Chapter 670: Chapter 554 FBI! Open the door! (Thanks to Shangguan Weier for the alliance leader_1)

I’ve transmigrated?

After a brief moment of stupor, Huai Shi pressed his aching forehead, only to touch a Helmet.

He instinctively raised his hand to check the instrument on his wrist. After several confirmations that there were no Curses nearby, he finally took off his Helmet, breathing deeply the not-exactly-fresh air.

The scent of decay and dust was familiar, just like the smell inside any old house. Huai Shi knew this odor all too well.

The surroundings appeared to be a lavish room in some villa, with delicate furnishings and luxurious decor—a complete change of scenery from the back of the truck.

Calm down, Huai Shi.

He scratched his head, subconsciously flipping through the Book of Fate, trying to organize his thoughts. There was no record in the Book of Fate... which meant he was still in Hell.

He hadn’t left the Town of Dusk!

So, considering his previous memories...

This was inside that palace-like structure!

Remembering the fleeting glimpse of that somber figure, a realization dawned on Huai Shi. Had that Skeleton just casually pointed and pulled him into the control center?

As he inspected his surroundings, he noticed the Paradise Guard waking up from their short faint, looking around in confusion.

But Raymond was nowhere to be seen.

Huai Shi wondered if he was lucky not to have been sucked in, if he had run away... or perhaps if he’d been thrown somewhere else altogether.

The time display showed that they had been unconscious for less than two minutes.

When Huai Shi bent down and put his palm on the floor, he felt a faint rhythm—the feedback from countless metal transformations detected by the Hand of Confinement.

Undoubtedly, even at that very moment, the massive palace continued to change.

This confirmed Huai Shi’s guess. They were, indeed, inside the control center.

Huai Shi let out a sigh of relief.

Good, it seemed he had entered a new instance.

Wait a second, that meant...

He stroked his chin, contemplating. Was I entering the control center’s instance while descending into Hell’s instance, and then, by accident, ended up in an instance within an instance?

A triple-fold nesting of instances was damn well enough!

After pondering for a while, he turned back to the Guard Team. ”Do any of you have a clue?”

From within their Armor, the Paradise Guard exchanged glances, then responded in unison, ”Holy!”

Huai Shi nodded. ”Right, that’s what I thought.”

So, the Paradise Guard answered again in unison, ”Holy!”

It seemed impossible to expect these repeaters to provide any useful advice.

In fact, Huai Shi would be satisfied if these Ravens didn’t mess around with the stuff on the Iron Crystal Throne and bring him some random junk instead.

Just a few days ago, the Director of Affairs had approached Huai Shi with a grave concern. ”You’ve been in Hell for a week, and over half of the adult magazines secretly brought up by the Iron Crystal Throne members have disappeared. Several people have complained to me about these rampant thieves... Do you have any leads?”

All Huai Shi could say was how the hell would I know.

Then, to avoid his Feng Ping being damaged, he finally took harsh measures to eradicate this malpractice from the Crow Flock. As a result, for some reason, after the Ravens were deprived of their adult magazines, they started their daily repetitions, which was utterly infuriating.

He could only hope that when Little Nineteen one day discovered hundreds of adult magazines under his bed that didn’t belong to him... COUGH, COUGH, he could remain calm.

Completely unaware that he was gradually becoming the very thing he used to despise, Huai Shi nonchalantly put the matter behind him.

With the repeaters in tow, he began to search the room.

They found nothing.

The place seemed like a study, decorated elegantly, but in reality, not many books could have survived such a long time. All had turned to ashes. The better-preserved ones merely retained their shapes but crumbled at the slightest touch.

Only a few metal plates and stone slabs had endured, but the text engraved on them had never appeared in the Current Circumstances, let alone Huai Shi being capable of deciphering them. It was fortunate enough that they hadn’t been discarded as mere junk.

He could only photograph them for preservation, then pack them into sample boxes to take back to the Iron Crystal Throne.

After searching twice more, he found no traps or mechanisms, nor any significant findings.

There was only one option left.

”Let’s go out and have a look,” Huai Shi decided, taking a deep breath.

”Holy!!!”

The giant Rat-men of the Paradise Guard cheerfully shouted in unison, as if they were going out to attend some adult magazine exhibition or party, with not a hint of crisis awareness.

They couldn’t be serious.

Huai Shi sighed and gently opened the door.

Then he saw the empty corridor.

And at the end of the corridor, another door opening simultaneously—along with the figure behind the door slit, shrouded in heavy Armor.

The Eye of Nightmare.

If Huai Shi remembered correctly, that was Raymond’s old acquaintance...

—Samson of Blood Kiss.

When their eyes met, for a brief moment, they were enveloped in the wonder of the encounter, each unexpectedly moved. In this seemingly frozen moment, they looked at each other in astonishment, wondering why such a thing would suddenly appear out of nowhere.

But neither Death Perception nor years of experience would allow this moment to last too long. The instant they recognized each other, they instinctively recoiled and leaped backward.

In mid-air, they drew their guns, aimed at each other, and repeatedly squeezed the triggers.

Amidst the roaring gunfire, the sound of scraping steel burst forth.

The normally silent Paradise Guard suddenly sprang into action. As the direct race under the Soloist’s Stigma, there was absolutely no barrier between the Candle-Holding Crow and Huai Shi. Huai Shi only had to think it, and the order would be given.

And in the brief instant that took less than one-tenth of a second to go from stillness to a sprint.

The burly Rat-man Guard Team suddenly lunged forward, raising their massive Shields in front of the door, directly blocking the shots Blood Kiss fired after drawing his gun.

But Blood Kiss wasn’t as lucky as Huai Shi.

Because Huai Shi’s reaction was just that tiny bit faster.

The lightning reflexes provided by the Mountain Ghost’s four insights allowed him to remain calm at all times and respond with utmost speed.

Just like now.

The moment Huai Shi’s finger pulled the trigger, amidst Beelzebub’s gleeful laughter, the bullets were already flying.

The Alchemy Bullets erupted with a roar like cannon fire. They tore through the opponent’s door lock without the slightest pause or deviation, punched a basin-sized hole through the door, and then struck Blood Kiss squarely in the chest.

Immediately afterward, Blood Kiss was sent flying mid-air, like a stake directly hit by cannon fire.

Huai Shi could almost see Blood Kiss’s Armor slowly deforming, then glowing faintly as it forcibly halted the bullet for an instant.

Then, as he was landing, the full-body Armor rapidly crumbled into Iron Sand.

Was this an intentional design?

Huai Shi suddenly realized. Was it designed to self-destruct at a critical moment to block a fatal attack for the user?

Without time to ponder, the moment his heel touched the ground, he abruptly lowered his body and stepped forward.

Even faster, it turned out, was the Paradise Guard.

Before Huai Shi even landed, the three foremost Guards had already rapidly clustered together. Their giant Shields merged into one and, disregarding the narrow door frame, they pushed forward en masse.

”FBI! OPEN THE DOOR!!!!”

With a roar like thunder and a deafening crash, the fragile walls shattered. In the billowing dust, the sprinting Paradise Guard instantly crossed the corridor, having smashed through the wall into the room opposite.

Inside the room, as Blood Kiss hit the ground, the barely alert Eyes of Nightmare had no time to react before they saw the walls collapsing. They also saw the combined Shields pressing down on them like an iron wall.

A hurricane howled as phantom images of the ferocious guards emerged from the swirling dust.

Close behind, modified Rat-men who had drawn massive Chain Blades yanked their pull-cords. Accompanied by the high-pitched whine of fiercely rotating blades, they pounced on the room’s occupants.

It was as if they had rehearsed it countless times. Their coordination was perfect, endless. They breezed through the door breach, striking down every counterfeit with a fiery and swift assault.

The roaring Chain Blade had already descended, sending sprays of blood bursting forth.

Those who reacted quickly managed to raise weapons to block the sudden cleave. But then, they saw the Guard’s other hand casually draw a shotgun from his waist and aim it straight at his face.

Pulling the trigger.

BOOM!

A downpour of blood.

Amidst the roaring, Huai Shi’s figure arrived like a bolt of lightning. The Hammer of Sorrow in his hand spewed flames, crushing the air as it smashed down towards Blood Kiss, who had just landed.

In a hurry, the two heavy handles in Blood Kiss’s hands snapped together. Then, the sharp spear body shot out from within, aimed at Huai Shi’s face.

In a desperate, last-ditch attempt to take Huai Shi down with him, he seized the brief opportunity, sprang up from the ground, and a scarlet light suddenly burst from his eyes, shining on Huai Shi.

Huai Shi sneezed, his actions not slowing in the slightest, as he swung the Axe of Anger at Blood Kiss’s face.

My ultimate move was utterly useless!

In an instant of shock, Blood Kiss raised his steel spear to block Huai Shi’s Axe Blade. But under the burning fury of the axe, the spear was instantly shattered, and the Axe Blade continued straight for his head.

But a sudden surge of the sense of impending death erupted from behind.

The floor beneath Huai Shi’s feet suddenly cracked. Using Yu Step, he inexplicably shifted a meter to the left.

Then, a copper sword adorned with golden stone teeth flew past Huai Shi’s back, hovering in mid-air. Wherever it passed, even the air was torn apart, creating sharp ripples.

Macawet.

One of the weapons that the skin-peeling Aztec Samurai took the greatest pride in.

Huai Shi spun around instantly, the Sword of Virtue thrusting backward. At that moment, a radiant light burst from the Sword Blade, as if encountering an arch-enemy. Revealing its brilliance, it tore through the attacker’s cloak of mist to expose a slender figure within.

Clad in similar Armor, the slender Man in Armor faltered slightly, leaping back like a cheetah to narrowly avoid the sword’s edge. Then, their figure blurred.

Space Break!

Appearing before Huai Shi without warning, leaving no gap and no space for him to dodge.

A near-fatal thrust descended.

On the copper sword, countless golden stone teeth blazed with dazzling light. Like a ferocious beast, it opened its maw, inhaled, and unleashed a terrifying gravitational pull, dragging Huai Shi towards death.

Huai Shi felt a chilling sensation rise from his spine.

Countless Phantoms suddenly split from his body, each shattering under the thrust of the stone-bladed sword. But then, the Huai Shi in front of the sword vanished into thin air.

He vanished just as she had moments before.

Then, a sharp gash suddenly appeared on her iron Helmet.

The Sacrificial Knife struck out like a venomous Snake. Missing its mark, it swiftly retreated with Huai Shi.

Only the blade howled in hunger.

A murderous aura flared.

”The Lord of Skin-peeling’s dagger...”

As the Helmet shattered, a beautiful face was revealed from beneath the Armor. Under brilliant golden hair, the Teenage Girl’s emerald eyes shone with an intense light.

She was majestic and stern, exuding a terrifying intimidation that stemmed from her bloodline.

”How dare you not kneel upon seeing me?” she coldly reprimanded, ”—State your name, Impure!”
