Chapter 2178: Chapter 2179: Magu

The Magic Fire Midir lightly chuckled, saying nothing.

Angel quietly observed the eyes of the Magic Fire Midir, seemingly having a realization: ”Just as I thought.”

The Magic Fire Midir was silent for a moment: ”Its existence...”

Pausing for a moment, the Magic Fire Midir suddenly could not find the words to describe it.

After quite some time, the Magic Fire Midir finally spoke: ”Although I don’t know what that is, being recognized by it, I believe in Mr. Pat’s character.”

The Magic Fire Midir’s words left Dangross beside them in complete confusion: ”What are you talking about? I don’t understand a single word.”

Unfortunately, no one paid attention to Dangross.

The Magic Fire Midir pondered and said: ”Forgive me for being presumptuous, but I really want to know, what kind of power is it?”

Angel: ”Your Highness wants to know about the outside, or the inside.”

The Magic Fire Midir spoke with a slightly urgent tone: ”I want to know both.”

Angel followed the Magic Fire Midir’s gaze and touched the earlobe of his left ear.

Originally, there was nothing special on his earlobe, but when his hand touched the earlobe, a concealed illusionary wave was dispelled, finally revealing a blazing Flame Mark.

Within the Elemental Tide, this Flame Mark continuously emitted a red glow, seemingly longing for something.

”This is it!” the Magic Fire Midir’s eyes lit up, unable to resist stepping forward, as if wanting to observe the Flame Mark up close.

However, just as the Magic Fire Midir tried to touch the Flame Mark with perception, a dangerous intuition arose in its mind.

Unknowable! Unobservable!

This is the absolute crushing by the King of Flames of a higher energy level over low-level fire creatures!

Having such a dangerous intuition, the Magic Fire Midir’s heart tightened, immediately retracting its gaze and closing its eyes without speaking for a long time.

On the other side, Dangross was also curiously observing, as this Flame Mark emitted a feeling that was very familiar to it.

Earlier, after the Elemental Tide began, it vaguely felt that Angel emitted a wave that made it want to get close, at the time it thought it was a misperception, but now it seems that it was exactly this Flame Mark that gave it that feeling.

”What exactly is this?” Dangross couldn’t help but ask in curiosity.

After regaining mental tranquility, the Magic Fire Midir also opened its eyes and gazed at Angel, hoping to get an answer from his mouth.

Angel thought for a moment: ”On my earlobe is a Flame Mark given by a Flame Abyssal Dragon, whose name is Odeclass.”

Flame Abyss... Dragon?!

The Magic Fire Midir and Dangross both showed puzzled and startled expressions; although they had never heard the name Odeclass, they had heard of ”dragons.” In this world, there are many legends about dragons. The King of the Green Forest Domain dreams of transforming into a dragon of nature in the future.

Therefore, being titled a ”dragon” is not to be underestimated.

The Magic Fire Midir had never cared about ”dragons” before, but after feeling the mental oppression of the King of Flames just now, its heart changed as well.

No wonder this Flame Mark is unknowable, unobservable—it’s bestowed by a legendary ”dragon.”

The Magic Fire Midir’s emotions were completely replaced by shock at this moment.

And Dangross looked at Angel with eyes that shifted from indifferent to a newfound respect.

The atmosphere thusly settled for a long while before the Magic Fire Midir broke the silence with a voice.

”I can vaguely sense that there seems to be a deeper power within the Flame Mark, it’s a kind of...” the Magic Fire Midir closed its eyes, trying to describe the feeling that power gave it, but no word could accurately express it, finally encapsulating it in a simple sentence: ”a profound and magnificent power.”

The Magic Fire Midir looked at Angel, hoping for an answer.

Angel: ”I told you about the outside, but the inside... unspeakable.”

The Magic Fire Midir: ”Is that also the power of the Abyssal Dragon?”

Angel maintained his smile but did not answer. The matter of the Primeval Flame was too significant to casually reveal to others, even if the other party was a fire creature.

The Magic Fire Midir noticed the determination in Angel’s eyes and understood that unless by force, it was nearly impossible to get the answer from Angel.

And as for using force... The Magic Fire Midir wasn’t entirely confident that it could pry open Angel’s mouth, not to mention, Angel showed no sign of fear from start to finish, clearly having his trump cards too.

The most important was, Angel was human, a kin of the Savior, and carried the lineage of Kalomchis. If previously by following the spying affair, they could take advantage of the situation, but now this matter has been publicly known.

To avoid the wrath of Kalomchis’s worshipers, using force is out of the question.

The Magic Fire Midir never intended to use force in the first place.

It secretly sighed in its heart: ”Since it cannot be told, Mr. Pat surely has unspeakable reasons. Further questioning would be discourteous.”

After expressing this stance, the Magic Fire Midir indeed did not pursue the matter of the Flame Mark any further, steering the conversation back to Toby.

Angel was also curious about Kalomchis, especially interested in the story of the ”Savior” behind Kalomchis, which Angel particularly wanted to know.

Although the Magic Fire Midir did not live in the same era as Kalomchis, it is currently the King of the Region of Fire and is knowledgeable about many secrets, sharing lots of stories related to Kalomchis with Angel. There were so many deeds even Dangross had not heard of, that it was utterly captivated in listening.

After listening, Angel felt astonished and amazed, just a bit disappointed that the feats of Kalomchis recounted by the Magic Fire Midir were all about how its rule brought Tidal World back to vibrancy after an apocalyptic disaster.

These stories, while completing the modern history of the Tidal World, lacked the part that Angel was most concerned about—The Savior.

Once the Magic Fire Midir had finished speaking, Angel quickly asked: ”I wonder, how much does Your Highness know about the Savior behind Kalomchis?”

The Magic Fire Midir shook its head: ”The matters of that Savior passed down sparsely, even if some know, they are unwilling to speak, and I don’t know much.”

”Then who would know?”

The Magic Fire Midir thought for a moment: ”Perhaps those from the Savior’s era.”

The Magic Fire Midir finished speaking, and without waiting for Angel to ask, continued: ”In the Region of Fire, there are not many from the Savior’s era left. And even if they were from the same era, it doesn’t mean they had contact with the Savior. If you really want to know, perhaps you can search for Dangross’s teacher.”

”Magu?” Angel still remembered this name.

Midir nodded: ”Yes, Teacher Magu is also my teacher, the Sage of this region, who survived the cataclysm. Previously, Kalomchis had a good relationship with Teacher Magu, so Teacher Magu should know something about the Savior.”

Angel: ”Can I meet this Teacher Magu?”

Midir: ”You can, and I believe Teacher Magu would also like to meet you, the second human to appear in this realm over the years. However, about the Savior, I once asked Teacher Magu as well, and he barely responded. So, even if you see him, you might not get the answers you desire.”

Angel: ”Whether or not I get the answers, I must meet him first to know.”

Midir nodded with a smile, then turned around and pointed at Dangross held by the Hand of Magic: ”Let it take you there, Teacher Magu happens to be looking for it.”

Angel turned to look at Dangross, who was solemnly staring at Angel’s earlobe as if studying something, only snapping out of it after being flicked twice by the Hand of Magic: ”What happened? What’s the matter?”

Midir explained the situation to Dangross.

Dangross nodded without hesitation: ”No problem, I’ll take Mr. Pat to see Teacher Magu now, I also have things to ask the teacher.”

Angel asked casually: ”What matters?”

Dangross replied subconsciously: ”The Flame Mark on Mr. Pat’s earlobe gives me a strange feeling, so I want Teacher Magu to take a look at what’s going on.”

After speaking, Dangross realized it was Angel who asked.

It covered its mouth with its thumb, with a face showing it said the wrong thing.

Angel didn’t mind; even with the Illusion Technique concealing it, Midir could sense the anomaly of the Flame Mark, so Teacher Magu, who had lived for unknown years, probably would detect the abnormality at first glance too.

Angel: ”Shall we go now?”

Dangross had no objection.

Midir also didn’t stop them, only saying: ”Can I ask Mr. Pat one last question?”

Angel: ”No problem, Your Highness, please ask.”

Midir looked deeply into Angel’s eyes: ”I want to know, what exactly did Mr. Pat come to our world for?”

Angel had actually anticipated this question, even thinking Midir asked it later than he expected, originally thinking Midir would ask at the start.

Angel: ”Before answering this question, I want to know something. Does Your Highness remember the stone in the area where you fought with my servant before?”

”The stone with the painting of the Old King’s flame inheritance, Silouette?”

Angel nodded: ”I want to know, who painted that picture?”

Previously, Angel had asked Dangross, but unfortunately, Dangross didn’t know. Angel wanted to hear if Midir, the new king, knew about the situation of that painting.

”That painting...” A trace of nostalgia flashed in Midir’s eyes, and after a while, he said: ”It has been there for a very long time, I originally thought it was a symbol of the king. When I became king, I also wanted to create one. Later, when I asked Teacher Magu, I found out that the Savior painted it.”

”The Savior took the then ruler of the Region of Fire as a reference, and left a painting on that stone. Over the years, it has never faded...”

After speaking, Midir clearly was filled with emotion.

Angel felt the same emotion at that moment.

Although he previously speculated that the Savior might be Feng, he had no solid evidence. Now that Midir provided confirmation, the Savior was indeed the renowned Magic Painter Wizard Miraphere Feng.

”This answer confirmed some things... I can answer Your Highness’s earlier question now.” Angel paused, then said: ”I came to the Tidal World this time precisely to follow the Savior’s footsteps.”

”Is that so?” Midir murmured softly, without continuing to ask why Angel wanted to do this, but instead, asked with interest: ”Tidal World, is that your name for this world?”

”It’s the Savior’s name for this world.”

”It sounds familiar, seems like Teacher Magu also calls this world that way.” After Midir finished, he did not continue the topic but instead, looked at Angel earnestly: ”Although the Savior once saved the Tidal World, humans, in our inherited knowledge, are not a good race... I just hope that your presence will not bring new disasters to the Tidal World again.”

Angel pondered: ”I can only ensure that I personally do not cause inconvenience to this world. But for other humans, I can offer no promises.”

In Angel’s view, the merging of planes might not necessarily be a bad thing for the Tidal World, at least this world would have the opportunity to connect with the true ”big league” of the Wizards’ Realm. But for the life of the Tidal World, this was an apocalypse.

Midir hoped Angel wouldn’t bring new disasters, but he didn’t know that the Tidal World had already merged with the Wizards’ Realm and there was a gateway for entry and exit created. Even if he kept this hidden, others would eventually discover it in the future.

From different perspectives, the way of seeing problems is naturally different.

Achieving absolute safety, and absolutely avoiding external disasters, this in reality is not feasible.

”You mean, there will be more humans entering the Tidal World?” Midir frowned.

”When the apocalypse summoned whom you call the Savior, the gateway to the Tidal World opened to the outside world. In the future, even if I didn’t come, someone else would, so I can only guarantee myself, not others.”

”Seems like there’s a lot I don’t know about this secret.” Midir looked deeply at Angel and then, after a long while, nodded: ”Alright, but, if you ever have time, can you chat with me about what this ’gateway’ to the Tidal World means?”

Angel: ”I will if there’s a chance.”

Midir took a deep breath, saying no more, and signaled Dangross to lead Angel to see Magu.

With Midir’s approval, Angel also retrieved his Hand of Magic and released Dangross.

Angel walked to the edge of the cliff and looked down at Toby, his lips moving slightly.

Toby, who was enjoying a bath in volcanic magma, immediately flapped his large Gryphon wings, flew up, and finally stopped in front of Angel.

”I’m going to leave for a bit. Do you want to stay here or come with me?”

Before Toby could answer, another voice rang out: ”Honorable sir, I am your descendant...”

Of course, it was Dangross speaking, but before Dangross could finish speaking, it was hit by Toby’s wing and sent flying, crashing into the volcano wall, then sliding to the ground with a thud...
