the zombie’s skull!

”Crack!”

The sound of bone cracking exploded!

The corpse crashed to the ground but was still clawing wildly, its mouth constantly roaring ”woo-woo-woo”!

”It’s not dead yet! It... why is it still looking at me!”

Zhang Tianjin’s voice changed pitch.

Sun Hao gritted his teeth, pulled out a steel nailing pipe, and smashed down violently!

”Thud, thud, thud, thud!”

The steel pipe smashed down like a hammer until brains splattered and the corpse went completely limp!

”Fuck... I can’t stop at all!”

Zhang Tianjin’s face was covered in cold sweat, his voice trembling.

”TV shows are all lying! They aren’t those stupid dummies that walk in straight lines! This thing—it can see, it chases fast, and it has attack judgment!!”

Sun Hao panted heavily, his legs giving way as he sat on the ground, his arm trembling faintly.

”My right shoulder was scratched... the armor didn’t block it...”

On the ground was a tragic scene mixed with blood and medicinal dregs. The wholesale hall, originally piled with boxes of traditional Chinese medicine and herbal materials, had become a death laboratory.

Of the more than twenty zombies, a dozen still remained—wandering around the market, gathering toward this side, following the scent.
