Chapter 988: Chapter 775: Local Specialty

Gunshots continuously echoed on Long Street.

The tank’s tracks crushed the remnants on the ground, rumbling forward.

The Extreme Path members engaged in chaotic battles suddenly looked back, unable to believe what they saw, and unable to comprehend what was happening.

When the gates of Hell open, is this what it looks like when hordes of Evil Ghosts return to the human world?

Dressed in iron armor, holding swords, with ferocious figures, stepping over pools of blood.

Spreading death.

The squads crafted for war walked leisurely down the street, slowly raising their assault rifles, aiming at the slaughter targets ahead, pulling the trigger.

Following up, a grenade was tossed from a raised hand, rolling, dispersing countless fragments amidst a loud explosion.

Whether in anguish or roar, the massacre units advanced in an orderly manner from all directions, killing all the Hybrids before them.

Cruelly and precisely forcing the fleeing people into alleyways, the array split, and the executors’ leather boots treaded over the debris beneath them, the flame throwers in their hands flickered to life.

Slowly lifting.

Bright flames burst forth.

In the midst of the dire screeches, everything was engulfed.

Then, the tanks and formations continued forward, leaving behind only ruins.

In the flames, those rolling and wailing gradually became still, only the playful glow of flames continued to dance, climbing over the scorched earth...

The massacre had begun.

And Huai Shi stood in front of an already forgotten warehouse.

The address on the key, unexpectedly close, right next to Huaizhi Gang’s territory.

A dilapidated factory left unattended for over a decade, with wild grass growing everywhere in the empty yard, and countless garbage thrown in over the fence.

Sewage flowing freely.

The wire mesh in the corner had long been cut, and someone had set up a basketball court here. But now even those playing ball were long gone.

The once cozy corner, filled with laughter, was a mess after a heavy rain.

Huai Shi raised his hand, tore off the door’s already broken chain, attempted to pull open the door, only to discover that it couldn’t be opened at all; behind the layer of bug-infested flimsy door panels was a thick layer of steel.

Beneath the rusty surface lay several layers of different steel materials, seemingly grown into the ground, and only the lockhole buried under layers of iron plates remained shiny and new.

”Does it really have to be this complicated?”

Huai Shi frowned, inserted the oddly shaped key snugly, and forcefully turned his wrist.

Then a deep grinding noise emerged from the door’s interlayer, the continuous fine sound transformed into a loud rumble.

The ground shook.

Behind Huai Shi, the members of Huaizhi Gang retreated in amazement, witnessing the warehouse in front of them start to shake violently, as if a Giant was about to pull out its rooted feet from the earth and once again lift its weary body.

Countless dust rose in the fine rain.

Under the gloomy sky, dim lights lit up on the silent door, following Huai Shi’s push, the steel door—a half-meter thick—was slowly opening, revealing the darkness behind it.

From the air solidified for years came a familiar pungent smell.

Huai Shi froze in place.

In disbelief, he widened his eyes.

Before him, in the massive space behind the door, lights silently illuminated, lighting up the narrow pathways crammed with shelves that utilized every inch of space.

And the guns on those shelves.

Firearms.

A warehouse filled with firearms.

Pistols, submachine guns, rifles, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, light machine guns... grenades, shock bombs, landmines, explosives, and even an entire wall of shoulder-mounted rocket launchers...

Ammo crates piled high occupied most of the space, enough for a modern war’s terrifying reserve, right before his eyes.

In the deathly silence, Huai Shi was dumbfounded.

You bastard, what was your intention in your youth!

This is the small... reserve Tobio mentioned from over ten years ago?

Does everyone have some misunderstanding about quantitative terms?

”Isn’t it quite skillful, old man?”

Huai Shi gently laughed, stepped inside, took a pistol from the shelf, and began carefully and meticulously loading the maintenance oil-coated bullets into the magazine one by one.

”What are you waiting for?”

He turned back, looking at the stupefied faces, smiling cheerfully: ”Get ready to deliver goods, just like when you deliver wine.”

”Our retaliation has not yet begun—”

Fifteen minutes later, under the pouring rain, the convoy of Huaizhi Gang illuminated the dark world once more, loaded with firearms, the trucks roared as they sped off in all directions.

Heading to every organization and division on the Alliance’s registered list.

Bringing the Christmas presents early.

Free weaponry like beer, incapable of bringing happiness, incapable of bringing joy, only able to kill something.

Clearly not necessities like water and alcohol, yet it is the only way to survive now.

— Protect your families, protect your children, protect everything you own.

Rely on yourselves!

When the heavy truck broke the fierce firefight outside, crashed through the outer wall, spun all the way, and stopped in front of Akasaki, Akasaki almost punched the driver’s face away.

”Yamashita!!! You bastard!” Akasaki roared angrily: ”We just barely repaired the wall... what on earth are you doing!”

”Delivering goods.”

Behind the shattered windshield, the man bleeding from the forehead grimaced, raised his hand, and pointed to the truck compartment behind him: ”These are gifts from the boss to you.”

The shattered compartment slowly opened.

In the overturned box, countless swaying bullets flowed out from the gaps, the gleaming copper light reflecting his dazed face.

”Hey! Where did you get these?”

Akasaki bent over, grabbing the bullets that almost submerged his feet, bewildered, he almost thought he was hallucinating. Before he could react, the people behind him pushed him away.

”Oh? The Huaizhi Gang did a good job...”

Ochiai Yuriko reached out satisfied, checking the quality of the firearms, looked up and asked: ”Where did Huai Zhisu People go?”

Yamashita wiped the blood off his face, looked towards the place burning the most fiercely in the distance: ”According to the boss, he should have gone there, right?”

”Men being crazy like this is really troublesome, if we survive, let’s all have a drink together...”

Ochiai Yuriko shook her head, pulled the gun bolt, her expression became stern: ”Why are you still standing there, Akasaki, don’t you know how to work! Yamashita, you rest in the back first, it’s safer there.”

Yamashita shook his head, smiled, and declined her kindness, just pointed to the roaring city behind him: ”I still have a place to return to, Ms. Ochiai.”

He said, ”If possible, could someone help me refuel?”

In the brief silence, Ochiai Yuriko looked up at him, then looked at the battered truck that miraculously hadn’t stalled, turned around: ”Someone, get my car for him.”

Ten minutes later, as the garage door opened, the fully bulletproof modified Hummer erupted with a roar, as if a monster opening its eyes, its headlights lit up with blazing light.

After crashing through the fence, it rushed back into the storm and tempest.

Rushed into the eye of the storm.

Just at this moment, throughout the Tanbo Inner Circle, countless vehicles, motorcycles, even bicycles, loaded with iron light, roared out from the Huaizhi Gang’s gates, spreading in all directions.

Like a dying heart struggling to beat once more.

Injecting resistance into this dying moment.

And on the silent avenue, in front of the advancing armored vehicle, the cruel headlights illuminated the figure at the end, and the blood spreading beneath his feet.

Stomping on the shoulder of a struggling soldier, that sinister silhouette lifted its head, revealing a handsome face to them.

Casually, it pulled the trigger.

Amidst the plasma flying, that shattered shell ceased to struggle.

”Is everyone okay?”

Huai Shi looked up, wiped the rain off his face, smiled at the massacre team before him: ”Coming from afar, sorry for not properly welcoming you.”

He said, ”Next, please enjoy the warm hospitality here.”

Saying this, he dropped the assault rifle in his hand and pulled a... grenade launcher from his rear waist.

The smile grew even more bright.

Violence and death are specialties of the Tanbo Inner Circle, must be tasted—

At that moment, a deep muffled sound burst from his hand, the rainwater on the gun barrel spiraled upwards, and a pitch-black afterimage already roared out against a hail of bullets.

Striking the war vehicle!

In an instant, Ramses’ wrath re-erupted on this foreign territory, the alchemy fuel mixed with Source Substance burst forth with blazing light, engulfing everything around.

The insane rising temperature burned even the bulletproof armor into slurry, followed by the hot metal vapor spreading alongside the evaporating rain and storm in all directions, enveloping dozens of slaughterers within.

Then a second shot, a third, a fourth...

Until everything before him was completely engulfed.

Bringing destruction upon the destroyers.

Amidst the flames and impact, the agonized screeching erupted, indistinguishable from those who had passed.

Only a scarlet signal flare ascended into the sky, exploded with a roar, drawing attention from all directions.

In the rapidly approaching roar, Huai Shi looked down, the Forge Furnace between his five fingers ignited once more, one new High Explosive Bomb after another appeared out of thin air, loaded into it.

He raised his head again, walked towards the direction from which the enemy was coming, towards the next place.

”War has begun, everyone.”

He overlooked the enemies numbering tens or hundreds of times his own, stared at those twitching faces beneath the masks, and softly asked: ”Are you ready?”
