Chapter 477: Chapter 415 How Majestic is My Blood_1

For a moment, the sound of shattering glass pierced the pitch-black sea and sky.

It was as if a mischievous child had thrown a pebble in the dead of night.

Above the sky dome, it seemed as if the eternal darkness had been torn apart.

There shouldn’t have been a sky here, since above was the boundless Abyss, the bottomless pits of Hell. But now, a scorching bright light flared up from the deepest darkness below and plummeted.

In an instant, it pierced through both sea and sky.

Shredding everything.

The belated roar exploded suddenly. Endless flames emerged from the unknown depths below, howling towards Hell, the Border, and the Current Circumstances of today.

One after another, beams of flame plummeted, deeply wedging into the sea, nearly reaching the very bottom of this phenomenon. In the end, the entire sea surface was covered in light.

Light as thick as a forest.

A gut-wrenching scream burst forth, sudden and unexpected.

It pierced everyone’s eardrums and shredded everyone’s consciousness, as if to empathetically imprint the agony onto every soul.

In the Reflection on the sea surface, the squirming darkness was pinned down by innumerable light spears, pierced through. Impossibly, thick blood surged from above the sea, turning into reverse waterfalls, spreading a pungent odor with countless spreading nightmares and rotten fungi.

The darkness was convulsing, struggling arduously.

It tried to escape but could no longer move. In its final moment, with all its might, it stretched out a tentacle, trying to touch the edge of Group Star.

Just a hair’s breadth away.

There, all connections to It were severed.

It was doomed. It could not board this train of escape and would meet its miserable end in the sea.

Dozens of kilometers away, on the survey ship, a bearded sailor holding onto the railing raised his binoculars, staring at the distant, tragic scene.

”This is Egret, requesting an airstrike.”

He lifted the walkie-talkie and said, ”Please stand by and prepare for observation.”

Soon, a report with an electronic buzz came through the walkie-talkie: ”This is ’Lone Wolf,’ airborne and standing by.”

”The enemy is directly south of Group Star,” the sailor whispered. ”Overcast weather. The wave level of the Endless Sea is three. Attack is possible.”

”Received.”

A brief whisper came through the walkie-talkie. After three seconds, something colossal swept through the dark sky, illuminated by firelight for an instant.

Rising from the distant Hell, it dropped something and then returned.

In the silence, the roar that tore through everything once again surged in every direction with the terrifying tide, and the wails became ever more shrill.

The Rotten Dream Queen struggled fiercely.

”Visual confirmation, the attack is effective! Lone Wolf, hit them again!”

”Received.”

The dark colossus swept again from the depths of Hell, scattering the seeds of destruction, causing the frantic flames to soar once more. In the Reflection on the sea surface, that blackness was already ignited, illuminating the desolate Hell.

It was like the wailing of humans resonating in the air, spreading out again.

But no matter how It resisted, cried out, or roared, nothing could change the fate that was about to happen.

The merciless ”Offensive” continued—no, the ravaging went on.

Without a moment’s pause.

Firepower enough to burn an entire Hell to ashes was deployed over this Endless Sea, turning the whole night as bright as day. Colossal blades, mountainous in size, fell from the depths of Hell, plowing deep furrows into the sea surface.

Sharp Blade disappeared into the depths of Hell, but the gashes on the sea surface could not be mended.

The Rotten Dream Queen had been bisected right down the middle!

The wails slowly faded away.

The observer smiled, lifting the walkie-talkie. ”Support Group, report status.”

A long silence followed, with no response.

”Support Group, report status.”

Still dead silent.

In the silence, aboard the survey ship, a piercing alarm suddenly went off. Startled, he turned around, only to see a viscous crimson seeping slowly from the cabin.

「Three minutes prior.」

Asian Jurisdiction Bureau Decision-making Room Four was filled with a low uproar.

Hundreds of reports and applications flooded in from all directions every moment. A vast amount of new paperwork awaited approval, and work piled up incessantly.

Weariness and haste were etched on every face as people scurried to and fro, reports and documents constantly changing hands.

But a piercing alarm abruptly cut through the clamor.

Everyone, startled, looked up and exchanged glances.

An abrupt silence fell.

Then, the sound of a door being pushed open was heard.

Outside, a clerk with a vacant stare struggled against the wall as he walked in. He then gave all his colleagues a grin... so gruesome and ugly.

”Back off!”

A guard who sensed something wrong drew his pistol, aiming at the clerk’s face. ”Stay there! Don’t move any closer!”

So, he stopped, just smiling.

His lips gradually parted, and thick blood flowed out endlessly.

Amidst loud bangs, the guard pulled the trigger twice, shattering the clerk’s skull and heart, but he did not fall. He remained standing rigidly on the spot, twisting his body, his lips struggling to open and close.

He said, ”Glorious... Glorious... My... Blood!”

Then, his mutilated body rapidly swelled.

Magnificent blood burst forth from the husk like a waterfall. But at this moment, the blood transformed into a torrent of flames, consuming everything.

The brutal blaze devoured everything, turning all within reach to ashes.

Asian Jurisdiction Bureau Decision-making Room Four fell silent.

In the shrill busy tone, Ai Qing emotionlessly hung up on the Jurisdiction Bureau’s hotline.

No explanation was needed.

The moment the communication was cut, she knew what had happened.

Even though the nature of the crisis remained unknown, she had accepted this hellish surprise in the first instant.

Inside the silent conductor’s room, she pondered for a moment, then reached into her pocket and took out a metal cigarette case, a cell phone, a handgun, and finally, a matchbox.

The small matchbox contained only three slender matches.

Even without the urge or intention to smoke, she still took out the three ’warnings’ issued to her and laid them on the table.

The first question: what is the current situation at headquarters?

She lit a match.

In the rising flame, phantoms of explosions and dismembered corpses flickered before vanishing without a trace of wind.

Her heart sank.

The second question: what will happen next on the Group Star?

She lit the second match.

As the flame rose again, she saw the massive train engulfed in shadows, then disastrously breaking apart amidst the turmoil, scattering into countless pieces across the sea.

Gone without a trace.

The flame burned out, scorching her fingertips.

She exhaled deeply, maintaining her composure, and tossed the burned-out match into the trash can before picking up the last one.

The third question: where is the enemy coming from?

But this time, no matter what she did, the match wouldn’t light. Even when she tore the striking surface, not a single spark dared to leap from it.

Yet, this too was a hint.

Anything that couldn’t be revealed by the ’warnings’ was thoroughly categorized in its user manual.

I just need to analyze it carefully...

In the silence, a disturbing knock on the door suddenly sounded.

It rang rhythmically three times.

Then, a wisp of elusive mist slowly seeped in through the gap under the door, morphing into the shape of a gaunt man. Below his grizzled hair, two bright green eyes shone frightfully.

It was as if they led to some nightmare...

”Pleased to meet you, madam,” the man named Morando greeted her, placing a hand to his chest in an elegant gesture. ”May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?”

”...”

After a brief silence, Ai Qing discarded the match in her hand and asked coldly, ”Where is that guy Amadin?”

”The guard at the door?”

Morando thought for a moment and smiled. ”He has fallen asleep; the beautiful night called to him.”

”I suppose it’s my turn next?”

Ai Qing slightly raised her eyebrows, reached out, picked up the handgun from the table, disengaged the safety, chambered a round, and pointed the muzzle at the enemy in front of her.

”Do you think I’ll surrender without a fight?”

Morando laughed at her defiance. ”A Sublimator without a Stigma—even holding a gun, what can you really do? Let me guess, is there a Numbered Curse Bullet in the gun? Ah, perhaps it’s even prepared for me... But do you think you can hit me? You may have another ace up your sleeve, but—”

A hoarse voice emerged from behind Ai Qing: ”And which one of me do you plan to shoot?”

As Morando spoke, one gaunt man after another appeared from behind the walls, each with a calm smile, reaching out and placing a hand on her shoulder.

Where he touched her, the skin beneath her clothes rapidly discolored and withered, her vitality fading.

Ai Qing’s complexion gradually paled.

”Don’t move,” Morando said with a teasing laugh, ”otherwise I can’t control myself—”

”How coincidental.”

Another voice spoke up within the room. ”I feel the same way.”

The scent of sulfur spread suddenly with the searing wind. Behind Ai Qing, a pair of amber eyes slowly opened, and a vague figure gradually emerged.

Accompanying it was the majestic and enormous, grotesque outline behind her.

It was a dragon. The crimson Evil Dragon!

With the newcomer’s low murmur, sharp talons swept out, instantly tearing the Morando before them apart, forcing him back, and enveloping Ai Qing beneath her wings.

”A dragon—”

In a moment of shock, Morando quickly retreated, finally catching sight of that fiery red hair.

—Andrea!

”You’re not Third Stage?” Morando exclaimed, instantly wary.

”Third Stage? Perhaps I was, about a month ago,” Andrea said, glancing at him with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile. ”But, aside from academic achievements, an increase in personal power like this... is hardly worth mentioning all over the place, is it?”

The Red Dragon Andrea grinned now, a ferocious, draconic projection flickered within her eyes, her brutal gaze fixed on Morando’s face. ”Since you dared to walk right into a trap, you must have come prepared, right? In that case, come and play with me!”

In an instant, a scorching torrent burst forth, effortlessly tearing through the inner layers of the train car, roaring out of the top of the Group Star, sweeping across.

The fiery blade carved an arc in the night sky in a flash.

It sent an alarm from the darkness into the distance.

Then, Andrea stepped forward. Her suit tore at the back as two grotesque wings slowly unfurled, and in her hands, the air churned.

Guided by the laws of thermodynamics, the air instantly ignited, condensed, and was refined, ultimately forming a viscous and dazzling plasma.

As she unleashed it, the plasma howled forward.

It was as if the sun had swallowed Morando in an instant.

But amidst excruciating agony, as the body burned to ashes, an endless darkness transformed into a swarm of bats. They flew out from the shattered corpse, whirling through the sky as countless crimson eyes opened.

The swarm of bats reconverged, and a blood-red Crown was already seated on Morando’s head.

—Miracle Imprint Dracula!

In that instant, Morando did not rush to attack. Instead, he sneered and began chanting a spell to invoke Disaster:

”Once upon a time, there was a dream—”

A story...

A story full of ill omen poured from his lips.

Instantly, on the Group Star, the eyes of thousands, previously clouded by stupor, slowly brightened. They began to recite along with him, narrating that dark fairy tale from the Abyss.

A story about... nightmares.
