Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 2174: Chapter 2175: World’s Harmony

”What is the World’s Harmony?”

Perhaps feeling confident of victory, or maybe being carried away with excitement, Dangross answered Angel’s question directly for the first time, possibly wanting to see the ”spy” looking frightened.

According to Dangross’s description, the ”World’s Harmony” is a powerful force governed by the World Will that is unique to this realm.

It appears once every certain period.

The precursor to its appearance is a buzzing sound, with strange fluctuations covering every inch of space, and energy becoming condensed.

What follows is the transformation that Angel is particularly concerned about—

The energy condensation doesn’t last long. Soon, the elemental power in every corner of this continent will become extremely rich and active.

According to Dangross, by then, the richness and activity of the elemental power will be several times that of the current levels.

What does this mean?

A junior apprentice casting a level 0 fire spell here could result in effects akin to a high-level trick! This isn’t good news for the junior apprentice, as they might burn themselves; but for the elemental creatures here, it’s as if they’ve become overpowered.

The elemental creatures’ power will reach its peak!

The energy they casually release could be at the level of spell techniques!

This is why Dangross is so gloating, because once the World’s Harmony is activated, even an elemental sprite like him can rival a mature elemental creature!

By that time, even if Earl Mi’s strength is at the True Knowledge Level, they still won’t be able to contend with this group of overpowered elemental creatures.

After speaking, Dangross laughed maniacally, its fiery eyes gazing at the energy ripples covering the entire world, shouting chaotically and excitedly.

Although Dangross’s shouting was purely nonsensical, with disconnected sentences, Angel still managed to extract some information from it.

The reason Dangross is so excited, besides dealing with the ”spy,” is that Dangross was actually born during a World’s Harmony.

Thus, Dangross has a childlike affection for the World’s Harmony.

”Under the World’s Harmony, the elemental power is several times more active than it is now...” Angel silently pondered, and if this were true, the value of the Tidal World might increase several times over.

Just the elemental creatures alone would drive the entire Southern Domain Wizard World mad. Adding the appearance of the World’s Harmony, this place could definitely be considered a Holy Land for elemental side wizard practice. Angel couldn’t even imagine what reactions the Wizards’ Realm would have...

As for safety issues and Dangross’s threat, Angel wasn’t worried. So what if elemental creatures’ combat power increases? He planned to retreat anyway, using the Gravity Meridian and The Gate of Void to ensure a safe exit.

If worst comes to worst, he’d run back to the main world through that mini passage.

Angel couldn’t believe that these elemental creatures could pass through the hidden door left by the Magic Painter Wizard.

Although Angel was confident in his retreat, to avoid failure, he carefully observed the surrounding energy reactions, ready to open the door and leave as soon as the condensed energy disappeared.

The buzzing sound continued for a full minute.

When it ended, Dangross shouted loudly, ”It’s coming, it’s coming!”

As the words fell, a strange transformation began to happen rapidly.

If there were a God’s View at this moment, one could see dense energy gathering above the entire continent.

The energy was so dense that even the Material Realm could observe their colors: the vibrant and surging red, the bright yet heavy yellow, the flawless but cold white, and the deep yet empty black... All these energies, like broad celestial ribbons, wrapped layer upon layer over the entire continent.

Different colors represented different elements, each responsible for its own territory, and the elemental force representing fire covered the area where Angel currently was.

Angel couldn’t see the changes in the high sky at the moment, but he could feel a special frequency of fluctuation descending from the sky.

This special frequency was like tidal waves, washing over all the elemental power in the world.

The dormant elements became active; the dark elements became bright; the turbulent elements became pure...

It changed everything around with visible transformation.

For example, the flames within Dangross began to blaze fiercely, and the poor energy intensity kept increasing. This increase even fed back into its form, making its fingers more slender, and the wrist of its severed hand visibly growing longer. Though not by much, it was indeed lengthening.

Additionally, the flames of the kneeling flame giant, which were somewhat silent before, also surged and grew.

In the distance, the frost power covering the Lava Giant Whale Gulada and the Fire Phoenix were slowly melting; this melting affected not only their surface but also showed signs of breaking the ice on their elemental cores. It wouldn’t take long for them to regain their glory, and perhaps even become stronger than before!

Even within Angel’s body, the fire elements were undergoing noticeable changes, becoming more harmonic and more congruent.

In just over ten seconds, Angel felt as if the flames within him were reborn.

If he had practiced more fire elements or mastered fire metamorphosis, the changes might have been greater.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t an elemental side wizard, and his research on fire elements was limited, so the amplification he received could only be considered mediocre.

Instead, Toby attracted a large amount of fire elements into its body without any pressure and continued to absorb more.

Since the fire elements within Angel could no longer amplify, and he couldn’t move, he simply studied the special frequency of the washing elemental energy.

”Like tidal waves, wave after wave washing over, with each wave accumulating stronger energy, making the next wave denser...” Angel thought to himself, ”This scenario is somewhat like an energy... tide.”

”Or call it an elemental tide.”

Angel paused for a moment, and Feng’s map surfaced in his mind.

The remaining information on it clearly stated: Tidal World.

”That explains it.”

Previously, Angel was somewhat confused about why this place was called the Tidal World, but now thinking back, it seemed to be clearer.

The so-called tide might not refer to actual tides.

But instead refers to this World’s Harmony, the elemental tide.

...

Five more minutes passed, and the surrounding condensed energy gradually began to dissipate.

Angel hadn’t noticed yet, but Dangross did.

”The elemental power is about to reach its peak, hahahaha, you’re finished, you’re finished!” Dangross was still absorbing the fire amplification brought by the elemental tide, but its eagerness to see Frost Isel’s spy captured made it suppress its increased power and indulge in some trash talk.

Its trash talk unintentionally reminded Angel, bringing him back to awareness to focus on the surrounding energy changes.

A slight perception.

Sure enough, as Dangross said, the previous marsh-like sluggish feeling started to fade.

Once completely faded, it would be time to leave!

Angel couldn’t help but cast a look of admiration at Dangross; indeed, it was a simpleton. Without its reminder, he really wouldn’t have noticed.

Angel’s bizarre gaze made Dangross shiver all over; it always felt that there was some ill intent, and recalling its previous encounters, it was actually a bit afraid of Angel...

At this moment, a cry pierced the sky.

Dangross and Angel simultaneously looked back, only to see the flaming Phoenix that had fallen into dust before re-ignite with a blaze, lifting its head high to call out to the heavens.

A flicker of joy flashed in Dangross’ eyes, seemingly feeling confident, it immediately turned and said smugly to Angel, ”You’re finished, you’re finished!”

Angel ignored Dangross and quietly gazed into the distance.

It wasn’t just Phoenix that restored; the magma frozen on Gulada had resumed flowing, and the Darkflame Werewolf frozen into an ice sculpture in the distance had thawed, with the black-purple flames around it becoming even more intense...

”Resurrecting in place is already quite shameless, but to resurrect fully healed... No, not just fully healed, but upgraded with full health.” Angel lamented, using White Bear’s words, this is no longer fate’s favor, but the child of fate.

”No matter what, let’s hurry and retreat later.”

As Angel silently waited for the energy to settle, a drop of red rain suddenly fell from the sky.

This drop of red rain fell not far away, and upon hitting the ground, instantly ignited a blazing flame on the scorched earth.

Another drop of red rain fell, and the flame burst forth again.

Drip, drip—

Scattered red rain fell from the sky, continuously igniting the surrounding scorched earth, and in an instant, the surrounding ground transformed into fierce flames.

Watching the falling red rain, Angel’s expression became somewhat delicate.

This delicacy carried a sense of realization, as well as shock and helplessness.

The realization was that he now finally understood what the Shannon Royal Family always referred to as ”Treasure Liquid.” The so-called Treasure Liquid was precisely this red rain. This was not an actual rain, but a form of fire elemental crystals compressed to the extreme yet maintaining a relatively stable structure. Because of the stability of the fire element structure, it could grant ordinary soldiers a bit of elemental power.

The shock was that these fire elemental crystals are a kind of natural demonic material; although not highly valuable, presently they were falling like raindrops, illustrating the astonishing intensity of the fire element energy.

The helplessness was due to the fire rain falling, reigniting scorched earth, and causing the fire element energy to start exploding, making it difficult to open The Gate of Void under such circumstances.

Angel sighed, realizing that he would soon need to use the Gravity Meridian.

As he thought of this, the nearby sluggish energy finally entered its dispersal phase.

Not only did Angel start preparing to retreat, but also the surrounding fire element creatures ceased absorbing the surging elemental power and instead cast a menacing gaze towards Angel and Earl Mi.

The hostility was apparent.

Angel said to Earl Mi, ”Once we can move, immediately enter my shadow.”

Earl Mi slightly nodded, indicating understanding.

Angel lowered his head again, intending to communicate with Toby, but found that Toby was still closed-eyed, enjoying the cleansing of the Elemental Tide, completely oblivious to the changes outside.

Angel considered it and decided not to disturb Toby. Anyway, later when his soul projects out, he could similarly use the Gravity Meridian.

Half a minute later, the settled energy finally completely dissipated.

At the moment of dissipation, the surrounding fire element creatures suddenly began to roar, all charging towards Angel’s position.

”Go!” Once Earl Mi sank into his shadow, Angel didn’t hesitate, his soul directly projected out, carrying his physical body, and flew away along the path he came.

”Let me go!” Dangross’ voice sounded from behind, accompanied by several bursts of explosive sounds.

When Angel left, he still took Dangross along. Dangross wanted to rely on the reinforced flames to break free, but the Alchemist’s Hand of Magic was born to withstand high temperatures, completely unafraid of any of Dangross’ actions... Unless it self-exploded.

Even if Dangross self-exploded, Angel had a way to deal with it.

Moreover, Dangross lacked the courage to self-explode, so it could only continue to be held by the Hand of Magic, unable to escape fate’s wrist clutch.

Angel activated the Gravity Meridian and instantly returned to the vicinity of the mini-passage he had entered before.

Angel glanced back, there were no fire element creatures pursuing.

Feeling relieved, he was about to enter the mini-passage for refuge when a drop of fire rain right ahead suddenly exploded without any forewarning.

Now still amid the Elemental Tide, the concentration of fire element energy reached unprecedented levels, with a fire rain’s explosion alone causing intense tremors.

Moreover, the fire rain was not just a single drop!

Although the fire rain was not dense, under the current circumstances, it was enough to trigger a chain reaction!

One drop of fire rain exploded, causing the surrounding fire rain to explode along with it.

A series of explosions not only interrupted Angel’s speed but also ignited the surrounding air, forming streams of flames akin to chains of fire serpents, raging outwards.

Fire rain continued to fall, each drop causing a chain explosion in this vicinity.

In this situation, Angel found it almost impossible to make progress.

Finally, Angel found a way out, intending to fly through, when yet another drop of fire rain exploded out of nowhere, triggering a series of explosions that blocked the only exit.

Angel’s pupils slightly contracted; once could be chance, but for it to happen twice and just blocking the path, this was definitely not coincidence.

At this moment, Earl Mi slowly emerged from Angel’s shadow, gazing toward the path of retreat they had initially taken.

Earl Mi’s proactive appearance was revealing enough.

Angel also looked towards the distance.

Only to see within the smoke screen, amidst the fire rain, emerged a humanoid figure approximately three meters tall.

Upon its appearance, Dangross, held by the Hand of Magic, suddenly cried out excitedly, ”It’s the New King... The New King is here! I’m here; come save me!”

After Dangross’ excitement, it seemed to realize something: ”I’m, I’m, I’m not asking you for rescue, I’m just telling you to eliminate these two spies of Frost Isel!”

The newcomer glanced at Dangross and then withdrew his gaze, muttering in a voice almost like sleep-talking, ”Frost Isel... Hehe.”

The laughter carried no clarity, nor reached its eyes.

Soon, the newcomer stepped out of the smoke screen, revealing his true identity.

When Angel saw the newcomer, a trace of astonishment flashed in his eyes.

He had already learned from Dangross’ mouth that the newcomer was the New King, Magma Midir.

Previously, he thought Magma Midir would resemble a black fire monkey, but now, it seems not.

Though the new king’s figure was akin to a human, its true form seemed more like... a Demon.
