Chapter 1630  Training In The Poison Miasma II

Greyʼs figure flashed through the darkness, he was moving at a frightening speed, but his pace drastically reduced within a second. He had gone very deep into the miasma, and it had started attacking him. Grey currently isnʼt able to stay there for too long, even the slightest contact with it is enough to kill some Peak Sovereigns, yet Grey was fully engulfed in it. His eyes turned black, as the cracks appeared in his body in a matter of seconds. His light element kicked in instantly, trying to heal him as fast as it could, but his body was deteriorating at a faster rate. Even if a Light Elementalist at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane was caught in this place, they wouldnʼt be able to keep up with the speed at which the miasma was corroding their body. The reason Grey was still alive was due to his terrifying physical body. He turned around and hastily retreated from the place. He could feel his flesh falling off his body, but he didnʼt have the time to think about that. His only priority was leaving this place. As his body bolted back in the direction that he felt was the way out, he sensed whatever attacked him. In anger, he unleashed a powerful inscription attack. The inscription was created entirely with the light element. Even though it was very difficult to sense any other elemental particles in this place, he still unleashed a forceful attack. For the first time since he entered the miasma, he was able to see his environment thanks to this attack. When he saw the creature that attacked him, he was livid. It was a bunny, a bunny that has evolved and adapted to the miasma. He not only saw the bunny, but he also saw a building. The thought of going there flashed through his head, but when he thought about the danger, and his body that was gradually breaking down, he didnʼt dare to dally around. ʼWhy are these things always after my life?!ʼ

Grey was furious. A bunny! Once again he was placed in a difficult spot due to a stupid bunny.

ʼIʼll kill them all!ʼ The light elemental attack stopped the bunny momentarily, so it was unable to go after Grey. Grey used the opportunity to head towards the exit while hurriedly healing his body. He couldnʼt even bleed because the miasma had invaded his system. His eyes were pitch black, and one could see cracks in it. His hair had almost fallen off completely. ….

Outside the miasma. Klaus and the others were still exploring the island when they sensed Greyʼs aura from the miasma, even though it was very faint, they still sensed it. ”Greyʼs in trouble.” Alice stood up and rushed in the direction of the miasma. Not just Alice, Klaus, Reynolds, Void, and the bunny leader rushed toward the miasma. They all sensed the flash of Greyʼs aura. Given their mission here, they knew Grey would never want to expose their location to others, unless he needed help from his friends since theyʼre not together. The group arrived within a second after they sensed Greyʼs aura. Void and the bunny leader were naturally the fastest, and the sight before them made them pause for a few seconds. When Klaus and the others arrived, Klausʼs eyes twitched as he pointed at Grey in utmost shock. ”What the hell is that?!” Grey could barely stand properly, he looked at Klaus with his black eyes which had white veinlike lines on them, he was enraged, but the second he wanted to open his mouth to talk, he coughed up a mouthful of black blood. His entire body started to freeze up. The others were stunned when they saw it, but then Grey summed up the energy to speak. ”You canʼt touch me, coming too close will get you killed.” The second that statement left his mouth, Klaus and Reynolds were the first to retreat, while dragging Alice with them. Greyʼs eyes twitched once again, he hadnʼt even finished his sentence before Klaus and Reynolds retreated like he was a plague. ”Help me seal the ice, Iʼll need some time to get myself together.” Grey struggled to talk to Klaus. Klaus looked at Grey, who had seemingly lost all his charm. Even a person whose entire body was burnt looked better than what Grey looked like right now. Grey could care less about his appearance, his life was all that mattered to him right now. ʼIf only thereʼs a way to get this image of him. Given his freakish healing abilities, heʼll recover his looks in a few days at most. Iʼd like to see this and remember the days when he was not as handsome as I am.ʼ Klaus thought to himself, pained at such a missed opportunity. If any of those present knew what was going through his head at the moment, they would definitely beat him up, especially Alice. Klaus helped Grey seal himself in ice before they took Grey away. Their entire conversation and encounter took place within a few seconds. Immediately after they left, a few people arrived in the area, they looked at the black blood on the ground and someone snickered. ”People overestimating their abilities once again.”

”I wonder why they always try to enter this hell just to try to get a treasure.”

”Thereʼs no reward without a certain level of risk.” ”Iʼd like to see the fool who tried to get themselves killed this time around.”

”Weʼre a bit too late. And since the person isnʼt here, it looks like they survived.” ”Not for long. Given the toxicity of this miasma, the person has a few days left to live, at most. Iʼll be surprised if they can leave this area.” At a corner.

Two men stood side by side, staring at the people currently discussing about the potential death of the person who left the miasma. ”Can you sense the presence of the miasma energy that left this place?” One of the men asked. ”No, it vanished just at the entrance to the miasma. Itʼs like it never got out.” The other man replied. ”Should we be worried? The thing we want will be available in a few weeks at most. We have to get our hands on it.”

”Thereʼs no need. No one knows weʼre here, and itʼs best to keep it like that. With the others rushing to the Godʼs tomb, this is the only chance we have. Miss this, and weʼre toast.” ”I see, we should head back.” None of those present sensed the aura of the duo, after their short conversation, they disappeared just as silently as they appeared, they didnʼt want to waste time speculating over something they didnʼt know anything about. Since the person is most likely going to die, thereʼs no point in them wanting to find out more. Thousands of Gnomes risk their lives every month for a chance to obtain some magical treasures, so itʼs normal for this to happen. In fact, across the entire Gnome world, this place has one of the highest death rates of explorers, yet itʼs still being explored. The reason for this was because a few hundred years ago, itʼs said that there was someone who managed to explore to a certain level and survived. This person went on to become a legendary talent. Presently, heʼs regarded as the strongest Gnome in the Gnome world. His story has encouraged a lot of Gnomes to try to explore this place, but the story has almost always been the same for most of the explorers, death. ….

In one of the seven islands. The bunny leader, who had bunny spies across the entire seven islands, took them to a secure location and they watched as Klaus roughly dropped the ice cube Grey was in. Grey was currently in a cross-legged position, and the ice cube had turned black. At the moment, they could barely see his body, just the shape of his figure. The grass around the place where the ice was dropped started to freeze from the extreme cold, but not just that, there was a deadly poison that followed the cold. The flowers turned from blossoming yellow, to a grayish black. They looked like theyʼve lost all colors, but one could easily see the danger that lies within. In the cave, there was a lotus that seemed to be completely okay. Even when the rest of the flowers were showing signs of being corroded, this lotus stood proudly, close to Greyʼs ice cube. No one present noticed this. Klaus and Reynolds retreated as far as they could in the guise of patrolling the area to keep Grey safe, whereas Alice knew that they were avoiding any form of contact with Greyʼs current state. Alice gave Grey some distance as well, while also checking the surroundings. The bunny leader and Void disappeared from the location. As much as they would like to help out, this was a poison miasma that they were all powerless against. In the entire group, the only person who could deal with this issue is the one who has been affected by it, all they can do at the moment is wait.
