Alchemy Master

Chapter 292, Forming the Contract

“Silly girl…” Qin Yichen muttered, placing the Phoenix Egg on the ground, then he naturally took Feng Qianxue’s small hand.

When Qin Yichen grabbed her hand, Feng Qianxue instinctively tried to pull away. However, he seemed to have anticipated this and held it firm, preventing her from withdrawing. After a moment’s hesitation, her heart trembled slightly, and she allowed it.

“Look, like this, draw this Contract Runes like this – of course, you’ll need to use your own Blood Essence to draw it.” Qin Yichen guided Feng Qianxue’s jade-like hand to draw Mystical Runes on the Phoenix Egg. This was an ancient High Grade Life Contract. This type of contract was meant for Humans and Demonic Beasts to sign, where both parties could benefit from each other. However, the Life Bound would only apply to the Demonic Beast side.

In other words, once this contract was signed, the Phoenix Egg would be Life Bound to Feng Qianxue. If Feng Qianxue perished, the Phoenix Egg would die as well. However, if something happened to the Phoenix Egg, while it would cause some harm to Feng Qianxue, it would not cost her her life.

Feng Qianxue was quite smart. After Qin Yichen demonstrated it twice, she memorised the Mystical Runes.

Immediately, she bit her jade-like finger lightly, then quickly moved it over the Phoenix Egg.

As Feng Qianxue’s finger danced, Mystical Runes formed from Blood Essence appeared on the Phoenix Egg.

*Hmmmm…* After Feng Qianxue was done, her blood strangely merged into the Phoenix Egg, which then began to tremble.

*Whoosh!* In the next instant, the space around the Phoenix Egg rippled, and then the egg vanished from the ground.

The moment the Phoenix Egg disappeared, Feng Qianxue seemed to sense something strange and stood there, stunned.

“Don’t worry, this Phoenix Egg is too severely damaged. If left exposed to the environment, it would only gradually perish. Having signed the Life Contract with you, it will merge with your Martial Soul and successfully hatch when your Martial Soul awakens.”

Qin Yichen was not surprised by this situation and reassured Feng Qianxue.

“Oh…” Feng Qianxue nodded, seeming to half-understand. Suddenly, she realised this young man seemed even more knowledgeable than the Elders in her Family. It was as if he knew everything.

“Thank you.” After a while, Feng Qianxue gathered her courage and said to Qin Yichen.

“No need to be so formal. Let’s go. With the Phoenix Egg gone, the Extreme Flame Zone will surely become unstable. Strong Martial Artists will surely notice soon enough.” Qin Yichen waved his hand and said to Feng Qianxue.

Just as they were about to leave, Qin Yichen suddenly stopped: “By the way, if you trust me, be very careful of Ouyang Haotian. His public persona is just to deceive your Family members. His real target is your Fire Phoenix Martial Soul.”

“That’s impossible! Brother Haotian is definitely not such an awful person!” Hearing Qin Yichen’s words, Feng Qianxue immediately exclaimed in disbelief. She still could not believe Ouyang Haotian would harm her.

“It’s up to you. Even if you don’t believe me, being more cautious won’t hurt.” Qin Yichen shook his head and helplessly said. “Also, don’t ever tell him about you getting the Phoenix Egg, and of course, my own secrets…”

*En.* For some reason, Feng Qianxue felt something inexplicable in her heart that made her obediently agree.

When she noticed how her attitude had changed, she felt embarrassed again. She wondered how she could have such unprecedented feelings toward someone she barely knew?

Thinking about this, Feng Qianxue could not help but ask herself, [But he gave me a Phoenix Egg without even furrowing his brow. Are we really not that close?]

After speaking, Qin Yichen strode to leave.

Perhaps because of the Phoenix Egg’s disappearance, the previous pulling force had completely vanished.

As they walked out, Qin Yichen noticed several figures slowly approaching. He and Feng Qianxue exchanged glances, and they quickly rushed out.

“Qianxue! Thank goodness you’re safe!”

Just as they exited the Extreme Flame Zone, a hypocritical voice rang out, and the detestable Ouyang Haotian appeared before them again.

Feng Qianxue only gave Ouyang Haotian’s greeting a cold glance, her attitude vastly different from before.

“What happened in there? How are you unharmed?” Ouyang Haotian’s gaze was still fixed on the Extreme Flame Zone. Clearly, he wanted to investigate inside but seemed too afraid to enter, likely due to the previous Phoenix Manifestation.

Ouyang Haotian valued his life greatly.

“Whether I’m harmed or not is none of your business.” Hearing Ouyang Haotian’s words, Feng Qianxue’s pretty face turned completely cold. His words now seemed like he had hoped she had been hurt.

“Qianxue, don’t misunderstand. I was blasted out by that Phoenix Manifestation earlier. You know such beings are beyond our ability to resist. By the way, where’s that rock?”

Ouyang Haotian noticed his words were inappropriate and immediately began explaining to Feng Qianxue. However, his words kept returning to the Phoenix Manifestation and what was inside.

“Ouyang Haotian!” Feng Qianxue glared at Ouyang Haotian and said word by word: “I’m returning back to my Family now. As for what’s inside, if you’re interested, go in and check yourself!”

After speaking, Feng Qianxue gave Qin Yichen an imperceptible glance, with what seemed like reluctance deep in her eyes.

However, Feng Qianxue quickly composed herself and left directly without saying goodbye to Qin Yichen.

“Hey kid, where’s that stone? Did you take it? Quickly hand it over!” Seeing Feng Qianxue leave, Ouyang Haotian did not immediately follow along but instead turned his attention to Qin Yichen.

“Oh please. After you left, Miss Feng and I were blasted away. How would I know where that strone went?” Qin Yichen rolled his eyes, appearing exasperated. In his words, he deliberately emphasised ‘Oh please’ and how they were ‘blasted away’, making Ouyang Haotian’s face alternate between red and green.

Because earlier, when Ouyang Haotian was explaining to Feng Qianxue, he had described his escape as him being blasted away by the Phoenix Manifestation…

“You’d better quickly go after her. By the looks of things, isn’t she livid with you?” Qin Yichen pointed at the almost-vanishing Feng Qianxue and gestured to Ouyang Haotian.

“Hmph! I guess you wouldn’t dare lie to me!” Ouyang Haotian examined Qin Yichen carefully, and seeing his unchanged expression, began to believe him somewhat.
