Apocalypse Transmigration - The Card Captor System

Leo was sitting on his bed, counting the number of cards he had gained from the ordeal last night.

After arranging the cards according to their ranks and counting them, the total number of cards he had gained was 112.

1 – Epic Card

12 – Rare Cards

34 – Uncommon Cards

65 – Common Cards

Seeing that only one Epic Card had dropped, Leo was a little disappointed, but he didn’t linger on that thought for long.

He first checked the Epic Card.

1) Space Expansion Card – (Epic Card)

An upgrade card used to increase the space inside an enclosed area by 4 m².

Seeing the card’s function, Leo asked the system,

”System, can I use this card to expand the space inside the truck? Will it affect the performance of the vehicle?”

”Host, using this card will not affect the vehicle’s overall performance. By using this card, only the space inside the vehicle will change. The exterior dimensions of the truck will remain the same.”

”Doesn’t that mean I can repeatedly use the Space Expansion Card inside the truck, and the living space can eventually become as big as a city?”

”Host, technically it is possible, but the total weight inside will also increase. In order to avoid affecting the vehicle’s performance, you will have to enhance the truck’s engine, tires, and load-bearing capacity. Overall, you must improve the truck’s specifications as the interior space grows.”

Leo nodded as he finally understood the reasoning.

Next, he checked the Rare Cards.

1) Blackthorn SR-1 Sniper Rifle – (Rare Card)

2) Skywell Atmospheric Extractor – (Rare Card)

A device capable of harvesting moisture directly from the atmosphere and converting it into drinkable water.

Production Rate: 10–30 liters per day depending on humidity.

3) Upgrade Card – (Rare Card) ×4

4) Ranger Tactical Armour – (Rare Card)

5) X-Gene Serum – (Rare Card)

The serum gives a certain probability of awakening supernatural latent potential.

6) Anti-Viral Serum – (Rare Card) ×2

If applied within 24 hours of infection, it has a probability of resisting the infection.

Leo could understand the use of the Skywell Atmospheric Extractor by reading the description on the card.

However, he was confused about the use of the Upgrade Cards and the serums.

”System, what is the use of the Upgrade Cards?”

”Host, you can use an Upgrade Card to improve the performance of existing equipment and tools, but you must provide the necessary materials required for the upgrade.”

Hearing the use of the Upgrade Cards, Leo’s eyes shone.

”What about the serums?”

”The X-Gene Serum, in simpler terms, gives the user a certain probability of awakening superpowers.”

”The Anti-Viral Serum gives a certain probability of resisting infection if the user becomes infected.”

”I hope the host’s limited brain capacity can understand these simple explanations.”

Leo simply ignored the system’s sarcasm and began thinking.

”System, if I use this X-Gene Serum, does that mean I might acquire supernatural powers like breathing fire or summoning thunder?”

Before Leo could fantasize about more powers, the system poured a bucket of cold water over his fantasies.

”Unfortunately for the host, the X-Gene Serum is useless to you.”

”Huh? What? Why?”

”Ever since the host gained the system, it has been constantly changing and adapting your body by supplying you with the essence you gain from killing zombies and mutants.”

”What the X-Gene Serum would do after being injected, the system is already doing. Therefore, if you possess any latent supernatural genes, they will automatically awaken sometime in the future.”

”So, Host, start worshipping the system for the benevolence it has shown you.”

Leo ignored the system’s monologue once again.

He then started inspecting the Uncommon and Common Cards.

The Uncommon Cards included:

Storage Card – 1 cubic meter space ×10

Fuel Card – 20 liters ×5

Bullets – 100 rounds ×4

Refined Steel Machete ×2

Refined Steel Sword ×3

Solar Panels ×3

Super Comfort Folding Mattress ×1

Crossbow ×1

Glock 17 ×2

Zombie Repellent Incense ×2

Medical First aid kit ×1

The Common Cards were mostly resources and food.

Rice ×50 kg, Meat ×13 kg, Drinking Water ×49 liters, Toilet Paper ×10 rolls, Instant Noodles ×3 boxes, Blankets ×3, Vegetables ×20 kg, Protein Bars ×3 boxes, and Compressed Biscuits ×15 packs , Salt × 2 kg , Spices × 1 box .

There were even women’s panties in one of the cards.

Seeing the food, Leo quickly released a box of protein bars.

There were twelve protein bars in a single box.

He quickly finished eating three protein bars. Even though his hunger had not been completely satisfied, he couldn’t continue eating them because of their sweetness.

He then released ten bottles of water and finished off one bottle in a single gulp.

Afterward, he opened a packet of compressed biscuits.

After satisfying his hunger somewhat, he picked up the Space Expansion Card.

”Now, it’s time to upgrade my home a little.”
